The appointment for x-ray was scheduled for 1:10pm. It took us an hour to be seen, the employees at check-in were not helpfull at all and did not provide the estimated wait time. Every patient at radilogy was waiting an hour or more for their appointment. I asked to see the manager who I had to wait to see too. The manager clearly did not understand how to manage the situation or prevent these delays from happening in the future. read more

Unfortunately I found myself needing to come here quite a few times for my two year old daughter. For my daughter I wanted the best of the best so we went with the head of the department. Dr. Alexandra Elliot of ophthalmology is AMAZING. She is so kind and actually listens to you as her patient. If you need to get in contact with her, I suggest via email as she replies FAST. I would recommend her in a heartbeat to any other parent who may need a surgical eye procedure done on their child. The waiting area keeps my daughter entertained, with coloring materials, a tv that plays Disney Jr shows, and they even have a Wii for kids to mess with. Staff has always been very nice the times we've gone, only once did we ever wait longer than anticipated. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Dennis Kramer from orthopedics. I can't say enough about him. In 2021 I was hit by a landscaping truck in the hip and ankle. I was doing PT in the Waltham location my hip was better but not my ankle come to find out that I had a complete tear of my ATFL and another tear. Luckily Dr. Kramer fixed my ankle a month ago. This was my second ankle surgery in three years. The first one was at an adult hospital that one didn't go to well after surgery I ended up going to wound care for six months. Luckily my recovery is going pretty smooth. Thanks again Dr. Kramer. read more

Stay away from this Ophthalmology department! The hospital scams its patients, and does not have transparent billing practices. Our doctor made a mistake when coding our visit and then refused to correct her mistake even after we showed proof and requested a coding review. Boston Children's Hospital charged over $950 for an eye exam, and did not accept vision insurance. Stay far away. Average service, no professionalism. Are they here for kids and families, or to make a profit? Shame on them! read more

Today, my family and I had the worst experience of our lives at Boston Children's Waltham. My 8 year old daughter was medicated to "sleep" and extract 2 permanent teeth. We were told that she would go to sleep, wouldn't remember anything and would feel no pain. As soon as she started to get sleepy I was happy that everything was going as expected, there were no surprises and my mother's heart was at peace that everything would be fine. But nurse Olivia from Dr. Green was giving too much medication into her vein and she didn't sleep. Suddenly, without any prior explanation, I was taken from the room where she was still awake and scared, and when I asked if I could stay I was threatened to call the police, because a mother who did not resist any request was just trying to understand what was going on. happening, and also wanted information about my legal rights to actually have to go out and leave my daughter helpless, awake, and alone with Dr. Green. I left and waited in another room very sad, frustrated and insecure to leave my little helpless daughter alone with a medical team that no longer had my trust. In less than 5 minutes Dr. Green appeared in the waiting room and said everything was done. My daughter's 2 teeth were extracted in cold blood, without anesthesia, she was awake, remembers everything that happened and felt a lot of pain. You disrespected us as human beings, you disrespected our trust and a simple procedure became absolutely horrible and traumatizing. A totally unprepared and authoritarian team. read more

When my appendix exploded all over my guts at twelve years old, I was taken to the grown up hospital where mauve and beige ruled the wards. But now, NOW that I have a baby, I can rock out at Children's Hospital Waltham! Sweet, dude! There is tons of crazy paintings, colorful lights, and abstract wall decor to distract your little one from their aches and ailments. The doctors seriously walk around in clown shoes and goofy ties (circa Patch Adams), and the nurses are all young and happy with neon scrubs and smiles on like Donkey Kong. Our specialist was absolutely friendly and helpful, and was able to squash my fears about my sweetpea being seriously ill. I know hospitals are supposed to be serious and scary, but Children's is amazing. You feel better here, even if you're not the sickie. read more

Please be cautious when selecting this hospital for a simple eye exam for a kid as their pricing are non-transparent and are at least 3 times as much as any other ophthalmologist. We called the hospital to schedule a standard new patient eye exam for our daughter. Not an emergency situation but rather a standard eye exam. No one warned us that this hospital rates are 3 times as much as getting an eye exam from any other place. Let me be specific a new patient eye exam from this hospital (just standard exam) is over $600. The same exam at any other place would be around $200. So please be aware before you go as no one will provide you this information beforehand. Good doctors but horrible non transparent pricing scheme. read more

I continue to be impressed by each facility I visit that is part of Children's Hospital. Granted I am an adult being treated by their doctors I could see myself bringing a child here. The professionalism and the decor exceed my expectations and you can tell they care for their patients. This facility offers free parking which is very convenient and the walk to the facility after is short. I would highly recommend this location for followup visits because of the parking. read more

This is our second time seeing Dr. Choi in Otolaryngology for my daughter's nose congestion. Our first visit was in January and Dr. Choi said adenoids removal wasn't necessary yet. Unfortunately, our daughter's snoring and congestion has gotten much worse. She can pretty much breathe only from her mouth, causing dry/cracked lips and dry mouth. It is restricting her from sports, which concerns us as she gets winded fairly easily. Our appointment was at 9:30am, a medical assistant called us in at 9:50am to get height and weight. She told us to return to the waiting room. She called us back again maybe ten minutes later bringing us to an available room. Finally at 10:10am, Megan comes in, introduces herself as a nurse practitioner and discusses various allergy medication and sprays. We explain we don't want to medicate our daughter for the rest of her life and we were wondering more about adenoid removal. She leaves and finally Dr. Choi strolls in at 10:30am. No apology just awkward smile and laughter. She begins by saying she hears that we are requesting adenoid removal. She explains to us as if we were five year old children that it will not cure the congestion, but will require daily use of allergy medication/sprays after the surgery. The entire time she keeps smirking saying they love to do surgeries there; and she would be happy to do it as we are requesting it to be done. No, we never requested it, we inquired more about it. Two very different things. We left feeling irritated about the one hour wait, no apology and cocky attitude and smirk. We didn't understand the need of having Megan, the "NP", come to see us. All she did was use the light and looked into our daughter's ears, nose and throat without mentioning what she saw. We assume she probably didn't know what she was looking at anyway. Dr. Choi didn't even bother to look this time around. What if something had changed? We will never know. We are very disappointed with the attitude of Dr. Choi this time as she was fine when we first saw her in January. We chose this location to avoid parking/travel hassles into town. We figured these doctors rotate from various hospitals and we would receive the same treatment. Unfortunately not. We will not be returning here and we will not recommend Dr. Choi to anybody. read more

This location is tucked away near downtown Waltham and is a fairly new campus or satellite to Children's Boston. It is quite a nice facility away from the hustle and bustle of the Longwood area and with free parking! What makes this place stand out is the staff. I want to congratulate this hospital on an exceptional staff that really goes above and beyond to make a child's visit seamless and easy. I have not experienced Children's Boston, but if it is anything like this, they must be doing something right! read more

Updated, clean, friendly, easy to navigate, well decorated, very welcoming which is nice since hospitals can be so dreary and intimidating. Such an easy check in process too, which can be arduous at hospitals. They sent me a registration form in the mail ahead of time to save time at the registration desk (brilliant!) AND had the HIPAA forms ready for me to sign at the highlighted areas upon arrival. Dr Lee (urology, saw him for a minor issue for my 5 mo old son) and his staff were all extremely friendly, courteous and on the ball. Oh and did I mention FREE parking, AND spots right in as you pull into the garage reserved for folks with infants and strollers. I'd come here again anytime. read more

If your child has a life threatening medical problem go to Childrens. If your child needs routine care or a follow up specialist visit do yourself and your pocketbook a favor and go someplace else. The service cost at this hospital is simply NUTS. I'm looking at my bill now and I was charged $839 for an exam that generally costs $130 at another clinic. Even if you have great insurance and have already met your deductible, please do not reward providers that inflate the cost of medical care. read more

I cannot say how the rst of Children's Hospital Boston is run, but I CAN say...that if your child has ANY ( and i DO mean ANY ) eye issues...you need to go to Dr Elliott. She is absolutely the most amazing, warm, kind, friendly, loving person ever. My son had a very odd ( apparently rare in the eye area ) hemangioma ( sp ?) behind his eye. She saw it, and she fixed it. We drive three and a half hours to see her and I wouldn't care if we had to drive three and a half DAYS. It is worth it. From one mom to another, trust me...this is THE place to go and she is THE Dr to see. read more

I am so disappointed with the eye care department. I took my son in for a specific reason. Got a referral for that reason. They proceeded to set me up with an ordinary eye doctor for a routine eye exam. I was totally unaware that my needs were not being met until the appointment was over and I was wondering what the heck just happened. I was sent a bill for $933.00 for an eye exam!!!!! I would have gone to my neighborhood doctor that I trust for $100. What are they thinking!!!! I have spoken with the billing department trying to resolve this. I did not make an appointment for an eye exam. They keep saying they are looking into it, but then I get bills saying they are late!! They are not trustworthy. I am do frustrated!!! Think twice before bringing your child here. Just because it says Children's they feel they can rob you. The service was terrible too. read more

Unfortunately my kids have been accident prone over the last year, and we have made several visits to the Children's Hospital Ortho Clinic at Waltham. I really trust the staff with my children, and they have provided accurate diagnosis and excellent care during each of our visits. Today, my daughter needed to have a cast put on her arm while she was in a significant amount of pain. David demonstrated excellent bedside manner and really has a great way with kids. He told my daughter jokes and funny stories the whole time he was applying her cast to take her mind off the discomfort. Great job, David. Thank you. read more

I leave the house at 6:30 AM, so I'm assuming the culprits are mostly employees. Been to the clinic in here a few times, no complaints.
