Some old magazines and a tv, seating for 8 in the waiting room. I prefer her office in Natick, Complete Pain Care, as its a bit more updated than Marlborough (I scheduled Marlborough out of convenience). The shots I get in my lumbar area from Dr. Pearl are relatively painless...a testament to her experience. On my last visit, I noticed a sign that said they take Discover, MC, Visa and AMEX. I gave the receptionist my AMEX and was told that they don't take it. I pointed to the sign and she apologized and said she was aware of it. I didn't want to point out that maybe they should take it down.

It was easy to schedule an appointment with flexible hours (very convenient for those who are working). Dr Krupa prescribed a treatment plan along with massage therapy. I felt relief right after the first session. I continued with the treatment plan for a few months and now can proudly say that my back is "fixed". I am pain free. I was in serious pain and was seen on the same day I made the call, that in itself is amazing. Upon arrival, the staff was professional and very concerned about my condition. They listened closely as I described my ailment and told me everything that they were doing. When Dr. Blake came in I was very nervous and she recognized my heighten state. She took her time examining me and throughout the process she remained very calm and explained what she was doing. She gave me her diagnosis along with a follow-up treatment plan. The staff then proceeded to take care of all the follow-up appointments needed, from booking my MRI to calling my PCP to get prior approval. That has never happened to me with any other Doctor's office. Usually I'm the one making all the calls. I wish I could give Boston Pain Specialist a perfect 10 but 5 is the highest on Yelp. I totally recommend them if you are looking for caring and professional people.

She barely let me say my name, when she demanded to know why I wanted to see them. She let me know, they no longer are a "full service" pain clinic. They do not do anything but injections. When I tried to inquire more, she already decided I was not a correct fit and told me to look elsewhere. I tried to even ask where they'd recommend I look. (Surely before they stopped all their treatment plans, they sent their patients somewhere?) Nope, nothing. Then hung up. So unless you just need a steroid injection and willing to wait a long time, check out somewhere else.

I've met with this Dr a few times this year. For my next to last appt, I had to wait 45 minutes…read more(after my scheduled appointment time), because she arrived late to the office. There was no apology. Also, no one in the office let me know what was going on. So I had to wait in a small exam room until she finally arrived. Then for my last appointment, after waiting 15 -20 minutes, I asked the staff if the Dr was in the office. They informed she had not arrived yet. So I told them I was not going to wait like I did last time......and I left. Needless to say I'm going to see another Dr..... P.S. It was funny that there is a big notice on the receptionist wall saying there will be a $50 charge if you don't show up for an appointment without at least a 48-hour notice. This is hilarious.
