Restoration Healthcare has experienced some difficulties with reimbursement from insurance companies. They sent multiple letters in December notifying patients of the changes, so i'm not sure why reviews say otherwise. I have just seen Dr Raleigh as did my husband and as usual her patient care was exceptional, thoughtful and kind. Taking the time to explain blood results and what to do to improve them. I had an appointment scheduled with Dr. Tamara and received no advance notice that it was canceled. After texting and calling multiple times, I finally received this message via text: "We apologize but all dates have been cancelled at this point due to very poor insurance reimbursements. We are so sorry. I do not have further information at this time." That was it. No phone call. No formal notice. No explanation of whether this is temporary or permanent. No information about prescriptions, lab results, or continuity of care. This level of communication is completely unacceptable for a medical practice. Patients are left in the dark about medications and test results, which is not just inconvenient - it's potentially dangerous. If a practice is closing or canceling care, there is an ethical responsibility to clearly inform patients and provide a transition plan. The vague explanation blaming "poor insurance reimbursements" while offering no plan for patient care makes it feel like financial concerns were prioritized over patient safety and basic professionalism. Between the lack of response to phone, email, and portal messages for over four weeks, the same-day notice of a CASH ONLY change, incorrect appointment information, and now learning that my doctor has left, this represents a serious breakdown in patient communication and most important, continuity of care. Please provide immediate confirmation of: 1) the date Dr. Faraj left the practice, 2) how patients are being notified and transitioned. 3) how to obtain medical records and ongoing care without interruption. 4) clear explanation of changes within the practice that affect patients in any way. I had my initial consultation w/ Dr. Faraj, it went well, gave me hope to fix chronic gut health issues. Sent me off to get some labwork done to get things started. I waited a nearly 2 months for my follow up appointment, then in the evening on Dec 24th I get a poorly worded vague email from Dr. Raleigh about firing her staff, and my appointment is cancelled effective immediately. The unprofessionalism... but wait, it gets even worse. My follow up was supposed to be on 1/9. On 1/7 I get a text asking me to confirm if I'd like to reschedule my appointment, but now with Dr Raleigh for $450.00 for "30 minutes". I've worked with top specialists in the country that do cash appointments, I have a concierge doctor as well... and no one in their right mind would think to charge $450.00 for a "30 minute" appointment. Especially to establish themselves with a new patient dealing with complex health issues. This place is a joke, and Dr. Raleigh has ruined her name. I have been a patient at Restoration Healthcare for about four years, Dr. Faraj has been wonderful - he listens carefully and has a warm personal demeanor. He guided me through mold toxicity which took almost a year of treatment/testing. Thank you, Dr. Faraj. The practice itself seemed to function well for the first couple of years. They had supplements there, and phlebotomy services, and the portal worked well. Then things began to change. Supplements went away, phlebotomy went away, the portal stopped working. During that time they opened, then closed, a Los Angeles location. At my last visit with Dr. Faraj he wrote an order for bloodwork to go over at our next visit scheduled for March. On December 26 I received an email from RH saying the doctors were no longer there. It included some information about where to contact some of the doctors. When I called the number for Dr. Faraj I was told his employment there was "on hold." Last week I got a call from the Lam Clinic saying Dr. Faraj was there and could be seen for $600 for a first visit and $400 for follow-up visits. I recently noticed that I have no refills left on a medication I take every day. I've called Restoration Healthcare three times, asking for a callback. At no time did a human come to the phone. Not sure what to do now but am sure RH has deep-sixed their patients. With zero notice. I want to emphasize that this review has only to do with the staggering lack of compassion/organization in the abrupt cancellation of any future care by RH. I have been a patient since 2017 and dealing with this office has now become a terrible experience. Doctor Raleigh chose Christmas Eve as the time to let patients know their doctors were no longer employed there. Since that announcement, speaking to anyone in the office about billing has been impossible. The office does not allow voice messages and there have been no replies to my emailed messages. Dr. Raleigh went to a full price, no insurance policy and notified patients December 24, 2025, and yet I am being expected to pay full price for an appointment 23 days prior to the notice. I am receiving billing notices in the mail that the account is in collections despite the fact that I paid my coinsurance and have made 5 email attempts and 4 phone calls trying to discuss the bill. My doctor was in network and with my insurance at the date of the appointment and policy change was 23 days later so I should not be receiving a full price bill. There is no way to leave a voice message at the office and no one answers the phone at the billing phone number listed on statements. Voice messages left at the billing phone number go unreturned. This is an unnecessary added stress for patients and is unconscionable. read more

I would not be here if it wasn't for Dr Raleigh at Restoration Healthcare. She treated me and my children. I have never seen a physician Who is more devoted to their patients than her. She was able to get treatments covered by insurance for Lyme disease patients and fiercely advocated for us. Yes my review is long, but I really hope it answers questions to anyone desperate for health help. I can't emphasize enough how much I recommend Restoration Healthcare! I started going in February of 2023 and my life has changed so much praise God! When I first came in, I could barely walk. I had to hold on to someone or I would lose balance plus I was so weak, I needed that support to lean on whenever I walked. When I sat I had to lean my head back on the wall to support me up. It felt best just to lay down as much as possible, it was hard to explain. It was really torture! I felt this crawling sensation all over like every single nerve in my body was malfunctioning constantly and I felt like I couldn't think like myself, my thoughts and words were so slow and I could not comprehend complete sentences. I could go on and on about my symptoms and sufferings... I had been going to so many different types of doctors for over 15 years and no Dr could ever explain to me why I had my symptoms (Even other natural doctors could not answer all my symptom questions). I was always told I was just anxious and burnt out and prescribed tons of meds that made me worse... Until I came in for my first appointment with Dr Drannikov! He had answers to all my questions, to all my mysterious symptoms, he was encouraging, he did labs that Kaiser never would do for me and I finally got diagnosis after 15 years! My first appointment I was severely triggered when my doctor inappropriately disclosed she had a patient under their care who just took their life using Doctor assisted Death. After the last time I saw (only saw them 4 times) we got an email the place was shut down effective immediately on a Friday morning. Shady stuff. This review is not of the Doctors directly but rather their office staff. Our functional medicine clinic of 7 years stopped taking our insurance so I found this one online. After reading on their website and I quote "If you are unable to download &/or complete the New Patient Packet electronically...we can mail you one. Please call" so I called and requested the new patient paperwork be mailed to us as we don't currently have a computer that can download a 35 page document. (Yes, they want you to fill out 35 pages) The receptionist mailed us the paperwork. My husband and I took the time to thoroughly fill it out and attach the medical documents requested therein. My husband then drove 35 minutes to Irvine in order to hand deliver it and meet the staff. Upon arrival he was told by Gabi they do not accept literal paper and it must be filled out online. He explained it was mailed to us by their office. Gabi then chuckled and asked "don't you have access to technology?" Embarrassed and confused my husband left. Apparently Gabi doesn't have access to tact, compassion or a scanner and hasn't accessed her own clinic's website any time soon to see they are the ones who invite those of us "without technology" to call for paperwork. Needless to say we won't be applying at this clinic and our search for medical help will continue. Recommendations to staff: Inform yourselves of your online policy and update it to reflect your actual current policy so that you don't waste anyone else's time. If your clinic makes a mistake own up to it. And if you're going to work in healthcare, take the time to CARE for and help the people who walk in your door. Especially those who took the time to fill out your 35 page novel and endure SoCal traffic in hopes of getting medical help. You're dealing with people who are already suffering. If kindness, compassion & grace are no longer priorities to you, find a different career. UPDATE: Both Gabi & the clinic's owner, Sunny, responded with apologies and an offer to accept our paperwork. Their willingness to admit wrong and seek to make it right is refreshing and worth noting. However in our estimation what happened was a red flag that hurt the foundations of trust before we had time to establish it. After a massive amount of paperwork and tedious steps to proceed, I was "accepted" into the practice. Shocked to visit the office for the first time and see a weathered, out of date, cluttered medical office. I easily would've looked past that aspect had the doctor I'd been assigned to been anything above mediocre at best. After a few visits with Dr. Palladino, a smallish man with a creepy smile who doesn't explain anything, only prescribes and sends you packing, it became apparent I was driving 20 miles to be prescribed many pharmaceuticals that my regular doctor could prescribe. He ordered an epic amount of blood work, most wasn't covered by my PPO, and barely touched on the results. There were other tests too, like urinating into a container for 24 hours, then racing it to Hoag. Still not understanding what that was all about. Don't plan on completing it, especially without a clear understanding of why. I'd hoped for a holistic provider who could offer natural paths for my ailments, since that's what this place is supposedly known for. Palladino recommended I purchase many of their expensive supplements and of course do IV treatment, which I found to be utterly useless and a waste of time. I called and asked the office to switch me to another provider. Almost a month went by before I found time to call again. The curt office manager never offered an explanation for their unresponsiveness, but assured me I'd receive a call by the end of day. That was Thursday. Today is Saturday and I'm still waiting. Oh, strangely enough I've been hounded relentlessly by Restoration to pay a $20 co-pay that somehow I missed. Never a return call to discuss another provider but they are intent on collecting my measly $20. Restoration is a waste of time and money. The whole place feels like a scam. I sent in their copious questionnaire, then decided to check Yelp reviews. Too late. I wrote an email saying the reviews about their lack of transperancy over insurance matters was "concerning," and maybe I would reconsider. Instead of calling me to apologize and explain, this is the email reply I got back: "We are a specialist office and we do not provide primary care services. You are outside of our geographic area and we will not be able to move forward at this time. " No. 1, I did not ask for primary care services but specialty treatment; No. 2, I live in Southern California, which they claim on their website is the only area from which they are taking patients. If you look back at all of the reviews for this office, they are positive with regard to patient care, and abysmal with regard to insurance/billing matters. I am a well respected physician and a medical director of a cancer center in Orange County. I have not yet encountered an office as inept with regard to billing as Restoration Healthcare. I was under the care of Dr. Walid Faraj, whom I respect greatly, and had to stop coming to this office due to billing issues. The office claims to "work with you" with regard to billing plans, schedules and can even work out payment plans within your means. They did work out such a plan with me, however it was to no avail. In 2021, I changed employers and although my current employer also provided the same insurance (Anthem BC/BS PPO), it was a different product and hence the out of pocket responsibility was higher, along with the coinsurance. Up until mid 2022, I was receiving EOBs from my insurance company stating they are working with Restoration Healthcare on obtaining more information so that services (especially IV's) can be covered. In the meantime, I continued to receive treatment. There was zero transparency from RH. Good billing departments reach out to their patients and provide what is called "financial informed consent". They let you know that your insurance company is giving push back and you may be stuck with a large bill. Finally, I received my first bill in July 2022 which was over $1,000. I was shocked. I had worked out a plan to pay a monthly maximum, however these bills were from 2021 still. RH and the insurance company were going back and forth for nearly 1 YEAR and eventually the insurance company did not receive the justification they needed to cover services and I was stuck with the bill. And this happened over...and over... and over again. Restoration Healthcare knew how much services were costing, but they weren't telling me, nor were these costs being reported in real time in their patient billing dashboard. The bills were posting in large sums since they comprised several services that were denied. Again, a good billing department should understand good billing ethics and "financial informed consent". They do not understand this. I reached out to my insurance company today and they told me that it would take them between 6 weeks and 3 months to hear back from RH with additional information. Moreover, they told me that they continued to seek reimbursement for the same services that were denied time and time again expecting a different outcome. And who is stuck paying for this? The patient. Apparently, RH billing told me I still have 3 services from 2021 that haven't been resolved yet and then 18 additional in 2022. My total responsibility will likely be over $3,000. Do yourself a huge favor, ask for transparency and ask for it IMMEDIATELY. All it means when they say they "take" your insurance, is that they can ask your insurance for reimbursement and they are contracted with them as a practice. It does not mean they will 1) responsibly communicate with you in a timely fashion regarding your ongoing financial responsibilities and status of your claims and 2) submit additional evidence or information to your insurance company to ensure as much of their services are reimbursed by insurance as possible (rather than the patient). Another big issue is the price they put on these services (such as IV's). Remember that if you have a coinsurance of 30%, that's 30% of whatever price RH is setting. And sometimes more if the insurance company does not reimburse them the other 70%. My understanding is that each IV (even the least expensive IV) is nearly $500 and upwards of $900. As an MD/MBA, this makes sense from a business finance standpoint, but you are really disenfranchising your patients, especially if you're not communicating with them regarding the status of their claims. At this point, I do not feel continuing a relationship with Restoration Healthcare as a patient is worth the expense. I have sent many patients to them for care, but will think twice simply due to the ineptitude and lack of attentiveness demonstrated by the billing department. read more

What can I say about these amazing doctors? This practice literally saved my life. After 6 months of having a chronic horrible mysterious illness, Dr Raleigh discovered through proper testing, that I had been exposed to toxic mold in my home. I had been to 20 other western docs who could not help me and who continually misdiagnosed me. She put me on the right track immediately, and I got my life back with proper treatment. I was very sad by the service here. First of all walking in the office everything is dark. The front staff is not helpful and Dr. Paladins did not help me with my health concern. Basically you have to read messages and no one wants to call and help you through your portal. I can I'm with Hashimotos and although Dr. Palladino is very patient and kind and explains everything wrong with everything he did not take care of my Thyroid. This was the issue at hand. He told me cut out gluten but did not even address the medication and my thyroid was higher than before. I mean I was excited they were such great doctors. When I called I had to talk to his assistant and he did nothing and said make an appointment to get more blood tests. So sick of taking blood test. read more

TLDR: Restoration Healthcare's billing dept. is a mess and they will enter the wrong codes and bill your visits out of network and put it on you to fix it with your insurance. They will send you collection email threats and then tell you to ignore it while they are "working on it". Restoration healthcare convinced me to get their IV infusion treatment and told me the cost would be fully covered by my insurance. I received a bill for $811.73 for the treatment. I knew this was incorrect so I reached out to restoration healthcare's billing department. They told me that they accidentally processed my claim as "out of network" and asked if I can reach out to my insurance to get it reprocessed as an in network provider. So I contacted my insurance and they said that Restoration Healthcare put in all of the wrong codes and billed it as "chiropractic care". My insurance rep contacted Restoration Healthcare and worked on re-processing the bill. Well, I just got the new bill and they are still charging me for practically the full amount. I've spoken to Valerie, Ashley and now Andrea, and they all told me to ignore the threatening collection emails since this is a Blue Shield Error. Mind you, this is from a bill from one year ago and they have been giving me the run around for almost a year now!! So they are either not dealing with it, or they have no idea how to handle this bill. I'm making a review in hopes someone at Restoration Healthcare can take this claim seriously because it almost feels like a joke at this point. read more

Amazing & authentic, acupuncture. I moved to OC in 2020 and have been shocked by the fast pace (& fast charge) Acupuncture approach which exists here. Forget Zen - to get the 60 min session I've been experiencing for decades requires paying for 3 sessions - with 2 interruptions to remove & replace the minimal 3 needles every 15 mins. I thought this was one off but no I've experienced a version of this at 3 separate locations. In case you're wondering only one of these took Insurance so they can't blame it on that. I've been under the care of Dr. Raleigh for three years and have gone from bed-bound and a wheelchair to healthy and well. I'm working and taking care of kids and living life. I am still a work in progress as found a few things that needed work, but I generally feel great. I never thought I'd recover, so it was no easy feat. I am not & have not been a patient here - I have been struggling with lyme & parasites for 10 years - after 10 years of being run through the wringer & dr's who either don't know or are just willing to tell you anything you want to hear if their still cashing your checks, I have seen & heard it all. 99 % of the clinics are poorly run scam clinics, but like I said I am not a patient, I just called & when they cannot answer direct questions & are illusive in answering them or use semantics/word play it's a gigantic red flag in my experience - None of these places seem to take into account the fragile state of someone's breaking point, seems like they're more than willing to pile on when a patient might be near the point of giving up or breaking emotionally. People can only take being ripped off or lied so many times before they break...afterall it's their health not a mechanic on your car. Lame read more

Incredibly thorough. Dr. Raleigh asked a ton of questions including some about my genetics. Because I've lived with multiple chronic illnesses I was born with and went undiagnosed until five years ago I'm a complicated case. I love that they take my insurance which saves me a lot of money as most of my doctors have been out of network. The staff is friendly and efficient. I look forward to a long relationship with the practice and getting my health back. Even better is that they'll be opening another location in Los Angeles this fall which is where I am. read more
