Sigh... oh boy... so much has changed *sad face* I remember back when I first stumbled upon a threading place in Brighton. It was the summer of 2014. I had only been getting threading on my upper lips. A super sweet, amicable, and soft-spoken lady suggested I get my eye brows threaded. Let me tell you something, I've NEVER ever done anything to my eyebrows--no waxing, shaving, or make up on my brows. I've been told multiple times that I've been gifted with just the right amount of brow hair (say what), so I suppose I'm even more cautious. Anyhow, the woman was gentle and convincing enough for me to take a leap of faith. That's how I fell in love with Ranju. Seriously. She's the only person that makes threading absolutely painless. I have very sensitive Asian skin, and most people tend to make my skin extremely red and itchy after threading, but not ranju! Back to the real deal... so... I hadn't seen Ranju in over two years as I have moved to NYC. During my visit to Boston, I was shocked (and confused) that there were multiple Boston threading locations. When I called I found out that Ranju wasn't working in any of the locations on Monday. Anyhow, that being my last night in Boston, I figured I shouldn't be so picky--after all, they're all coworkers of Ranju's (I'm not sure if Ranju is the owner?) Either way, big mistake. Like an earlier reviewer mentioned, I had nicks on my eyebrow. I thought I was being overly sensitive during the procedure, but it stung nonstop, and it still hurts two days later. And guess what, started bleeding! Besides the fact that the brows were done much thinner than I had wanted to, I am not happy that she left a mark on my face. I'm not so sure if I'll be returning even when I'm in Boston as I'm not even sure how often Ranju works anymore...

I normally rock my eyebrows a little more bushy so maybe I should speak out about not trimming.

I messaged on the app to get an appt. and the page owner replied to me within the hour. Turned out I wanted to be serviced by her so she let me know when she would be in the downtown location. I went and waited as she had other people specifically waiting for her. She has an eye for shape. My eyebrows look nice. She was quick, pleasant and precise. I go get my eyebrows done once a quarter or so just to upkeep and was fairly satisfied with my visit here. Unfortunately I think they are a bit too thin for me. I'm not used to seeing my eyebrows so "cleaned" up so there's a little shock factor. Still searching for my eyebrow guru. I filled my eyebrows a bit to show you how good the shape came out. All other customers seem to leave happy and I noticed that there were a couple regulars so I would definitely recommend.

I am very picky with my eyebrows to the point where I do them myself with tweezers. After coming here a few times I completely trust the staff here with my eyebrows. They really take the time to get the shape just right and they are gentle. I have been to other places that charge TWICE what I pay here and don't do as good of a job. read more

The women here are extremely nice and professional. Well priced for Boston, cheaper and just as good if not better quality than most other places I've gone since moving from the Bay Area. You can check in for $3 discount, and they even give a stamp card. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

Love this place! I went to Akriti and she did my eyebrows and she is AMAZING! I tried to do my brows myself and BIG FAIL. She did great with what she had and made sure to give me tips on how to make the most of my brows! The shop is clean and neat so you know that you're at a sanitary establishment. I did both my eyebrows and my upper lip and they used separate threads for both which I thought was really great! Akriti made sure to ask me if I was ok (pain-wise) throughout the session which made me feel good. Definitely would recommend! read more

This place has really gone downhill since it first open. The service is completely hit or miss. Even Akriti (who I use to swear by) has left me disappointed and unhappy during my last visit when I left with shapeless and sparse eyebrows. I even asked "Not too thin, please!" I came here because of the Yelp reviews and I read and I was so impressed. When I walked in I was nervous because there were a lot of people waiting but the woman threading was efficient and the line moved quickly. She mentioned that there are usually two people working but one called out. She handled the stress so well and although she was moving the line along quickly I felt like when it was my turn she was completely focused on me. I LOVE how my brows came out- this is definitely my new place! read more

Today I went to Boston Threading for the first time and absolutely loved it. This has to be one of the best threading experiences I have ever had! Akriti threaded my eyebrows beautifully and gave them the arch I asked for. She was very kind and gave me a tip on how to grow out my brows even more (apply castor oil!) Since their downtown location is so close to where I work, I will definitely keep on coming here. read more

I was hesitant to try out this place because of mixed reviews -- more specifically because Ranju was out of town and she seems to be everyone's favorite. I called this morning to see if either Lakshmi or Kamal would be there this afternoon and headed on over. I actually ended up working with Aishwarya, who did someone else's eyebrows right before me -- they were on point. I knew I was in good hands. My brows are the best they've been since I got them done my very first time! She only works on Fridays at this location, however, so plan in advance. I'll definitely return for my regular eyebrow fix. read more

I've been here twice in the past two months and it is now my favorite place to go. Ranju is so nice and very good at her job. She threaded my eyebrows beautifully and she was fast. We were done in less than ten minutes and we were talking the whole time. The place is on the second floor of an office building but don't hesitate because it is worth it! read more

Akriti is so sweet and was able to tame my crazy eyebrows. She's also helping me grow it back and really knows and loves what she does. And it's inside the Jewelers building on the 2nd floor. When you get off the elevators turn left then right. It'll be on the right side! read more

They work miracles here. I regret not taking before and after photos because of how dramatically different I looked after I left. If you've been cursed with bushy caterpillar eyebrows like me definitely come by and have the ladies here work their magic. It was quick, painless, and she explained everything to me as she was going along and before I knew it, we were finished. I can't recommend this place enough! read more

My brows were threaded and cut (with cute mini scissors) diligently, quickly, and at a fair price for Boston and other big cities. The place is clean, the woman was kind and apologetic after I waited a few minutes for her to get back from lunch break. But everyone deserves a lunch break, so I had no complaints. She also shaped my brows for free, for which some places charge. read more

I'm 100% sold on threading thanks to Boston Threading! Clean space, friendly and super skilled staff, and I've never waited more than 5-10 minutes (usually less) when walking in. My brows come out perfect and full, with great shape every time. No red forehead, no sticky spots left behind, and no breakouts as I usually experience after a wax. My threader (not sure what you'd call them) always leaves me with a few tips on how to keep my shape and fullness between visits. I usually come in when I have a groupon, but it's worth a visit even without one. read more

It was a little bit painful and my eyes watered like crazy; however my eyebrows look amazing and I'll definitely do it again. They give you one free after nine appointments. read more

I love Boston Threading. I see Ranju and she is AMAZINGGGG. I started seeing her about a year and a half ago and I have been loyal ever since. When I first started seeing her my brows were in rough shape. She was so sweet and so patient. I told her my goal was to have nice, fuller, shaped brows and she has done that. I leave happy every time. An added bonus is the stamp card. (one free threading after 10 visits). read more

I've been here a couple of times now, but the penultimate time I went, I used one of the Yelp offers. The woman who threaded my eyebrows checked me out, and seemed a little unsure of how to process the coupon--no problem, I didn't mind that. I asked whether I should click on the coupon, and she said yes, so I clicked on the coupon and, after a few seconds, it vanished. The woman checking me out called the attention of another woman there, and told her I was trying to use the Yelp offer. The second woman asked to see my phone. She then harshly reprimanded me for not showing the coupon before it vanished, but I had. And I told her I did--the first woman had seen it. I was able to get the Yelp offer, but I really didn't feel good leaving the store. She didn't even apologize for blaming me for something that hadn't happened. I went back once after that but I don't think I'll be back again. The same woman who spoke harshly to me was there, and she was so nice to other customers, but barely acknowledged I was there. In terms of actual technical service: they do eyebrows well/a little pricey but well. read more

This is a very clean place and their service was very fast. I have very sensitive skin and easily break out, but their threading didn't cause any breakouts, which was great. The issue was, I asked not to thin my eyebrows at all and just to clean them up, but my eyebrows got much thinner than I wanted to. read more

I moved to Brighton from Providence a few months ago and had to find a new threading place...lucky for me, it turned out that the best-rated place in Boston was just up the street from me. I gave it a try, and my brows came out looking amazing. Ranju is fast, thorough, and so nice! She will shape you to perfection. Ranju recently opened this new location in Downtown Crossing (2nd floor of the Jewelers Building) and it is super convenient to get to from work...even if it wasn't, I wouldn't let anyone else touch my brows here. read more

Aakriti is AMAZING and so so friendly. I actually visited the new Back Bay location that just opened on Newbury and sister hooked it up. So happy with the results! I decided to give them another chance and it is even worse than the first time. Multiple nails aren't glued down properly. On the sides my real nail is exposed. The bottom of the nails weren't blended at all so that's why they look lifted at the base. Just overall poor work. No attention to detail whatsoever and sloppy work. I will not be returning. Overpriced tacky nails

I have absolutely loved getting my laser treatments here! Right from the start Lana made me feel…read morecomfortable and happy with my results, as during my consult she did a spot test on my leg. It didn't hurt a bit, and that's coming from someone who stopped laser treatments in the past because the pain was unbearable and the numbing cream was very expensive. Lana gives me some of the numbing cream (free of charge) for my sensitive areas before we start and by the time we get to those places I seriously don't feel a thing. Besides the great customer service, this one small detail has really sealed the deal for me. Throw in the fact that my 5 treatment ares only take about 45 mins, and you can see why I've told all of my friends about this place multiple times over. I just finished my third treatment and I'm so happy with my results. Some follicles are more stubborn than others, but overall I essentially go the entire time without shaving between treatments since my hair comes in slowly, light, and fine. I highly recommend seeing Lana for your laser procedures and investing in yourself this way! It's expensive, but worth it!

I had an unpleasant experience with this business. They attempted to move the appointment to a time…read morethat was more convenient for them and when I was not available. I told them to cancel and I would reschedule based on my availability. I then 24 hours later receive an email with confirmation with the original time, instead of the cancellation. By that time, I had made alternative plans but because this was 24 hours before the actual appointment a $75 charge was required to cancel. When I arrived, the technician was forceful and slimey with her business dealings. When I told her this was maintenance for previous treatment performed prior to moving to Boston, she proceeded to insult an entire city of people as though they were low class. They verbally quoted one price and wrote a different price in contract. When I corrected them, it was given a rebuttal and then ultimately changed again when I declined the service. This lets me know they make up pricing on the fly and based on who is in front of them. One service I wanted to save for another day, but she insisted on performing the day of consultation (to get the money) even though I did not have time. She then made up another day for me to come back and told the scheduler to schedule me at that time, even though I did not request that time. I think they have unethical practices and I will not be returning. I will fly back to my original dermatologist and aesthetician for better service.

If I could give this place ZERO starts I would. It's conveniently located, but the experience is totally not worth it unless you want THIN, MESSED UP looking brows. I've been there a few times and Every. Single. Time. they have butchered my brows. All the good threaders have left and Ranju (the owner) doesn't even take customers anymore. On my last visit she just sat on her phone and let the other women butcher everyone's brows. Boston Threading needs to focus on RETAINING the good threaders and TRAINING new threaders. Otherwise, I would avoid this spot at all costs and take your hard earned $$ and precious brows some place else! read more

Came here on a Tuesday evening around 6 and Sanya did my eyebrows and what an amazing job she did. I have gotten my eyebrows threaded in different salons, and not only she was fast, she gave my eyebrows the perfect shape without making them thin which has been a huge problem for me in the past at other threading salons. The wait was only about 10 minutes. She was quick and did a great job on my eyebrows. I'll definitely be back!! read more

Best brow place in Boston! Clean facilities and very fast. It's on the second floor of a building full of diamond shops, so don't be confused when you only see jewelry shops! It's tucked away! read more
