Did lunch today. Egg Salad on toasted bread with lettuce tomato Mayo and cheese w a bag of chips and a mimosa. Grilled Cheese w tomato soup for dipping.

Don't miss this hidden gem if you are looking for great breakfast food, that's perfectly prepared. It's everything you want and nothing that you don't. Eating outside is so nice and it's a nice break from the crowds. The staff were so nice and accommodating. The hash browns and eggs were delicious!

My mother, sister and I visited here on our way to Port Canaveral for a quick breakfast. My sister and I got the breakfast plate and it was delicious, just like a home cooked breakfast. The staff consisted of the two owners, Joe and Neel, who were incredibly friendly and personable, and they got our food out quickly. They both make you feel as if you've been life long friends. We got to chat with them and hear all about New Smyrna, recommendations of which places to stop at, and about their restaurant. Since we would be gone by lunch time, they were generous enough to let us try their tomato basil soup which was absolutely delicious, and I would 100% recommend to everyone. It is all outside seating, in their shaded court yard surrounded by neighboring shops to look at while waiting for your food. The atmosphere was relaxing and calm, exactly what you would expect from a cafe right on the beach. The location was 2 minutes walking distance from the beach with cute shops along the way. I plan on returning to New Smyrna soon, and I recommend here for anyone who is looking for a quick, relaxing bite for breakfast or lunch. The location is perfect. The portions were large and yummy and came out in a timely manner. However, the staff/owners are easily the best part, and they are what make Patio Cafe the best place to stop.

We came into town for a week and stumbled upon this newly opened cafe. First of the all, it's in a little courtyard just off of Flagler which makes it very convenient and great for the kids. But more importantly the french toast is off the charts good! Pick your table, order at their counter and get your food in a few short minutes. Their staff is so sweet and were very good to us. We basically became family after visiting with them 3 times in the week we stayed in town! Also love their hash browns. Go check them out if you're looking for something delicious, easy and friendly. read more

I can only say amazing things about Patio Cafe. The owners are amazing. They are so unbelievably kind and go above and beyond in the way they do customer service. The food is amazing and the portions are quite large for the price especially compared to all the food places in the area. My girlfriend and I have been in twice so far and definitely plan on going again. They serve breakfast and lunch and after having both they really are the best option for quick, good food without paying the Florida prices. read more

Myself, my husband and friends visited this place on our recent New Smyrna. We were drawn here by the reviews. The friendly greeting sealed the deal for where to eat. The food was delicious! I had the French toast with blueberries. It had a nice cinnamon taste and no syrup was needed due to the whip cream and blueberries. My friends had the egg sandwich and waffle. They also were very pleased. We will definitely make this a breakfast stop. read more

However, the food unfortunately didn't live up to the vibe or the prices. My husband and I ordered the grouper tacos, and they were a bit disappointing -- mostly cabbage with very little fish, and on the dry side. The cocktails were $17 each (before tax and tip), which would be fine if they matched the experience, but they were served in regular plastic cups, which felt out of place for such an upscale setting. Overall, it's a beautiful spot with a great atmosphere, but the quality of the food and presentation doesn't justify the high prices.

I am the type to never order anything on the "Chef's special menu" but the ambience was so warm and inviting, I lost my head a little-bit. I'm glad we did we order the Crustini and it was next level. I thought I was eating on south beach for a moment. Flavors were intense, but not overpowering & it all complemented one another. If you are there make sure you try this appetizer. The bread for the Crustini was fresh not overly hard or stale. The main course I had was perfect. I had the steak au poivre. The sear on the meat was spot on and the sauce was not overly peppery. It let the steak do its job with the seared crust. Chefs veggies were good and the red bliss mash was velvet, smooth. The cocktails here also are amazing! I'm not just saying that my wife order something called the beatnik. You can taste the fresh beet juice. You can tell there was somebody back there pressing them freash. You know how beets usually stains your teeth? This did not! Overall fabulous experience. We even took our kids here and they had excellent choices for kids menu. Very happy over all. We did not try dessert. However we notice on the menu they support local dessert shops in the area with their offerings. Next time we go back we will definitely try them. There was a power outage in the area so all the locals were out to find dinner. Servers running around, and a guy who looked like the owner, came in with groceries and was later handing out dishes. Our server came by and said they'd bring our choice of water right out- tap, sparkling, bottled still, and grab our drink order. I asked for the house Chianti. It was really good and only $8, so I thought man, for $8, I will have another glass. Ha! When the bill came, they charged me $28! Apparently they were not serving me the house Chianti or they rang me up wrong. I don't know but that was a big surprise. We started with the fried calamari, burrata, meatballs, Cesar salad and octopus. They did not have the octopus carpaccio on the menu but they had a grilled octopus so we said we would try it. It was a bit chewy- I've had way more tender at other places. It could also use some char marks. The meatballs were small and although the menu said served with ricotta and Parmesan- the amount of cheese on top was sad. The meatballs were good and the marinara sauce is delicious. The Cesar salad was awesome. I loved the croutons and the side of anchovies. It was perfectly dressed and not too much cheese. The burrata was delicious; a little pesto on top with a lot of arugula and a huge heirloom tomato. The calamari was pretty standard. My husband said the calamari was too chewy and he did not enjoy the octopus texture at all- leaving his chewed bite in a napkin. My folks seemed to not care. The bread they serve with the oil and balsamic is delicious. It came out hot from the oven. Wow. I had the lasagna- it's a small serving but I was already full. I took a couple bites. It was good. I like their bolognese sauce. We had the three specials- the lobster and seafood fra diavolo, the red snapper and Shrimp on linguini with the white wine tomato sauce, the tomahawk veal chop Parmesan w linguini. Everything was so good. The snapper was a large portion- looked like only 2 shrimp but there were 3-4 more underneath the fish. It was a light cream sauce. Very good. The tomahawk veal was enormous. You can't tell by the pic because the plate is a huge platter. They said it is 16oz but to me it looked like 38oz. It was really good. The lobster fra diavolo they made not spicy for my mom which is amazing because they were so busy and they really don't take custom orders. But she was very happy with the not spicy sauce. The lobster I was afraid would be overcooked because I feel like everywhere overcooks them, but this place did not! It was tender and not chewy. So all our entrees came out perfect. The owner was around- he's the one who brought me salt and he brought some of our appetizers. He was very helpful. For dessert I had to have the cannoli. They fill them fresh, I know it because the shell was so crispy. We also had 3 martini specials- the key lime pie martini, the pistachio martini and the tiramisu martini. All were good. The key lime was different than most restaurants - more tart and less thick. The tiramisu martini was everyone's favorite. Because of that, we got the tiramisu cake to go! It's circular and not from a sheet cake. It's very pretty and tasted really good. We got one bite before we bagged it up. Our server did a great job. She was pretty new. We told her what we loved, including the bread- and she went and bagged some up for us to go! Wow! Great service. My only complaint is the mix up on the wine. The house Chianti is what I ordered. I may or may not have gotten that, but I was definitely charged for something else. I expected $16 and instead it was $28. I probably should have complained but we otherwise had a good time. I will mention it the next time I go there.

This is my new go-to restaurant in New Smyrna Beach. Any place with great food, great prices AND great people, I'm there. Couple that with a breezeway patio near the beach, and you've got yourself culinary experience I'm sure you're not going to forget. The guys here are super cool. The food is amazing. OH YEAH ... The cheesecake ... that cheesecake is hands down THE BEST Cheesecake I've ever had. As soon as my fork cut into it I KNEW this was different. The cook and the owner there LOVES what they do, and it's evident with every succulent bite--truly a labor of love and you can tell. But don't take my word for it, try it for yourself. read more

I had originally eaten at this location a few years back when it was a different restaurant and I came in expecting that but I when I ordered my food and tasted it I was blown away. it was so good and now I will have dreams about this place instead of the old place. the people were so nice and when we were finishing our food the chef came out with this amazing bread pudding that was to die for. I 10/10 recommend this place if you are in the area and I will for sure be coming back. It's a little place tucked away in a plaza but you will be so happy when you find it and your taste buds will be delighted. read more
