With an option to have the shop create a unique blend of petals and greens, I chose that option. My only input was noted that my daughter loves peonies, roses and daisies ~ design away! My daughter absolutely loves the arrangement. I highly recommend Colleen's Flower Shop. They are professional, fast and reasonably priced. Thank you to all of the staff for making this such a happy experience. *I thank the whole staff because I had a goof up with the address - emailed the shop to request a fix - so quickly expedited, and soon after I received an email confirmation letting me know that everything was good-to-go. You can see pictures of the elevated Orange Line before it was was moved, including the old stations Dover and Northampton (the latter used to overlook the flower shop). I try to support local, small businesses. I have purchased many flowers from this shop over the years. Most were online with delivery. Thankfully any of the times I was in the shop I had minimal interactions with the owner. I recently called the shop and spoke with Heidi to order an arrangement for my brother in-law's burial. I explained that this was especially difficult as he was killed in an accident. We decided on an arrangement, a price and a day/time that I would pick them up. When I arrived for pick-up the flowers were more expensive than the price we discussed. No explanation was given and when I asked about it she said it was because she used more roses. I think that any consumer would agree that a business should never change an invoice without notifying the customer. It doesn't matter if it is for $15 or $500. There was a price and it was agreed upon. If she wanted to change things, she needed to check with me first Her response was unprofessional and unkind. "You am never happy" and went off about the flowers, etc. I did complain ONCE about a delivery that was VERY small and skimpy compared to the photo and the price. What she said was untrue and uncalled for. When I told her that I could not have this conversation with her on this specific day as I was going to a funeral (which she knew) and to please just run my credit card, she did not stop. I had to ask her again to please stop talking and to just run my credit card. The icing on the cake was that my credit card was charged TWICE for this arrangement, which was several hundred dollars. That was an ordeal itself to get it corrected. I will NEVER purchase flowers from this business again. I hope whatever satisfaction she got from being so unkind to me on such a difficult day was worth it.

I would rather support local than chains/grocery stores. So my plan was to stop in on Saturday in which their hours on google and everything else said 9am-3pm. When I arrived at 1pm parking was hard to find. I ended up going down a side neighborhood street to park. Once I walked over to the store it was looking dark with no open sign. Door was locked and when I peaked in there was definitely no one working. I am just disappointed that google hours, Facebook hours and yelp all said they were open until 3. I understand it was a holiday weekend and everyone enjoys time off but at least on their door to their business they should have a sign explaining that they're closed and even maybe post something about it as I could not see any information anywhere. Unfortunately I feel like I won't try to give them business in the future as I feel like my time was wasted but I always have a change of heart. We shall see.

The bouquet was great -- good variety, good selection, good quality, and a pretty good value for the money. (Certainly better than what I'd get using a 3rd party service like FTD.) Admittedly, I was a bit nervous selecting Hiroko after a few email exchanges but my gut told me Hiroko wasn't like any other florist. During our in-person consultation, Hiroko took the time to understand my preferences and to explain her artistic interpretation via sketches. I kick myself now for not asking to keep her sketches; they were works of art! My expectations after the consultation were high but Hiroko took my breath away when I saw my wedding bouquet and arrangements. The arrangement was beautiful and perfect for the occasion. When it dried, my daughter kept it. When my daughter was given the responsibility of getting flowers for a work reason, she recommended Hanaya Floral. They could do a much better job for the budgeted price. I do not live near this florist, but I asked her help when a dear friend was terminally ill and I wanted to send a very special arrangement. My friend and her husband were NYC sophisticated with artistic sensibilities. Hanaya Floral discussed an arrangement with a local to the patient florist who delivered an awesome arrangement. When my spouse and I were in Cambridge we stopped by Hanaya Floral in person. The owner is a gentle soul and made us feel welcome even though we were not shopping for an arrangement at that time.
