My number was ticket number 43 on Friday, 20 March 2026 when I got my items and when I went back to the office, I realize she charged me for the orange juice but she never gave me the orange juice not nice. They should check their orders before it is being dispatched. They are so greedy to get the money for the orders, but they do not pay attention to the customers orders very well. This place is what I will miss the most about Rowan Campus. I ordered a poppy with butter every other day (if not every) my senior year. The staff began to know my order!! Plus you cannot beat these prices. The bagel is so soft on the inside but still has a nice crunch. I hope to drive down to South Jersey soon to buy a dozen to bring home. In a college town with not many great breakfast options, Rys comes through as the only bagel place we need. There are so many flavor choices, cheddar being my family's favorite. Around the holidays they even do Christmas bagels with white chocolate and festive sprinkles. Rys also does specialty cream cheeses like caramel apple and they make great breakfast sandwiches too. When we are just feeling too lazy to make breakfast, we order some breakfast sandwiches and a dozen bagels to freeze for later. Oh and don't forget to add a hash brown to your order. read more

100% the best bagel shop in SJ! They have a variety of bagels like chocolate chip, sesame, poppy, strawberry, blueberry, french toast, cheddar, cheddar jalapeño, plain, and a few more! They always taste so fresh!! They also have house-made cream cheese and whipped butter. It is a combo deal to get a dozen bagels with 3 spreads. We love the strawberry cream cheese, the chocolate chip cream cheese, and the veggie cream cheese. They also have flavors like blueberry, sprinkles, plain, and sun dried tomato. The whipped butter is great for the toasted bagels, we've only ever gotten the plain and cinnamon sugar, but both are delicious. The staff is always attentive and works very quickly. There is almost always a line, so the sooner in the morning you get there the better chance you have of getting your pick of flavors. The inside is nothing fancy, but there are some seats inside and a TV. Oh, and they also have coffee and juice. As well as bagel sandwiches! My new favorite is the jalapeño bagel. Today I wanted a little 'lift' in a breakfast sandwich, so I got the sausage, egg, and cheese on a toasted jalapeño. Usually I get a quick sesame or everything bagel with cream cheese, as close to NY STYLE as it gets in Jersey. But today I missed breakfast due to an early flight back home. The Jalapeño is not hot at all, just warms the palate on a cold December day, and fills up that missed breakfast well in my tummy. I been going to Ry's for about 2 years now. I have tried many bagels, all nice but my favorite is the French Toast Bagel with Carmel apple cream Cheese. They integrated these perfectly caramelize, thin, apple slices into their cream cheese. Not too sweet, just right. Best bite. There is something for everyone. All made with real fruit. I have been frequenting this location for a quarter century now. This is a family run business that makes doughy bagels. Their quality has remained consistent throughout the years. I've always received great food and friendly service. It does get very busy so yes you might have to wait a while depending on when you go. Everything is made to order and it isn't fast food. Last time I was there (June 2024) both of my co-workers were able to customize their order and one of them even had a dairy restriction that was taken care of without issue. Very tasty bagels for South Jersey! Made on premises daily, you can also generally get day old 6 pack mixed bagel bags for $3 each, which is a great price for the quality. I generally go the breakfast route & order online for takeout. If you don't plan on eating in, this is highly recommended. On holidays, weekends and random school closing days the wait time can be nuts here. Honestly, this would be a 5 star bagel joint if the service wasn't quite so abrupt. But given the consistent quality and delicious variety of bagels, I feel pretty confident recommending this spot for your local bagel fix. read more

This place was an awesome find. They had amazing gluten free bagels and knows staff. My husband loved the regular cinnamon raisin bagels with horseradish cream cheese. There are a few bagel shops in Gloucester county but this one so far is the best. The place was packed when I got there with a line to the door but that didn't seem to deter the other customers. When I got my order I understood why. First of all they have a huge variety of bagels (at least 20) and a dozen or more flavored cream cheese spreads. I saw they were advertising a new sandwich (scrapple,egg and cheese ) so I decided to try it. It didn't disappoint. The bagel was nice and fresh the scrapple crisp and good size. I also added jalapeño cream cheese to it. Delicious. I got my wife a pork roll egg and cheese with extra egg and extra pork roll. She couldn't even finish it. I've been going to this place since as long as I can remember, going back to the Don's days. I loved this place. Over the past few years, their bagels have decreased in quality. While it seemed they were making a slight comeback in this area, they still just are "ok". Quite honestly, getting bagels early in the morning at shop rite across the street is the move these days. This store also has embraced some off-putting anti-mask rhetoric, which they display on signs before coming in, with pseudo-intellectual claims about the constitution and masks. You will often find Fox and friends playing when you walk in and there is a stack of newsmax magazines available to read. Now, this is obviously their business and they can do that stuff if they want, but they are very obviously reaching out to demographic and mindset that absolutely isn't me. Whether or not this business decision has gained or lost them customers in the long run, it definitely was a "last straw" of sorts for me to no longer patronize this business that I once loved. read more

Wow! The holiday bagel was worth the 20 minutes we drove to get to Rys bagels. A friend had posted on social media about the bagel& that we waits all year long for them. I worked at a bagel shop through college so they have a special place in my heart while I can be a little snobby about them. They did not disappoint! Check out my pictures for a couple examples of of the yummy bagels we got. But my experience didn't end there the customer service was also out of this world!! I was so excited to try these bagels I couldn't stop hearing about so I told her that we had made the drive over. So the way she made my first time there& the long drive over a little more worth it with an assortment of bagels also shown. I gave some to my dad who drove over from Delaware! Bagel sandwiches are very good. They need more help, especially in the AM. Phone doesn't get answered most times. So instead of having the bagels ready, you stand in line to wait to order. And wait again for the sandwiches to be prepared. Again, worth the wait, but annoying when it happens constantly. read more

I got delivery through door dash, it was quick, and they called to let me know they were out of the juice I asked for. The bagels on the other hand are basically bagel shaped rolls. These are not bagels. There is no way these were boiled and baked. I make bagels myself and the texture of these is all wrong. That said, they're GOOD rolls, just not bagels. Also $2.50 for about 4 ounces of cream cheese isn't a "tub". Thanks to the owner for reaching out! Glad to know about the cream cheese size and that I wasn't off on the technique. I've come to Ry's a few times before-- got the sundried tomato bagel with egg and provolone, SO good-- and went again a few days ago. It's always so delightful being reminded of this business' lovely service and enthusiasm for their food! My partner from California is visiting and said this "hole in the wall in a strip mall" everything bagel with lox spread beat the NYT "best bagel in the U.S." he tried the week before by a long shot!!! My first time at this bagel place. The service was awful. First, I got there and line was to the door, inside. Waited in line at least 20 minutes. During that time, many customers entered to the right by the beverage coolers and went behind the counter to talk to the employees and place their order. Above the counter are arrows dictating what line to stand in whether you are door dash/prepaid, pickup/phone order and walk in (which led you to a pastry case). There were at least six or seven people working there and it took me a half an hour until I got my bagels. All of that were standing in line. The woman at the register taking orders was telling everyone how wonderful her husband was slowing down the order taking. Then an older gentlemen walked up and inquired about where his order was and she rudely said "yeah she's been calling you". Then says "you don't listen" under her breath in front of me as I'm finally at the register to place my order. While I'm waiting for my bagel to come out another guest who was standing there for several minutes asks if she is in the right line and is told by the lady behind the register that she was not. The woman behind the counter contnues to preach about her line structure. Which clearly no customer understands. Next time I want a bagel I will go yo my regular place, Township Bagel. read more

Bagel wise their bagels are delicious and taste fresh! I've never been disappointed with the food quality, I will however state that the line system makes no sense... Me and my BF are frequent visitors and every single time we go in there's mass confusion on the lines. And as a person who also works in a customer service type job I get how the employees might get frustrated at the confusion of the customers when the signs do make sense to the employees but not the customers. What doesn't make sense is that the DoorDashers/Phone Pickups have to wait and watch all these customers get serviced first without any clarification if their order is being made or ready for pick up besides the vague "Order for Mark" put out every 10-15 minutes. I've also witnessed customers asking for clarification and getting snarky or rude answers back such as "When the orders ready we'll announce it" followed with a eye-roll or loud sigh. My suggestion is to create a door-dash/phone pickup shelf where ya'll can put ready doordash orders and phone orders, this will help mitigate the confusion of the lines, congestion of the lines, and the frequently asked question and complaint of where customers are supposed to stand. I fully still plan to visit this place because it is delicious but I'm getting very wary of the fiasco of line issues and the occasional rude/sassy remarks to customers who are just confused. read more

I've been to Ry's on several occasions. The theme seems to be great Bagels (obviously and hopefully) with inconsistent everything else (service, speed, quality) however I keep going back because, Bagels. However today, I did a pick up order for 2 sandwiches. 1 turkey and cheese and one whitefish salad, both on everything. After picking up I started my ride to work and grabbed my whitefish salad bagel out of the bag. (I have to say here that I've eaten a lot of whitefish in my life... it's a favorite and better than tuna in my opinion..... )ok, Back to me in the car on the way to work... I reach into the bag and what I feel is nothing but grease/oil, my hand was coated. I took out my bagel and it was literally DRIPPING with fish oil. It was everywhere, my hands, bag, phone, pants, steering wheel.... this was single handedly the greasiest thing I had ever attempted to eat, the grease was pooled in the tinfoil and the bagel bottom was saturated. However, I was starving and had no time to stop again. I ate just the top of the bagel after scraping most of the fish off, surprisingly is was ok in taste, but the grease even on top was unbearable, I even tried to blot it. Disgusted I threw it in the bag after eating half of the top half... I'm still hungry, my car is covered in grease and now I smell like a cat treat. Shame on whoever slopped that onto that bagel, I hope you read this. I didn't take a photo of the bagel but here's some of the aftermath.... So I guess that's it... I'm being followed by dolphins and stray cats and I was starving at work. Buyer beware, be prepared for anything. Ry's has been my go-to spot since I moved to the Sewell area. It's close to my house and we can always count on a stocked variety of our favorite bagels (everything, blueberry, sesame). The bagels are good, especially the next day. I know, weird right? For some reason when eaten that day, they taste like they need to be baked longer. But when I take home a half dozen and toast one up the next morning it's perfection. The outside is crusty and the inside soft, but not too soft. There are a lot of seats and it's a decently sized bagel place, but be prepared for a wait. I've waited up to a half hour in a line out of the door a few weeks ago. It's definitely hit or miss though. This past week between Christmas and New Years it wasn't too bad, I'm thinking because the college crowds are home for the holidays. Always a friendly staff and a lot of cream cheese options. My husband always says they skimp on the pork roll with only one slice when he gets egg and pork roll on a toasted bagel. My delivery was actually a bit early so considering this is a breakfast food place, all those complaining about the wait should probably pre-order. Onto the bagels! I really liked them. We ordered a dozen and chose french toast, jalapeno cheddar, plain, and everything. I personally tried the french toast and jalapeno cheddar and they were both decent, though not a very strong taste.. but that's okay. We also got three cream cheeses: caramel apple, plain, and vegetable. The veggie one was my favorite and the other two were good as well. We're excited to try more flavors of each but I'm gonna sneak in a jalapeno cheddar one because I did really like it :) read more
