Each year our family reunion is celebrated in NSB and for the weeks preceding all I can think about is my first meal at Boston's Fish House. The service is top notch and if anyone notices that you need a refill they take care of you, even though they aren't your server. It feels like a family member is running the place and taking care to ensure a good meal and welcoming atmosphere. Boston's isn't a big restaurant so peak dining hours will probably mean a wait, but it's definitely worth it. Their New England Clam Chowder is silky smooth in the most luxurious way, filled with fresh meat and undoubtedly made from the finest ingredients. Several restaurants in NSB serve a good clam chowder but Boston's is my favorite. If you want to treat yourself get the bowl size serving but the cup size is a great starter choice. We visited twice during our one week stay. The first time I got fish and chips and the second time I got the 12 piece jumbo shrimp dinner with fries. Both times I chose the baked beans for a side. You can't go wrong with any choice but those beans are great. There's no way I can eat 12 shrimp so I always have the treat of a snack the next day. My husband got the blackened mahi mahi and said it was fantastic. The second time he also chose the 12 piece shrimp dinner but with coleslaw and onion rings! Take a look at the picture, the rings were terrific. I definitely prefer the thinner rings over the large ones that some places serve. Boston's is a must for visitors to NSB. The menu states that it's the best seafood in New Smyrna Beach and they certainly get my hearty recommendation.
I've been here two times now and had a fabulous experience both times! The food is delicious and fresh. Service is great, such an amazing staff. They also have homemade ranch that is great! The inside is very nice and beachy.
Definitely do not hesitate to eat here! First the service was excellent! It's a tight fit inside with lots of fun liscense plates to look at and the menu is huge! It was so hard to decide! The salads all look so good it was so hard to decide! I forget the name of the one i finally chose and it was delicious! Look at my picture and just point the server Will know! The lobster bisque wasn't was good but we ended up liking the clam chowder more. The fish pasta was full of lots of fish! Very good. The lobster roll was warm and it was a ton of meat!! Cooked to perfection and fresh! No stinky fish smell! Local on tap beers and Guinness on tap. Definitely will be back to try more menu options! It's a lot of food!!

Always amazing! Great food, awesome service. Everyone in our group is always happy we love the fried clams. We are from Boston so we absolutely love this place! When I'm missing home this is where I come.
Stopped for fish and chips. Nowhere in New England would you find the fish nuggets that were served to me. Fish was mushy and batter was bland. Fries were fine but the onion rings again were bland with no seasoning in the batter. Service was friendly and efficient and portions are great. Has the Cape vibe going on in the dining room. Wasn't impressed. (FYI I'm a Boston Native).
My friend and I were looking for a seafood place to hang out for a late lunch. After doing a quick Google search, found the Boston's Fish House in New Smyrna Beach, FL. I had the shrimp wrap with sweet potato fries (which were yummy). The wrap was stuffed with moist, fresh shrimp along with lettuce and celery. So good. My friend had the Blackened Mahi Mahi Sandwich with fries and she said it was delicious! The service was fine. The restaurant itself has a laid back vibe. There is outdoor setting where your furry companions can hang out with you!
Got to meet up with some friends for lunch at a place we both had on our radar, Boston's Fish House in New Smyrna Beach. The vibe is New England and the food definitely reflects that part of the country. We did an order of Ipswich Whole Clams while a couple of us decided on the Lobstah Rolls with onion rings and a cup of Chowdah!!! Food...excellent. The chowder was thick, rich, and creamy just like home. We had not ordered chowder initially until we saw a cup delivered to another table. The lobster rolls were loaded with tender claw and tail meat, just the right amount of mayo, and more importantly on a Nissen grilled bun. Also tried the clams...great flavor and the bellies were full of Ipswich goodness...LOL. Overall you felt like you were back in New England enjoying seafood in a small coastal shanty. Our server Susannah took excellent care of us and didn't bother us while we chatted and caught up well after the plates were cleared.
Not a chain for sure. That was my worry boring chain food. But the clam chowder and linguini I had were anything but boring. They have Guinness on tap.
We came back to Boston's and were so excited to see that at 1 pm on a Saturday (holiday weekend!), that they were slow! Indeed, we were seated almost immediately. Unfortunately, that is where their efficiency ends. We waited so long on a server (they kept walking on by) that we had to ask the hostess to please send someone. Eventually, the server arrived without so much a mention as an apology for her delay. She wakes by us multiple times without even a glance. This place is small, so she definitely saw us. We had to ask 2-3 times for each thing we needed. (Lemons and cocktail sauce?). We had to flag her down multiple times. As someone who has worked in restaurants for years, her inefficiency to me signals "new server" or "I don't know how to do this well". The food was... different. Heavy batter on the shrimp, no salt or other seasoning at all to the batter. The broccoli salad was mildly seasoned but the cole slaw had absolutely no flavor at all. Everything was.. bland (in comparison to our last visit a year ago). I don't know if it's new owners, but this was a disappointing change in one of our absolute favorites places to eat while at NSB. I hope the next time we come over from Orlando that it has improved much more. Would be a shame to cut this place out. In fairness, this server seemed to be the only one working inefficiently. One off day after years of great food isn't enough to drive by. Stop in!!

Fresh food, great service, good portions! We stopped in here for fresh fish on our way home from the beach and everything was 10/10! Will def go back!

Don't let the outside fool you - this is a great local seafood restaurant After finishing the Turtle Mound River Tour, two different couples on our boat recommended that we try the Boston Fish House in New Smyrna Beach. We decided to take their advice, and we're glad we did. From the outside, the building looks a little worn and easy to overlook, but don't let that fool you. Once inside, we found what appears to be one of those local restaurants where people come because they know the food is consistently good. There seemed to be parking and entrances on two sides of the restaurant, making it easy to get in and out. Inside, there was a good mix of booths and tables, and everything was clean and well maintained. One thing that caught my eye was the collection of license plates decorating the walls, which gave the restaurant a relaxed, casual atmosphere. The menu is centered around seafood, as you would expect, but there are enough non-seafood choices that just about everyone should be able to find something they like. I ordered the chicken sandwich while my partner had the shrimp with onion rings. Both meals came out quickly, the amount of food was generous, and everything was delicious. The hostess greeted us and took our preference of a booth and seated us. Our waitress was friendly, professional, and attentive throughout the meal. Our total bill for the two of us was about $45, which I thought was very reasonable considering the quality of the food, the excellent service, and the pleasant atmosphere. Overall, this turned out to be an excellent recommendation, and we're glad we listened. If you're in the New Smyrna Beach area and looking for a good meal, don't judge this place by its appearance. Great Spot for a Casual Seafood Lunch! I went here for a late birthday lunch with my partner because we were hungry for seafood Our waitress was super friendly, and the service was excellent from start to finish. We were seated in a cozy booth, and I immediately noticed the fun decor--tons of license plates from different states, some with funny names or messages. It added a quirky, welcoming vibe that we really enjoyed. The atmosphere was good, but not too loud. I started with the clam chowder, and my partner had the lobster bisque--both were absolutely delicious. My chowder had a generous amount of fresh clams and was rich and flavorful, but it wasn't heavy fo my stomach. For my main dish, I had the blackened white fish with coleslaw and fried sweet potato. The lemon was the perfect touch on the fish, the coleslaw was super fresh, and the sweet potato fries were crispy and satisfying. Overall, we had a great time. I'd definitely recommend this place. read more

Cute little local fish house. I visited after a morning at the beach. I just got a cup of the lobster bisque and it was delish. It was creamy and had little bits of lobster in it. The staff was friendly. My friend ordered the lobster bisque and a lobster roll. She enjoyed it. I'd visit again. I need to try more things on their menu. The only thing I didn't like was the bathroom. It could use some sprucing up. read more

Clam chowder 10/10 recommend to a friend every single time! It's so delicious, always served hot even when we order it to go while staying at the beach, full of clams, perfect consistency, and great flavor. It also made for a perfect photo op. Service 3/5: our server was nice enough but not over the top. And a lot of the other staff working would crowd together to chat and once overheard them complaining about another worker. There was a red head server there waiting on the table next to us and she was FABULOUS, I heard her chatting away with her tables, checking on them often, and just genuinely a great server. Appetizer trio 4/5: fried calamari, clam strips and shrimp. It's a lot of fried food but it is yummy. The clam strips are my favorite. The calamari was pretty good but a little tougher than I like. Fish sandwich 4/5: I personally thought it was messy and slimy and not that good. But my husband thought it was delicious. So I guess you will have to decide for yourself! read more

It's a tropical storm and I am eating at Bostons. It's an all seafood restaurant in New Smyrna Beach Florida and I am craving my seafood. I have lived in the desert for so long that I forgot what it is to have fresh sea food. Clam chowder for the rain, check. Raw oysters nope they don't have them and I was craving them. Ended up with the grouper which was good as well as the key lime pie. Something was missing in terms of a little flair but it was still good enough that I didn't mind missing out on the oysters tonight. Would love to see some additions to the menu but not bad overall. read more

We all really enjoyed the food. It was a very causal dinner, super quick service, and the seafood was pretty good. It all came out piping hot, which was great. It's definitely a lot of fried food, but it was good. The scallops were just a smidge over cooked and I know my friend was disappointed that they were all out of the swordfish. But all in all it was a good dinner! read more
