    One of 5 chipped nails

Second time trying this place as they carry Dazzle products. Will not return- polish chips within days and is if applied properly should last 10-12 days! The nail technician do not know the product- supposed to use 2 base coats- and I paid attention but they acted like they didn't speak English. Very annoyed.

I do not write bad reviews BUT I was charged $63 for a children's mani pediucture. The fine print is under ten and my daughter had turned ten two weeks prior. They also charged an additional $10 for one nail a different color with a tiny dot. My dip manicure was $65 and one nail has COMPLETELY popped off exactly one day later. They need to be more transparent about the pricing before they start the service. A dip manicure should last 2-3 weeks.

Joy did a great job on my holiday nails! It was a challenging design with my short nails but she nailed it!

Got a no chip manicure today and it looks great! The place was clean and the staff were super friendly. Lots of color options.

First of all we made an appointment for 1:30 and did not get seen till 2:15. The lady doing my nails was beyond rude and disrespectful to me and my friend after we would ask how much longer it would take Sora told us it would take an hour and 1/2 for both of us and it ended up being a 4 hour long trip. At the end of the 4 hours my nails were bumpy and my cuticles were torn up. After bleeding and having to sit for 4 hours they charged me $80. $80 is ridiculous for the service and lack of respect my friend and I received. Never going back.

Nine days post-manicure. I guess we have a different definition of "no chip."

I had a terrible experience on my most recent visit. I made a 5:30 appointment for a no chip manicure. After going through the entire thing, the nail tech wiped off my nails with a cotton pad soaked in alcohol, which is normal for cleaning off the nails. Except it wasn't alcohol - it was acetone, which stripped the manicure. Instead of acknowledging it (though I watched her sniff the bottle), she added two more coats of color and another top coat. I have SIX coats of no chip on my nails right now. There was no apology, no discount, not even an explanation. I saw the entire thing happen, but she never said a word -- acted like it was a normal manicure. I'm not going back. I get that mistakes happen, but it could have been owned up to at the time and corrected differently -- remove the whole thing and start over, ask me to come back in to fix it, etc. Good thing I like Lincoln Park After Dark - it may be on my nails forever.

Now, I understand why it has a bad rating. Customer Service is very poor. Well, atleast for me because I was treated different due to my skin color it seems. Yes,racism is real. I was not treated nicely even though I can clearly see how the workers treat the other clients. The quality of the work of who did my nails is very poor despite the high price. It was not satisfying on the price you are paying. The woman who did my nails put alot of coating again & again just to cover up the flaws and so the thickness and bubbles looks very visible.

Ive had pedicures, manicures, and paraffin treatments done, and I love all of them. I tend to get hangnails, so I always ask them not to cut my cuticles. Thank goodness they listen! Other places sometimes cut my cuticles even when i ask them not to. Another perk is that they always have a movie going. Its always on silent, but the captions are on. I love that because I prefer a quieter salon experience, yet I still get entertainment.

I had a gift card for a manicure and pedicure and was told over the phone they could only fit me in for the pedicure that day, but that I could come back the next day for the manicure at no additional charge. Sounded reasonable -- until I showed up. Suddenly, they tried to tell me that splitting the services would cost more because the gift card included a discount for doing both at once. I was furious -- I had just confirmed with them by phone that this wouldn't be an issue. After pushing back, they reluctantly said they could do the manicure, but only if it happened at the same time as my pedicure. Mind you, there wasn't a single other customer in the salon and I arrived well over an hour before closing. The service itself was rushed, impersonal, and I felt like they couldn't wait to get me out the door. In fact, they basically kicked me out 30 minutes before their posted closing time, again, despite the place being completely empty. Save yourself the frustration -- there are too many other salons in the area to waste time or money here. I'll never go back.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Party Nails in Waukegan. This was my fifth visit,…read moreand I had always gone there for a simple pedicure. During my most recent visit, the manager talked me into getting a manicure as well. I believed I was receiving a basic manicure and pedicure, so I was shocked when my bill came to $105 before tip. My previous visits had been around $65. I later realized that gel polish had been applied. I never specifically requested gel polish and generally avoid it because it has damaged my nails in the past. About three weeks later, I returned to have the gel removed and get a pedicure with regular polish. At that point, the owner told me they "never use regular nail polish." I found that very difficult to believe, especially since I had never requested gel polish and was never clearly informed that it was being used. As a disabled customer living on a fixed income, I need to know exactly what services I am receiving and what they will cost. Instead, I felt like services were added without being properly explained, resulting in a much higher bill than expected. When I tried to address my concerns, I felt dismissed rather than helped. What upset me most was the lack of transparency and communication. Customers should be clearly told when they are receiving upgraded services that cost significantly more. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere and cannot recommend Party Nails to others.

Sam who did my nails cut me and I tried to stop him many times and asked him to wash my hands he said wait till he finishes shaping. I said ok. Once I washed my hands I asked for alcohol. Sam gave me some alcohol. I'm trying to not get an infection because the cut is deep. Then I go to pay. My total was $55 and when I was about to make the payment I see that the machine says $56.10. I asked the guy behind the desk why is it $56.10 and he said there is a 2% card fee. I told him you can't surcharge debit card transactions because it is illegal and to take off the fee. He refused. He said there is no way for him to do it. I said you can adjust the $55 to make it $55 with the fee. He said no. I tried to explain to him again that they can be fined for this and that I can file a complaint with visa for refusing to take off the fee and for charging debit card fees. He said to me do you want me to call the cops so you can file a complaint and took the phone pretending to dial 911. I told him you don't file a complaint with the police but visa and Mastercard. I asked for the owners phone number and name and he refused to provide it to me. So he wanted me to call the police to report this. I am in disbelief. I will file a complaint with visa. It may be that the swipe companies are not setting up businesses up correctly but they should know better. Image below from visa clearly stating that you can't surcharge debit cards.
