Like most people I did a fair amount of research into picking a surgeon who had a good track record and also had done quite a few of these. Dr. Phan rose to the top because of his reviews and upon meeting him he exudes confidence and humility which is a rare combination in a physician. The procedure turned out great and you couldn't ask for a nicer more caring person than Dr Phan. His practice is what they call a concierge and for basically the price of a cup of coffee per day you get unbelievable access to him and the old adage you get what you pay for certainly applies. Two months post procedure all systems are go. I couldn't recommend him more highly. The support staff is a well oil machine and very peronable.

I had a very frustrating experience with The Clark Center Surgery…read more I needed to reschedule my surgery due to nerves and wanting more time to fully understand the risks. That is when I was told about a $500 cancellation fee within two weeks, something that was never clearly communicated. My entire scheduling process was handled through text, not a single phone call, and even at my pre op appointment exactly two weeks before surgery, this fee was never mentioned. When I called, I was repeatedly told "it is the policy" without any real explanation. I asked to speak to a manager, and the assistant administrator, Shannon, called me back. Unfortunately, she was very difficult to deal with. Her tone was stern and dismissive, and I barely had a chance to explain my concerns before she said, "Angela, it is our policy," speaking slowly in a way that felt condescending. I explained that I was not calling to argue that they have policies. My concern was the lack of communication and the fact that everything was scheduled so close to that two week window. I asked to speak with the administrator since she reports to them, but she refused and said, "No, this is my job, and no one will be calling you back." At one point, she also said, "Well, I am going to charge your credit card on file," which was completely inappropriate. I fully understand that offices have policies, but this is surgery, clear communication matters. Patients should not be expected to rely on fine print from an initial visit when surgery was not even planned yet. Even on my preop, it was not mentioned. I do want to say Dr. Clark and Carrie have been great, but because of how this was handled, I will not be returning.

My…read morehusband and I are currently fighting a bill because Dr. Lee's office is billing this as a hospital bill instead of a doctor's visit and they refuse to fix the billing codes. The charges are astronomical because it's as if my husband walked into the ER for and ER visit and labs (imagine how much more hospitals charge for this than a regular doctor). So we have now received a bill for almost $600 plus another bill from a lab that is "out-of-area" (without my husband's consent). If you make a regular doctor's visit appointment, BEWARE that you will be charged as if you went to the hospital at UCI instead of the doctor's office where you made the appointment. Please see 2 photos attached. There are more charges, but this shows how they are billing with hospital codes.We have seen several doctors who have offices in medical centers and have never been billed this way. This is unacceptable and we will continue to fight this!

During my first pregnancy (2022), she wasn't my routine doctor... it just so happened that she was the on-call doctor the night I went into labor. That experience alone made such a lasting impression on me that I knew I had to switch to her practice for my second pregnancy (2026) and I'm so glad I did! From the very beginning of this second journey, she has shown an unmatched level of dedication, compassion, and expertise. What truly sets Dr. Howe apart is how deeply she cares about her patients. She is exceptionally knowledgeable and always took the time to answer my questions thoroughly, making sure I felt informed and confident every step of the way. During my second pregnancy, which was unfortunately high-risk, her calm, skilled approach helped guide me through what could have been an overwhelming experience. I've had issues with insurance billing, wait times, etc. I came in for a visit following what was believed to be a ruptured ovarian cyst after my first ever visit to the Emergency Room. I walked in to the ultrasound with Katie to be greeted with "are we here for pregnancy?" - there was no viewing of my chart to even see what I was in office for the day prior nor to mention if I was struggling with fertility issues. Notes from my visit the day prior were not complete. A full ultrasound was done and I was left covered in gel on the table with no napkins or ways to clean myself off after she was finished. Comments were made by the nurse on my first visit, after losing 13 pounds (I was barely 135 and 5'8") and now am down to 122 pounds due to a severe trauma. For a women's clinic, the lack of sensitivity to very triggering topics was incredibly disappointing. I could hear the PA & ultrasound tech discussing my health and findings in the hallway loud enough for the remainder of the office to hear, including about how I voiced my concerns over Katie's bedside manner. I have a follow up appointment scheduled but after that, I won't be returning. Such a shame. I love Dr. Howe but the remainder of my experience has tainted my desire to return or recommend this office any further.
