For our wedding, I chose St. Joseph as my patron saint, and I was able to find everything I needed here--prayer cards for my groomsmen, as well as the book Consecration to St. Joseph. I've also bought holy water bottles here, filled them, and shared them with coworkers--including one who is a non-practicing Catholic--along with prayer cards and a prayer book. My hope is to help encourage them to return home to the Catholic Church. I know you can find some of these items online or on Amazon, but you don't always know what you're getting. There's something special about shopping in person, and it feels good to support a local Catholic business. Plus, the Gregorian monk chants they play in the store make the whole place feel peaceful--it's like you're walking into something truly good and holy. The prices are worth it, and the service is excellent. They're always there to help, and if they don't have something, they'll even suggest another Catholic store or help you find it elsewhere. This bookstore is open on weekdays (except Fridays). Staff (perhaps volunteers) are transparent and friendly, though some are not always warm as the others. There are quite a substantial amount of faith-based merchandise inside: from different bible versions (NLT, NKJV, KJV, NIV, ESV, NASB, Tyndale, etc) in different sizes; clothings; jewelry and accessories; bible covers and bags; notebooks and journals; study and commentary books; home decorative items; witnessing tracts; writing instruments and highlighters; as well as children's materials inclusive of toys, books, media items, etc. GSCB usually have "discount" on their items, thus, pretty affordable for purchase. We find ourselves regularly visiting GSCB to collect favorite items such as bibles we could share to friends, and bible verse-based merchandises like The Armor of God collections, Wings like Eagles, The Godly Women, and other interesting find for those who enjoy reading, and even decorating with inspiring or motivational texts. GSCB is open to everyone, not just to members of CCGS. That's what I like the most.
