This owner is an old lady and seemingly inexperienced in handling dogs and very unfriendly. I went to drop off my dogs this morning and she asked me three times if my aussie puppy bites after telling her no each of the three times, she asked if my maltipoo was going to be barking all day while in the kennel. They did not smile or greet me or my dogs and nor show no love towards them what so ever. The son hangs out there. He is rude and the place looks run down and is musty. Do not go there, I have been to much better groomers. I can imagine how they treat the dogs when I'm not there based on first impressions. read more

My dog used to stop dead in her tracks when going into the groomers but since we started going to Wendy she goes in much easier now. Wendy always works with my schedule to get my dog bathed and my dog comes home happy. We've been taking our dog Baxter here for years!!! We love Wendy. She is the sweetest lady, always grooms our dog exactly how we want him and always manages to squeeze us into an appointment spot even if it's last minute. We moved to Ramona about a year and a half ago and STILL take our dog to Wendy in El Cajon because she does such a good job! I also love how quick she is to groom him. Petco and other groomers make us leave our dog for HOURS and he ends up just sitting in a crate a majority of the time until they are ready for him and he has bad anxiety so we hate that. This was my first time coming to this place and also my first time getting my dog groomed by anyone else besides me. I was nervous as to how my dog was going to act with the groomers, cause she can be a bit shy and skittish around new people and places. I just want to say how happy I was with the way this experience turned out! My dogs hair has never looked better or felt better and she smells great! Wendy, the owner, told me to take my Papillon to the vet for nail trim and then just hung up on me!!! She is so rude! I just moved to the area and told her that I need a new groomer in the area and have 3 dogs that need their nails trimmed. I told her their breeds and that the Papillon needs a muzzle. She asked me to bring my own but said she had a "small one" and we could "try". I asked if the size would work and that's when she got all weird and just put me off and hung up! Poodle grooming is part art, part science and part endurance. Wendy is amazing. I consistently bring my 2 poodles to her looking really sorry, and they leave looking like a million bucks. Is she the cheapest? Nope. Is she the MOST expensive - nope. She charges a fair price for wonderful work. She has the patience of a saint. She's great. Gave me the the run around on trying to schedule a visit. Repeatedly called back me to change times on pick up because she wanted to go home early. Then she called back again saying she didn't want to groom my dog. Terrible service rude wouldn't recommend this groomer. read more

I have taken my maltipoo to a number of groomers and they were either too expensive or just didn't do a good job. Wendy groomed her perfectly. It's one week later and my fur baby is still soft and fluffy. I will definitely be bringing my dog on a regular basis. The price is great too. read more

I have taken my new puppy Buster to her two times now. The first time he was all matted and messed up when I got him because I rescued him. Wendy was so great and nice and helpful with getting him back in good shape and evern giving me a few pointers to help me with my new puppy. The second time she remembered me and was jsut as sweet and great as the first time. I also spoke with her daughter who helps her. I took my dog here to get groomed. She is a Yorkie mix, so her hair cut requires a lot of time and attention! I walked in only knowing only what I had heard through word of mouth, and based off great recommendation brought my dog in for a 'full groom' appt. I was not only impressed for being treated with such professional charm while entering the building, but the cleanliness of the establishment and the friendliness of the staff was such a relief to see! My dog was done within and hour, i can honestly say it's the best hair cut she has ever had! Her groomer, named Taylor, had asked if I wanted any changes made before I took off. I don't understand the negative ratings. Wendy and her crew are great. I have taken 3 dogs (including a shih tzu) to her for about 12 years and have always been happy with the results. The dogs don't mind going to visit Wendy and that is a good thing! She has always been helpful on scheduling appts for my dogs. Wendy is a fantastic dog groomer. I have brought our Shorkie to several groomers and Wendy and her staff are the most skilled at what they do. Other groomers have missed sections of hair and cut unevenly. It is difficult to cut fine hair on a small dog! Wendy is definitely a step above all the others. I would encourage you to bring your dog to Wendy. Take a look at her wall when you walk in; you will see a picture of her beloved son who lost his life in Afghanistan. Her house was lost in a fire with all of her pictures as well. Wendy keeps persevering though. Those of you who took the time to write a poor review should have realized that perhaps you caught her on a 'hard day'. Perhaps she needed to go home early that day or needed to pass on a nail trim.
