This location is much smaller (the nail stations are much cozier) and there were a lot of clients on a Friday afternoon (all nail stations were full). My mom and I booked pedicure appointments together in advance and even received a confirmation. We arrived 15 minutes early to pick our polish colors, but the salon was extremely busy. While we were waiting, another client joked that we should get ready for the "world's fastest pedicure." We thought she was kidding. She wasn't. My mom was finished in about 15-20 minutes, and mine wasn't much longer. I received a very light and quick "massage" (and that's being generous), while my mom didn't receive one at all--even though we both paid for the exact same service. The entire experience felt incredibly rushed. My heels only received the standard paraffin wax treatment and were never properly scrubbed or worked on, and we both left with rough, callused heels. To make matters worse, we were finished before customers who had been seated ahead of us. For $38 per person, this felt much more like an express pedicure than the standard service we paid for. Second time trying this place as they carry Dazzle products. Will not return- polish chips within days and is if applied properly should last 10-12 days! The nail technician do not know the product- supposed to use 2 base coats- and I paid attention but they acted like they didn't speak English. Very annoyed. read more

I do not write bad reviews BUT I was charged $63 for a children's mani pediucture. The fine print is under ten and my daughter had turned ten two weeks prior. They also charged an additional $10 for one nail a different color with a tiny dot. My dip manicure was $65 and one nail has COMPLETELY popped off exactly one day later. They need to be more transparent about the pricing before they start the service. A dip manicure should last 2-3 weeks. read more

Because it's close I tried it out and got a no chip manicure. The results were lumpy, my nails look like they have waves. The woman doing my nails cut me while filing my nails. Less than a week later and one nail has already chipped, it chipped while I was reading a book, I don't think it was because I was rough on my nails. The place did look clean but the staff was not friendly. read more

I don't get regular nail services but I was able to schedule a same-day classic mani-pedi. Very relaxing atmosphere in the salon - quiet, no strong smells of polish or chemicals. My tech, Hazel did a GREAT job! She helped me pick my nail colors and listened to my preferences for fingernail length and shape for my natural nails. I'm very happy and will return to this salon. First of all we made an appointment for 1:30 and did not get seen till 2:15. The lady doing my nails was beyond rude and disrespectful to me and my friend after we would ask how much longer it would take Sora told us it would take an hour and 1/2 for both of us and it ended up being a 4 hour long trip. At the end of the 4 hours my nails were bumpy and my cuticles were torn up. After bleeding and having to sit for 4 hours they charged me $80. $80 is ridiculous for the service and lack of respect my friend and I received. Never going back. read more

I had a terrible experience on my most recent visit. I made a 5:30 appointment for a no chip manicure. After going through the entire thing, the nail tech wiped off my nails with a cotton pad soaked in alcohol, which is normal for cleaning off the nails. Except it wasn't alcohol - it was acetone, which stripped the manicure. Instead of acknowledging it (though I watched her sniff the bottle), she added two more coats of color and another top coat. I have SIX coats of no chip on my nails right now. There was no apology, no discount, not even an explanation. I saw the entire thing happen, but she never said a word -- acted like it was a normal manicure. I'm not going back. I get that mistakes happen, but it could have been owned up to at the time and corrected differently -- remove the whole thing and start over, ask me to come back in to fix it, etc. Good thing I like Lincoln Park After Dark - it may be on my nails forever. read more

Do NOT recommend. Customer service is trash, definitely believe it was based on my skin color. Most of their clientele are older Caucasian women. Looks like other customers had that issue I should have looked at reviews prior. I came in for a full set I wanted gel powder but the lady refused to use that kept saying that dip powder smells better? Idc about that to m be honest I want what I want. She gave me the dip and then charged me twice the price! Then not even 3 days later a mail broke. I came in to get it fixed and the guy who works at the counter didn't want to bothered with me at all told me it would be 30-45 mins wait for ONE nail I had no choice as I wanted my nails done for my bday. If it wasn't for that I would have cursed them out and left. I ended up waiting when they had like 8 people in there working and only two customers. I have never made a negative review towards a business so this one is a first and I think it's more so management Can become aware of the problem and future customers can save their money. Went in for a pedicure and acrylics. The pedicure was very and I mean VERY rushed, especially for what they are charging. My feet felt the same when she was done as when I came in. When I saw she was ready to paint my toenails , I was stuck in between two colors so I asked if I could please see them both on a toe nail each and I get an attitude about it and her sample was literally a drop of nail polish on the same toenail so I couldn't event tell the difference. At this point I just choose a color and let her finish so I can move on to my acrylics. I asked her for a very simple design which is what I always get (nude nails with purple line on the perimeter of the nail) and never have issues. When she asks what color I tell her the same color as my toe nails and she replied with "No I can't do that color". I then asked her why and she said she can't because it's too light and to choose another one. This left me very very confused and made me wonder if she knew what she was doing. Every where I go I get same color for toes and hands so they match (both gel). So not sure how she can't do purple. If that's the color I want and I'm paying for ir, what is the problem?! So I ask her , ok well what color can you do? After all she makes me pick a darker purple which at this point I don't want but I still let her proceed. She then pulls out some sort of clip-ons looking acrylic nails and that's when I respectfully told her that I think I was ok without acrylics. I was so hesitant because I had never done this but even my friend said to cancel it because why would I pay for something I don't want and for press-on acrylics. I could already see those falling in 2 days. I proceed to pay for pedicure and she says 150$ , and so I tell her "no it's only my pedicure" and she kept on wanting me to pay for mine and my friends pedicure and I had to tell her 3 times we were paying separate. Ended up paying 60 dlls for a rushed pedicure and such an uncomfortable time. Read the reviews before you decide to come in. Im hoping it was just the lady I got. If she would at least be nice I think I would have swallowed it all and still paid for acrylics to not make her feel bad. read more

Now, I understand why it has a bad rating. Customer Service is very poor. Well, atleast for me because I was treated different due to my skin color it seems. Yes,racism is real. I was not treated nicely even though I can clearly see how the workers treat the other clients. The quality of the work of who did my nails is very poor despite the high price. This nail salon is HORRIBLE! First, I ask the lady to square shape my toe nails and she said she did and I'm looking at them and it's clear as day they are not square shape! Then had the audacity to say my toe nail not like normal ppl which really threw me off. Any other nail salon I been to had NO problem shaping my toe nails the way I want them. Thorough disappointment - when a complaint was lodged with the staff that the nail colors were falling off. This place has definitely changed. They have lost one extremely loyal customer primarily because they failed to acknowledge the poor job done and in addition not willing to take responsibility of the poor job that was done. Went in during lunch today because time is crunchy for this weekend... and I needed a pedi BAD for the socialization pending... which was just okay... and at $35... way WAY overpriced for the level of skill and service. My toes still have some roughness to edges here and there... where more cuticle could have been removed. The color application is uneven close up and I would be pretty mad if I didnt have the same Essie color at home. My person was the tall one... and nice enough but this place is pretty sucky in comparison to the ones in the Schaumburg area maybe Its the competition... but you get a much better pedicure for $25 vs. $35 here. Maybe I one of the other techs is really good and I got shafted? Not a fan, even a little. P.S. Gel manis are normally $25... Not $35. So I originally gave this place 1 star because no stars was not an option. I walked in and said I needed a repair and a fill. They half ass repaired my nail making it look like an eagles talon.... no paint just a long garbage looking faKe nail. Maybe I wasn't in their target market which appeared to be 65+.... needless to say I got my nails fixed at my regular place, they tried to make the talons look respectable but within a week one fell off. Thought I would try a new nail salon but I wish I would have made the drive to where I usually go. I went in for a pedicure but it was very rushed. My nails were cut unevenly, the lady didn't wipe the jelly scrub from the back of my calves, and my nails aren't painted right either. I really wanted to like this place since it's about 5 minutes from my house but I would rather drive an hour than to go back and give them more of my money. The lady was also rude and made me feel uncomfortable the whole time. When it came to paying she was charging my card for the pedicure but wanted me to send the tip either through Venmo or zelle but when my zelle wouldn't load she kept coming back to ask if I had sent it. Since it didn't end up loading she said she would charge my card for the whole balance with the tip. I only left a tip because I felt uncomfortable and because she kept asking but I really wish I wouldn't have tipped at all. If I could give Zero stars I would!! I never ever leave reviews I believe that is unnecessary but not only did they rush my services, took the girl legit 15mins for my pedicure. They rushed legit everything, then when I went to go sit down with the guy for my full set, he never asked what size, what design, what I wanted nothing! he had me pick my color and that was it! And not to mention they used what felt like press-on nails, they didnt use acrylic nothing!! My nails dont even look that good no shape... then the worst thing of this whole entire experience. I asked them how much, as I was pulling out my cash. (Maybe should have waited) He charged me $120?!!?!!! That is so ridiculous then proceeded to try to write me a " receipt" as the lady was stapling the actual paper receipt. Like legit scammed me, and wasted my time. First time going there today, and I asked to get a mani pedi. I'm not from around here, so I've been trying to find a nail salon that I can go to regularly. I assumed the price for a full set with gel polish and a regular pedi would be no more than 60-65$. Well when I went to pay he said my total was $105!! That's absolutely crazy to me! After the lady was done( I'm not going to put her name) it looked like I NEEDED a wax. What the heck? So someone else had to fix my brows my making them thin. I have been coming here for 3 years, it is my preferred nail spa in this area. Today, my experience was less than average, not sure why. I had a pedicure and no chip manicure scheduled. I sat down in the pedicure chair, the technician came over and didn't even acknowledge my presence. She starts taking my nail polish off and before you know it another tech was now doing my no chip manicure at the same time! I wasn't even asked about this which was really interesting! I asked twice if this was the "normal" process and they said yes, sometimes and today you get a "special treat". So, my 1 hour relaxation time is no longer. The reason I go to this salon is for the nice relaxing leg massages, and the extraordinary hand manicures that they service. I enjoy sitting down and picking out my hand scrub scent and relaxing while I get both pedicure and manicures. This experience was NOT that at all! I had a manicure at the pedicure stations and washed my hands in the dirty bath water in the tub!! I understand that this may be a time saver BUT there were 4 techs waiting in the back, the place wasn't packed at all. Note to owner: If you want to keep your customers treat them with excellence not as a widget in a factory. Customers come to you for extraordinary service like washing your hands in a sink, neck and shoulder massages, and leg massages with your manicure and pedicure services. read more

Not relaxing experience at all. I realize there's not much the staff can do about it, but I had to speak up. This salon is a part of a chain of 3 and it honestly is the least favorable of them. I would rather drive to their highland park or wheeling locations which are both an added 30-45 minutes out of my way to get a decent manicure or pedicure. The basic pricing is fair because these salons are basic nail salons. They specialized in a regular pedicures, manicures and no chips. This is not a salon you can go to and ask for a gel, acrylic, or dip full set if you have experience with these because it is no where near the basic expectations of what you would expect. The location is nice because it's in a a high traffic area but the salon is the smallest compared to the other two. My biggest issue lately and I mean it's really gotten worse over the last 6 months is their lack of organization with appointments versus walk ins. It's really not even worth calling ahead a few days or even making a standing appointment because it's never honored. They ALWAYS over book or take in walk ins knowing they have scheduled appointments. What is hard for me to understand is why this location out of the 3 is the only one that can manage to honor appointments. I can agree with other reviews they are not consistent with nail techs or up charging. One tech may charge you for ever single little detail while others see it as a quick fix. I use to like this salon but it's not what it used to be and this was in previous to the pandemic it's only gone further downhill. read more

My $65 no-chip gel mani and regular pedi took about 70 minutes and included paraffin wax heel treatment, leg massage, hand scrub, and a quick back massage. My nails are shiny and perfectly painted with no missed areas on the sides (my pet peeve). I always have my cuticles pushed back and not cut, so can't speak to that part. Notes: - Everything looked clean, new, and modern (nice pedicure chairs, sinks built into the mani table) - Huge wall of OPI polish nearly double the size of the Essie rack someone posted a pic of - Staff was very polite and kind, no screaming babies, no loud cell phone conversations - Saw a lot of regulars come in, so it seems there are plenty of happy, loyal customers Thanks, Amy and Jenny! I have been getting dip manicures for several years. I'm new to the area and this was my 1st time at Botti. I was absolutely shocked to be charged $55 for my dip manicure, they charged me a higher rate because my prior dip was not done by them - what?!? The next closest salon charges $45 for a dip and I can get a fine dip manicure in Libertyville for $40!! A couple other items of note: I was there for 1.5 hours (cra. They do a soak off but hand file the nail bed to remove the excess. I've never seen this done, it's always done with a soft drill. Also, after the dip was applied, it was hand filed again, so the final manicure is not glass smooth. Not a catastrophe but unexpected. I also had to sit under a dryer at the end to dry my nails. I've always walked straight out with dry nails after dip manicures. I'll update when I see how long the manicure lasts and how it wears. I won't be back though. Update: I had to go back at day 8 because 2 nails cracked and chipped. They wanted to argue with me as to when I was in because if it was day 7, no charge to fix it, but day 8 was a $5 per nail charge to fix it.
