Didn't realize it had been a year since my first review. However I had to contact Bottoms for another refrigerator problem with my LG. This time the ice chute door wouldn't close so now way to keep ice. I first watched some videos on YouTube to see if I might be able to fix it but I couldn't figure out how to get the panel off on the front safely. So I sent a text to Bottoms Friday afternoon and Lori responded Monday morning to get more info. Wednesday morning we were ready for repair. We've used different appliance companies over the years and there not all great but this was the worst experience ever... few $$$$ hundred $$$ later and we have the same issue.. technician can't tell ya what's wrong... better using YouTube which is all I think he does... it's a joke of a company and I suggest using anyone but them. read more

Said the compressor was bad... actually just copper tube vibrating. Called Bottoms because our LG fridge compressor was making a vibration noise. The repairman shows, unscrews the back panel and tells me the compressor is bad... and then tells me that they are not able to repair compressors. So, they charged me $80 to tell me my fridge was broken and I needed to call LG. LG tech comes out, plugs in a diagnostic tool, checks it all out and adds foam to a copper tub that was touching a piece of metal. Fixed - no charge. Now, Bottoms will not answer my calls or return a call to me. I want my money back - would not recommend. read more

The man was prompt on arriving to replace a piece on my washer-- this was after the first appointment to evaluate the leak. He replaced the piece, but did not run a cycle to see if it still leaked!! He did not put the back panel of the washer back on the washer, and left it pulled so far out that I could not close my laundry room door. I called and told them all of this and they seemed surprised, but did not offer to come back out to check the washer for leaking, nor to move it back or put the back piece on it. So, I guess my husband will have to finish the job. I am very dissatisfied. read more

Bottoms Appliance Repair did a warranty repair on a Samsung fridge a few years back. I called them back out recently on my dime to fix the bearings on my Kenmore dryer and the ice maker on that same Samsung fridge. Both appliances were repaired in a short afternoon. Cost was reasonable, the tech was on-time and polite. Their paperwork was well organized and sent via email. It's easier to get in touch with them via text and email than by phone, but that's not an issue in these modern times. No hesitation to recommend their service. read more

If I could give less stars I would! I made an appt 7 days ago for a dishwasher repair. I text the lady this morning just to be sure they were coming, and to get a timeframe. She said they could not come today, and that their next appt wasn't until Monday! 6 more days! I asked if there was a way to get someone out sooner, and she said, no, because they work in specific areas of town on certain days. In my opinion, when you have already made a customer wait 7 days, you call ASAP to tell them you are not able to come, not wait for the customer to call! And, you get your next available technician out ASAP even if it's not in a specific area!! Worst service ever! read more

VERY hard to get them to answer the phone and return calls. They came to fix our washer/dryer, told us they fixed it, then later we ran a load and realized it was still broken. We called back and were told the technician would contact us to setup a time. 3 days go by and nothing. We call them back and they then give us a specific time 5 days in the future saying that that was the only time they had availalbe. Very non-chalant about how this too. Will not use them again. read more

They have a 60 day guarantee on their work. Called on Day 61 because the problem came back and they say too bad. I know it's business and they have to set limitations, make a profit, etc. But, it's clear the problem was never properly fixed. If I know I'm wrong in my line of work, I make things right but I guess not everyone has the same moral standards... read more

bottoms appliance repair is in a contractual agreement with (hwa) home warranty of america to bill a trade call fee of $100 to all customers requesting a repair on an appliance. once they enter your home and make a diagnosis of the appliance issue they then try and bill you for a trade call fee above the agreed up on and contractually legal amount of $100.00. bottoms appliance repair entered my home and their repair technician diagnosed my stove as not working and stated the motherboard was bad. he stated that he would have to order the parts and that my trade call fee was $109.75. i informed him that my trade call fee was $100.00 per the terms of my contract with home warranty of america (hwa) and that i have paid this amount for the past 2 years to all vendors who have provided services at my home via my contract with home warranty of america. the owner, sheryl bottoms, has made false and fraudulent statements regarding the state of tennessee and the department of revenue. her business practices are illegal and will be investigated. he business practice is to double dip on not only the client/consumer but also the company in which she has a contractual agreement. the account manager, rachel at home warranty of america has been made aware of bottoms appliance repairs business practice and their illegal billing practices. home warranty can be reached at 1-888-492-7359. (hwa) can reaffirm that the practice of billing tax on top of the trade call fee is not on beyond the scope of the contractual agreement that hwa has with bottoms appliance repair but is also illegal within the current tax code in the state of tennessee. hopefully, the tennessee department of revenue will investigate this business and their illegal tax practices and find that ms. sheryl bottoms owes the clients and customs of tennessee hundreds of thousands of dollars of overcharged fees to the contractual trade call fee she agreed to when she signed up with (hwa) home warranty of america. on a personal side, the way in which ms. bottoms handles customer complaints is not only rude, crude, and bombastic, but also very cavalier towards the person whom has been illegally charged these fees. ms. sheryl bottoms, you are not above the law and the law will prevail. read more
