Update: I've been in contact with Joe from Boston Transmission to rectify the problem part. Joe was able to work with me and handled the situation in an incredibly professional manner. Joe took accountability and responsibility even though he may not have been the mechanic working on my axles and air lockers the first time. Despite other reviewers leaving offensive and disparaging comments attacking a person, Joe is an absolute professional, and knows how to work with people to ensure their needs are met. Clear communication and objectivity is key. He values his customers and honors their requests. That's how you keep customers happy and returning for more.

Brought my 1963 impala here. Bought a classic car to enjoy for a bit then flip, noticed the transmission was a little funny, had a leak, and the clutch was rough, brought it here after reading the reviews. Reasonable priced, quality work, Joe is the man and is team is phenomenal. I walked away well under budget. Cars transmission is as smooth as butter now. 327 4speed manual. They earned a customer for a lifetime see you on the next one!

Result: total recommend this service. Story: My car was noisy inside and outside, I'd checked couple services with good rating and they told me I need to rework fully my transmission, I decided to continue searching after moment of sadness) Then, I decided to check one more service from yelp searching and found Boston transmission. When I came with the transmission questions , Joe met me and after driving he told me that everything okey with it. After they lift my car up and saw problems with engine mounts. They ordered parts for one day, on second they switched it and on third I'm already driving brand new car. Thanks Joe and his crew for humility. You are awesome. Good luck.

I can guarantee you won't find a better shop or shop owner than Joe and his guys!! If you own a Chevy truck you know they love to blow out transmissions and transmission parts like your stomach after eating Asada fries with guac, extra sour cream, and extra cheese! I've owned numerous Tahoe's and all end up having transmission work; maybe it says something about the way I drive. Non the less Joe is the man! He explained everything in complete detail, and gave me three options of repair and service. Even his third and lowest priced repair option is 100x better than any other shops best work. His shop is super clean, and well organized. He saves the damaged parts and explains what went wrong, and backs his work with a warranty most shops can't match. Hands down I'll be coming here anytime I need transmission work which I hope isn't anytime soon though, lol. He's honest, upfront, and goes above and beyond. Hell he even replaced my rear main seal and seal plate for no extra charge since they already had the tranny down. Just save yourself time, worry and all that other BS that comes with searching for a transmission shop. Just call Joe Bro! I'm a trademark that little phrase, lol

So I got a quote from this place and was doing everything via text. Let me tell you guys about the…read moresmooth experience I have and how attentive their employees were. I believe his name was Lozano( sorry if I got it wrong) and Anthony. They fixed my car no issues and had it up and running in no time. They were very professional and even washed by vehicle prior to me picking it up. I highly recommend them and they are extremely affordable. Don't hesitate to give them your vehicle. Best part. No check engine light lol. The warranty they offered is just a plus!

I've waited a long time to write this review just to be sure that I actually know what I'm talking…read moreabout. My car had a check engine light for a bad sensor. I replaced it and it persisted so I bring it here. They took a look at it and let me know my car needed a valve cover replacement, new spark plugs, and to replace the sensor I had just replaced. There might have been more but this was almost a year ago so I don't exactly remember everything we did. Fine, I trust them because this place has been highly reviewed and it seemed very professional. So I spent about $1500 on repairs. Maybe a week later the same code comes on so I'm confused. I take it back to them and it takes days for them to get to the car because their "diagnostic tech" is really busy. Fine. So they call me and tell me that the code I'm getting is because my timing chain is fucked and it's going to cost $4500 to fix it... Which I don't have. So I sit on it for a few days while I see if I can come up with the money or what I'm going to do, before they threaten to charge me a storage fee for having my car with them. Fine, I understand they don't have all the space in the world. So I get to the shop pay their $150 diagnostic fee and try to take the car. The battery is dead. They gave me a jump and I drove home but there was no check engine light. I found it weird and thought it was a fluke. Long story short I replaced the battery, battery cable, oil, alternator and the car is just fine. I've been driving it for almost 8 months. I put in maybe $500 in parts. While I am trying to figure out what the problem is I message them and ask if they charged the battery, or if the battery died on them at all. No answer despite multiple messages. And this is what bothers me you have no problem messaging me multiple times to threaten me with fees but can't respond to one simple message. My point is this shop is shady. They wanted to upsell me on expensive repairs I didn't need. Now I'm not even sure if I truly needed those $1500 in repairs the first time. How do I know it was an upsell? The guy who gave me my car back said, "we just go based on what the scanner says." And that's when I knew this shop sucked. Why would I be charged a ridiculous $150 fee for you to scan my car? Personally that doesn't seem like diagnostic work (at least a proper one). I feel like some of the things I discovered on my own an experienced mechanic would have found. The car had an electrical problem. In between those two visits I took another car to them to see if they could do a transmission drain and fill. I put that in the appointment request and I made the appointment days in advance. When I get there they say they can't work on the car because it has a lot of miles on it, which again is fine but why are you making me waste my time and bring my car to you if you aren't going to work on it. Do you not have someone who checks the following days' appointments? Why does your website allow me to make the appointment if it doesn't meet your shops criteria. All in all I say stay away and find a place with honest mechanics.
