Well it's a New Year and it's out with the old and in with the new. As a NSB local not much gets passed us but when they closed the door of the infamous Boston Fish House rumors were flying around this beach town with little warning of the coming closure or what was in store. I'll call this a rebranding, so welcome to the opening of "The Fish House", thankfully there are lots of familiar faces and the wonderful "New England Style Seafood" is as good as it ever was. I am told they will be implementing some changes to go with the refresh, there is now a rewards program that available for a one time fee of $5.00 per person, I'm not sure of all the perks but I'm sure they will be worth the price for the locals, It's great to see the service is still outstanding, the food quality remains of the very highest quality, the portions are amazing large and the customers have already started to flock here. We are definitely glad to see them back...

Very tasty Captains platter. Had the scallops, shrimp and haddock broiled with the oysters fried. Food came out at the right temperature and the flavors were fantastic . They allowed 1 free side swap out. We had the sewwt potato fries and they were also quite tasty.

Fastest service and the food hot & delicious ! Marley our waitress was awesome . I had the twin Main lobster rolls, packed with deliciously sweet lobster. Washed it down with the Mermaid Chaser, perfect combo !

What a great meal staff and service. Was able to get a short notice reservation for 18. Arrived to complimentary boom boom shrimp and onion rings. Drinks were well poured and food was so good. Will definitely come again every time we're staying in NSB

    The meal

No longer Boston's Fish House. Not even close. The whole belly fried clams were not cooked through and they tasted rank like they were cooked in dirty oil. The bellies were literally room temperature. Lobster rolls didn't have very much meat but they were only $22. The lobster meat was not chilled. It was also room temperature and the texture was like sea legs and had way too much horrible tasting mayonnaise. French fries and onion rings were okay. Not worth $100. Will never go back. Service was adequate but drinks weren't offered to be refilled until we were leaving. The twin lobster rolls came with one scrawny lemon wedge that no cook should ever serve with any meal.

    Key West fish tacos

Key west fish tacos were amazing. Onion rings were very crispy. Service was quick and attentive and it was wonderful sitting outside. Mango salsa was great on the tacos.

It came with a skewer with shrimp, pickle , olive which I ate first!

Food and service were great! Ambiance is casual and dining room a little crowded but there is outdoor seating if you like.

Don't let the outside fool you - this is a great local seafood restaurant…read moreAfter finishing the Turtle Mound River Tour, two different couples on our boat recommended that we try the Boston Fish House in New Smyrna Beach. We decided to take their advice, and we're glad we did. From the outside, the building looks a little worn and easy to overlook, but don't let that fool you. Once inside, we found what appears to be one of those local restaurants where people come because they know the food is consistently good. There seemed to be parking and entrances on two sides of the restaurant, making it easy to get in and out. Inside, there was a good mix of booths and tables, and everything was clean and well maintained. One thing that caught my eye was the collection of license plates decorating the walls, which gave the restaurant a relaxed, casual atmosphere. The menu is centered around seafood, as you would expect, but there are enough non-seafood choices that just about everyone should be able to find something they like. I ordered the chicken sandwich while my partner had the shrimp with onion rings. Both meals came out quickly, the amount of food was generous, and everything was delicious. The hostess greeted us and took our preference of a booth and seated us. Our waitress was friendly, professional, and attentive throughout the meal. Our total bill for the two of us was about $45, which I thought was very reasonable considering the quality of the food, the excellent service, and the pleasant atmosphere. Overall, this turned out to be an excellent recommendation, and we're glad we listened. If you're in the New Smyrna Beach area and looking for a good meal, don't judge this place by its appearance. It's well worth the stop. Enjoy!

Great Spot for a Casual Seafood Lunch!…read more I went here for a late birthday lunch with my partner because we were hungry for seafood Our waitress was super friendly, and the service was excellent from start to finish. We were seated in a cozy booth, and I immediately noticed the fun decor--tons of license plates from different states, some with funny names or messages. It added a quirky, welcoming vibe that we really enjoyed. The atmosphere was good, but not too loud. I started with the clam chowder, and my partner had the lobster bisque--both were absolutely delicious. My chowder had a generous amount of fresh clams and was rich and flavorful, but it wasn't heavy fo my stomach. For my main dish, I had the blackened white fish with coleslaw and fried sweet potato. The lemon was the perfect touch on the fish, the coleslaw was super fresh, and the sweet potato fries were crispy and satisfying. Overall, we had a great time. I'd definitely recommend this place.

We went to Ciao Bella for dinner and we had an amazing experience…read more We came into the restroom which had a great atmosphere and ambiance. It was all decorated up for Easter Sunday which is tomorrow. The serves was great, we were greeted right away and sat right away. They filled our waters and brought us the bread to start and gave us time to look at the menu. We started with fried ravioli, pear and Gorgonzola salad, and the the glazed Brussels sprouts. The salad was a little small for the price but the taste was great! The Brussel sprouts were delicious and well glazed. Then the fried ravioli were really good filled with a mix of cheese that was delicious and a side of marinara. They were all great and were great to share! Then for the mains we ordered the Gnocchi, gnocchi with Alfredo sauce and were cooked perfectly! Both sauces were delicious and tasted like they were made in house. I ordered the pasta allá puttanesca and it was great. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly and it had two types of olives and crushed tomatoes and was perfect. Then other people ordered a BBQ chicken pizza and the capricciosa pizza which were both great. We tried the tiramisu to finish off the dinner and it was some great desert. It was definitely made in house and was delicious. The service was great as it was very busy and the staff handled all of our needs and flipped tables very quickly around us. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a great Italian meal.

Took my friends from out of town for the 1st time. Great choices for appetizers, had the gator nuggets and lobster bites. Both were delicious and highly recommend. I tried Hogfish for the 1st time. .The crab spinach dip with homemade chips were fantastic.Perfectly prepared and Gouda grits were so Gouda! The tropical slaw was one of the best ever. My one friend had the Jonah crabs which surprisingly were difficult to crack and meat fell apart. Recommend getting a smaller sturdy fork. The other had the stuffed flounder which was excellent. Highly recommend this place, great food. Service and ocean view to boot. Also one of the few restaurants that take reservations. My neighbors feel more restaurants should allow locals to make reservations.
