C AND D APPLIANCE SERVICE NASHVILLE Rip Off Scam - Took my money and never repaired the cooktop. C and D Appliance was assigned to me by my home warranty company. A man came and looked at the Fisher and Paykel cooktop and told me a part would have to be ordered. He said he would call me when the part came in. I waited for 3 weeks and finally called C and D Appliance back. It took several calls to get C and D Appliance to answer the phone. They said the part had been ordered and they did not know when it would come in. I waited for 3 more weeks and called C and D Appliance again several times. They gave me the same story. Finally, 2 months AFTER I HAD PAID C AND D APPLIANCE MY $50 DEDUCTIBLE I contacted the home warranty company to complain. They called C and D Appliance and were told they'd "never received approval to do the repair". Not true. C and D Appliance had told me they already ordered the part! Then C and D Appliance said they would order the part and call me in a week. I waited another week and tried to contact C and D Appliance. No answer, so I called my home warranty company and they looked it up and said the claim had been cancelled. By C and D Appliance? Who knows. Just avoid C and D Appliance! They take your money and don't do the work. I am now waiting on repair company #2 to come over and look at the cooktop that's had a broken burner for 2 months... read more

Chuck did fix our dryer when Home Warranty of America sent him out. The issue was during his repair he removed the drainage hose to the washing machine so he could disconnect and reconnect the dryer hose. Within an hour of him leaving we had water damage in two rooms from the washing machine draining water on the floor and based solely on how the company denied the remote possibility of their involvement and hung up on me when we let them know what happened I have to give them a 1 star. Chuck was nice and did the repair but poor attention to detail (replacing a drainage hose) and a company with zero accountability is one Ill avoid at all cost in the future. read more

Through our homeowner's warranty company, C & D Appliance Service was contracted to repair two items in our home. The microwave oven, and our regular oven. On March 23, 2010, Chuck came to our home. He seemed kind and knowledgeable. He identified the issues, and accepted my check for $65. He said he would call the next day with an update on when the parts would be in. This was the first of many, many calls that would never come. Several times I was told that the part would arrive "next week" and that he would call me back to confirm that. The follow up calls never came. After four full months of waiting, I called yet again. This time it was a woman on the line. I was very careful to never raise my voice or use foul language in dealing with her. I don't believe you'll attract flies with vinegar. Never once did she or Chuck offer an apology for the extreme delay in service, or the poor job of keeping us in the loop with what was going on. Instead, she mockingly said "what do you want me to do, call you morning noon and night? I have over 46 customers I have to deal with." I replied that she didn't need to call me morning noon and night, she need only call me when she had assured me she would. Then she said she was going to call my homeowner's warranty company and refuse to do my service. I stated that with them likely being a big client, she might want to reconsider how she was handling the situation. Then, she hung up on me. I called the homeowner warranty company to alert them to the fact that I had been treated so poorly and that the work was still undone. That's when the real surprise came. It is my understanding that C & D Appliance Service informed my warranty company that the work was already completed. I can only assume that means that they had, in fact, received payment for work that had never happened. I don't fault any company who has to wait for parts from overseas (if that's the case). What I do have a problem with, is the abusive nature with which my family and I have had to deal. read more

If I could give zero (or negative) stars I would. Had Chuck come twice because the problem with my dishwasher he "fixed" the first time caused another problem. Had him come out again to look at that problem and he "fixed" that then it started leaking. I called again. Chuck never answered. No call back. Nothing. Horrible. Horrible. I couldn't have been more pleased with the service we received from C and D Appliance service. I was put in touch with them through Home Warranty of America. They contacted me within minutes of submitting my claim, and were at my home the next business day. Not only did Chuck repair the problem I had, but he did it quickly and cheerfully. Both Chuck and Dawn were a pleasure to deal with and I would gladly call C and D for repairs in the future. read more

So here is an update. I had another, much more reputable, repair man out. The reason it broke again so quickly is that Chuck ordered the wrong part. The original part was not available from the manufacturer due to a design change requiring the installation of an updated part. The updated nor the original are what he ordered. He just ordered a part for another washer and proceeded to TRY to make it work. The part was the water eject motor which is subject to a lot of vibration. Since the part he ordered didn't match up, he drilled a hole in the mounting bracket and used a single screw to attach it with no vibration dampening(the rubber grommets the original pump had). As a result, the vibration caused the one and only screw he put in to back out dumping an entire washer load of water into my floor.This guy is completely inept and does not have the knowledge or experience to do his job properly. After discovering this, I wouldn't let this clown work on a $35 toaster, much less an $800 washer. You have been warned, don't let him screw you over too. read more
