Ask for Ranju! She is the owner and is amazing. Unfortunately, only once one of the other girls threaded my eyebrows and it was noticeably thin and uneven. Ever since I stuck with Ranju but I'm sure the other girls are just as great and that one time was an anomaly. Ranju remembers everything about each of her clients and asks questions about how so and so is going. She is a genuinely, sweet, down to earth person. She works Thursday's and Friday's at the downtown location and Tuesday's and Sunday's at the Brighton location. The downtown location is in the diamond location. Basically look for the gold clock outside. I go straight through the double doors, past security, up one flight of stairs, go all the way down to the right and on the left hand side is her store. I was told only thread the hair you want to grow back because you're essentially cutting it. So I don't think you should thread your upper lip, chin, etc. that should be waxed since your pulling up the root. I just thread my eyebrows here and they've never been more even and full; and I'm OCD and very particular. I come here every two weeks, I pay $15 and always tip $5 because I'm supporting a female entrepreneur that is lovely. read more

I can't believe I haven't heard about this place until now! Stopped by Boston Threading for the first time ever this afternoon. The woman who threaded my brows was fast and gentle, and my brows look great. I was in and out in under 15 minutes, even without an appointment during my lunch break. The cost was $15 (they do have a Yelp deal for $12 if you want to buy that) and you are able to leave a tip on your credit card. I will definitely be coming back to Boston Threading. read more

Brows. Let's talk about brows. I recently moved back to Boston and was in a bit of a panic not having a go-to place to take care of those pesky suckers. I ended up going to a place in Brookline (European Wax Center) because they were open on Sunday and was super unhappy with the experience (and the four weeks after of uneven brows with an unusually large gap between the two #muchfail). So, as you can imagine I was a little terrified finding another place, but did my research and found this gem of a studio near my office. The staff were helpful, incredibly quick, and most importantly, they made my brow game (as the kids say these days) "on fleek" - I was really impressed with how well they were able to shape my brows in just one visit (especially after my disastrous waxing experience just a few weeks earlier). The service was really excellent here. I came in and already the lady was asking how I was doing. She made lots a conversation with me which made me felt great because I was having a bad day. Great threading place. I got the groupon and came here. I think the girl's name was Akriti? I know the reviews rave about the owner, but Akriti was also wonderful. She first asked me what I wanted, listened, did one eyebrow, stopped and asked for feedback before moving onto the other eyebrow. This was a fantastic experience! Most of my experience in the past consist of them starting to do your eyebrows immediately and before you know it, too much hair is gone, your brows are thin, and there's no turning back. So I truly appreciate someone who actually gives you a chance to explain, and then actually follows through with great threading! read more

I've been going here the last couple of years and would recommend Akriti. I've had my eyebrows threaded by another technician here, but Akriti is my favorite because she takes her time. My brows did once end up a tad too thin for my liking (when I saw another technician), but I've been pretty satisfied every time Akriti did them. The girls are all pretty friendly and offer aloe for those with sensitive skin. I was at first taken back by the prices as I'm used to paying about $8 in Los Angeles but it seems most places in Boston charge $12+. No appointment is needed and I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes to be seen. read more

I'm not a girl who regularly gets her eyebrows waxed, but thanks to this salon I will become a girl who regularly gets her eyebrows threaded! I can't remember the wicked friendly, and professional eyebrow goddess who performed her magic on my face (will update with name at some point), but considering it was my first time, she made me feel comfortable. At first, threading can be painful. She was very patient when my eyes started tearing, and I needed to take a break from getting my upper lip threaded. She casually started conversation with me, and it felt very natural. After she was finished, I looked in the mirror and almost cried due to how amazing, and beautiful my eyebrows were shaped. I have thick brows, and waxing rarely ever gives me a nice shape while keeping my thickness. Threading has made my brows look clean, but you can also see my brow thickness! When I went to cash out she gave me a card, and stamped it. I believe if you come 5 times, you get the 6th one free or something! I've given up on this place. I've been going for two years. Glad they have expanded but the service is not the same. It's too expensive to have them mess up my eyebrows. At first my eyebrows look ok, a couple days later you can see mistakes. My eyebrow ends have been thinned out. Ranju or the owner needs training classes for the new people. Also the customer service is downhill!!! There were a couple people who I liked and did a great job. However they shift locations and if you ask the other threaders they respond with an attitude . Went on a whim because I saw a groupon for $7 threading. I'm not a big fan of waxing my brows and would prefer threading anyways. I normally avoid getting my eyebrows done because it's usually painful and the shape of my brows don't come out nice. Let's say my experience was quick, painless and my brows looked so good! This was my first threading experience. It was the week before my wedding and I needed serious help with my brows and peach fuzz on my face. I was going to be in Boston for a weekend trip and this was the only time I was going to have. After looking up several places I could visit I decided to come here based on the reviews. I use to go to Gretta Cole in Back Bay and see Mary to get my brows done, which she was phenomenal, but she left! So I let my brows grow out till I couldn't handle them anymore and find another trust worthy place. Finally after about a year I decided it was time to get them done and I found Boston Threading here on yelp. I've never tried threading but this place had all great reviews so I gave it a try. Walked in on a Tuesday at 11:30, no wait. Sangya did my brows and she did an AMAZING job! I was so surprised because I am super anal and picky with my brows. I told her I want my brows kept thick, to clean them up and carve my arch and wow she nailed it-almost like how my former brow technichian did them. They look great and natural, not cookie cutter shaped, actually shaped to fit my face. And for $12- you can't go wrong here. The shop is small (2 chairs) super clean and lots of natural light. Going at an off time I'd assume is your best bet to get in and out quick. It probably took 15 mins to do mine (and my brows needed a lot of love). Sangya only works on Tuesdays. My coworker also got hers done with me and she will be our go to girl and I'll be sticking to threading vs. waxing for a while. What a hidden gem. read more

I found my new eyebrow place! You get to the location by going into the doors of 333 Washington street. This place is seriously tiny, but it's very clean and decorated well. There was just one woman who was doing eyebrows and a guy running the register. The woman who did my brows was so friendly and knew exactly what to do to clean them up. She also made suggestions on how to care for them better going forward. The whole process was quick and easy. I am thrilled with how my brows look and will be going back many many times. I went for the first time last night after months of seeing this place out the window of BSC at downtown crossing and I really love what Akriti did with my eyebrows. She was very quick, which was great because I have sensitive skin, so the pain was relatively minimal. She shaped them to look very natural and clean. I'm a victim of the late 90's over tweezing skinny eyebrow trend, so I have a bald spot on my right brow, but you can't even tell it's there right now. I love getting my eyebrows threaded versus waxing or tweezing, but I'm super lazy about upkeep. However, the ladies here are so nice and skilled that I feel like this is a quick and easy habit to stay regular with. Definitely recommend this over nearby grooming locations like the brow bar in Macy's. So glad I found this! read more
