I started using FURology 6 years when I moved to Santee. These groomers are terrific. I have 3 shelties with a lot of hair and I don't know what I would have done if we hadn't found Dominic! I'm a bit flabbergasted right now. I Just got off the phone with Lindsay regarding my anxious doodle. We've tried to make her comfortable at each visit. She was seriously hurt at another facility and is now fearful, as well as being a pandemic puppy. They knew this and I thought they were trying to help her. At least the staff seemed to want to help her. A friend recommended I try a male groomer. I asked if there is someone they could recommend in their shop and was told that I should take my dog somewhere else. That they no longer can provide grooming for her. I was shocked and explained, I was just trying to find the best fit for my dog, she said I had made accusations at the last visit that she wasn't comfortable with. When I asked what she was talking about she said I asked why my dog's eyes were red and could she have gotten soap in them...?Are you kidding me, asking a question like that is making an accusations...? If I were going to be upset about something, it would be the fact that they cut her tongue when they were clipping her face. It's really too bad because I thought this place was working with us and I had even recommended them to several people. Took my Dog GiGi and she's a miniature Golden Doodle and I have been here several times before and had great experiences. This time they completely shaved her and felt rushed that day and she did not have tangles only in her legs but they completely shaved her and were done in 1.5 hours when they usually take longer when they actually care to take their time. When they shaved her ears they cut both ears and since my dog has been in pain and bleeding every once in a while. My usual cost is 90 but this day they charged my card 180 which was stealing for the service I got. DONT go here!!!! Terrible service read more

Dominic is Awesome! The owner Lindsay is horrible!! My dogs were due to be groomed by Dominic but he was sick, which I understand. They said Lindsay would do the grooming. I called 3 hours later to see when my dogs would be ready. The gentleman who answered the phone said Lindsay left due to an emergency and he had no idea when she would return. He stated they had been bathed but were in the cage and would be groomed when Lindsay returned. Which he didn't know when , so we said we would come and get them. When we got there Lindsay, the owner, had returned and was very rude to us. She was mad we were taking our dogs and was yelling at us that it always takes four hours. She wouldn't get our dogs for us until we paid for the bath, which was something like $124. She would hold them in case she had to call the sheriffs. They took the spa treatment off and charged us $75 for two smallish dogs baths. We paid it. Lindsay said "I like your dogs but we don't like challenging customers." I have been going there for five years with my dogs and we weren't challenging until Lindsay got involved. She was very abrupt and rude. Now she has contacted other groomers to tell them not to work with us, one I know of is Essential Grooming, because the owner told me. We took our dogs to Dominic every 5 weeks, we were loyal customers, and we tipped 25% Every time we went. We paid approximately $180 every five weeks. Now because of Lindsay we will be seeking counsel to find out what can be done about her bad mouthing us to other businesses. I never yelped Lindsay's bad behavior before but finding out today that she has gone to other businesses we feel we must. We had decided just to go else where and not bother with this. But Lindsay obviously didn't care that we didn't want our dogs in a cage all day not knowing when she would return from her emergency. She is very vindictive. read more

I have been bringing my pup here for several years now, he has been coming since he was a puppy and has always had a wonderful experience. The staff are so good with him and he is very sassy so I know how difficult he can be but they don't seem to mind. They know just how to handle him and he is always happy to go see them for his grooms, even if he tries to hide initially. They do a good job of ensuring he has his particular needs met with his allergies and other issues. Highly recommend Lindsey and the rest of the safe. This place is incredible, the employees & owner are amazing. I think I'm in love? they have restored my Keeshond, Stevie Nyx's coat to the gorgeous silky smooth it was, she had a terrible experience with a PREVIOUS mobile groomer that traumatized her and destroyed her coat (we thought permanently) . Lindsey has worked so hard on getting Stevie comfortable around strangers again, it really says a lot when you notice your dog starting to feel safe around people. we couldn't believe how beautiful and healthy her coat is now, Stevie's still a little shy but they're working with her every time we take her. AND they give her blueberry facials every time so she comes home smelling like a little angel. This place is amazing. read more

Thank you Janelle for clipping my puppy's nails!! I have a 7 month old 65 pound Doberman puppy who is deathly afraid of the nail dremel sound. (I know, I know, I should've gotten him used to the sound when he was a puppy). We tried doing his nails multiple times at home with the dremel to no avail. We didn't want to further scare him so I quickly called Furology and Janelle was able to get him in within a couple of hours. They did need 2 people to do the job but they did it! Dominic was so hospitable and amazing! I brought my mother's dog (a two year old Boxer/Rottweiler mix) in to have his nails clipped. Bernie is an incredibly powerful, yet skittish dog. Amazing! Brought my 5 month old pug puppy for a nail trim and ear cleaning. He had been itching his ears quite a bit and they were starting to develop an odor. After trimming my puppy's nails and taking a look at his ears, Dominic let me now that the ears looked infected and recommended seeing the vet. I cannot recommend this grooming salon. This pains me to write. I had been coming to FURology for about two years. My dog's groomer, Destinie, was phenomenal. She had him on a regular schedule and knew what I wanted with his grooming. I've never had any issues before this incident. Unfortunately, one day I picked him up from his appointment and his eye was shut. I wasn't told that there was an issue or if anything happened during his groom. I brought him home and within minutes, his eye was swelling and was double its size. I called FURology and asked if his eye was like this the entire time. They explained that it could have been a hair that entered his eye and was causing irritation. I was told to come back to FURology for them to rinse his eye. As soon as I pulled up, someone came outside to take him in. His groomer Destinie, came outside where I was standing and went to go grab Janelle from the salon next door. At no point, did Destinie talk or acknowledge me. Not even 5 minutes later, Janelle came out and handed me my dog and said "i don't know what to tell you". She told me to monitor him and if his eye was the same in the morning, to take him into the vet. I was shocked to say the least. How is it possible that I dropped my dog off in the morning and he was in perfect health, and when I picked him up his eye was swollen shut. I was livid. I ended up taking my dog into the vet and they told me he had a significantly large cut on his eye. The doctor told me there was a big possibility that he would loose his eye. I was terrified for my little dude. As soon as I spoke with the vet, I sent Janelle and Destinie a text on it. They told me to give them a call when I could. Janelle said that she checked with the groomers to see if something happened, and of course no one owned up to anything. My dog ended up being on a cocktail of medication and eye drops for weeks. We had to check in with the vet often just to see how he was doing. Luckily, I have him at an amazing Vet clinic and the Doctor was incredible. We were able to save his eye and get him back to 100%. I've worked with animals for a very long time, accidents happen all of the time, but you ALWAYS let the owner know what happened. I used my judgement to take my dog in right away because eye issues can be significant. However, if this would have happened to someone else who isn't aware of the severity of the situation, their animal could have lost an eye. FURology responded well and actually paid for our vet bill. I'm thankful for that, but I would rather have wanted honesty from his groomer Destinie. Money doesn't mean anything when it comes to the health and safety of your fur family. I'm disappointed and hurt that this incident occurred and no one told me anything. No one was honest with me and now my dog has this trauma from this grooming incident. I can no longer recommend this grooming salon to anyone. If you care about the health and safety of your pet, and would like to know of any issues going on during the groom, TAKE YOUR PET SOMEWHERE ELSE. Provided are photos of my dog, the first one I took the morning of his appointment, the second was when I picked him up after the groom, the final one is him at the vet. You don't want your animal to go through this, it's extremely heartbreaking, please do not put your fur babies at risk. read more

They specialize in grooming cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs, in addition to dogs! PURology Pet SPaw just opened up next to FURology, and they're part of the same business. PURology is a separate facility that does not have dogs, so I felt comfortable bringing my rabbits there because it created a low stress environment. I took my two American Fuzzy Lops for grooming and we had a wonderful experience. My rabbits had really bad matted fur, and I was happy I found this gem to care for them. Chad and Destiny were very knowledgeable and facility was very clean. During their appointment, they carefully shaved all the mats off, brushed their fur including their underside and feet, cleaned their glands and ears, and clipped their nails. They were able to finish the job in 2 hours or less (per rabbit). I was very impressed! The price for each grooming session was affordable and fair as they charged for what they were able to do and the difficulty level for grooming each rabbit. I walked away feeling happy with their service. Parking was easy. I would recommend for other Bunny parents! read more

Our old boarding place kept their cats in a small cube cage, while at Purrology, my cat got a cat condo so he could jump from level to level and not just be cramped in a small confinement. They're pretty shady/passive-aggressive and non transparent here. I've taken my dog here several times and always tell them to avoid his paws and typically pay $35 for his bath. I always ask them how he did or if they found anything and their reply is always "good." It doesn't seem like they really care about your dogs health or how they're doing. I've taken my dog to other groomers and they let me know if they noticed any fleas or ticks or foxtails or if he just needed talking or distraction... these people don't do that. Today I brought in my dog under the same circumstances and then at check out they informed me that I was paying for "extra love" on top of his bath which was an additional $19 for a total of $54 because they had to put a muzzle on him because he tries to bite and doesn't like getting his nails done... first of all I told them to avoid his paws altogether each visit and it seems like they don't follow through with this. Last time they added an additional "face, feet and fanny" spontaneously without informing me ahead of time. Also my dog has his vaccines. They ask for that for a reason because when dealing with animals there's always that possibility you may get bit. That's the nature of your job as a groomer. Plus it costs less than $10 for a muzzle. If you ask me, they're just adding themselves a personal tip without your consent. That's non-transparent and shady. It seems like they're not very good with pets here and rush them that's why they're getting that type of reaction from an animal and instead they decide to take it out on you. And if my dog didn't tolerate the bath or grooming well then why didn't you tell me when I ask how he did? That's bad practice and nonprofessional. You chose to be a dog groomer for a reason. You're either good with dogs or not. These people suck. They do not know what quality service is just want your money. read more

Staff is really nice and helpful but I didn't like the job they did on my dog. 1. They didn't clean his teeth good (i don't even think they have touched it to begin with) 2. I was told that i would get charged extra because my dog bites but then when i came to pick up my dog they told me he didn't bite anyone but still got charged? 3. We love FURology and all of the amazing groomers here! Luna, our 4 year old golden doodle, has never enjoyed being groomed. She can be a bit skittish with new people. The first time we took Luna to FURology, they treated her so sweetly and were accommodating to her shyness. While she'll never love being groomed, she's gotten comfortable with all of the staff because they are soooo caring and gentle.
