It looks like this coffeeshop is devoted to co-working with office spaces and working stations. Love their mission that funds local non-profits and innovative ideas that reduce infant mortality. Quiet place, good for reading a book, relax and work. They offer free-wifi and have a private parking lot so you can park your car for free. You can also get 10% off speciality drinks through yelp. Cute and cozy coffee shop! Had a simple drip coffee and it was great. I will have to come back to try their rainy day coffee!

I would love to give this place 4-5 stars. - They donate a portion of their earnings to charities that fight infant mortality - They have documented and preserved as much of the building's history as they could - They are helping revitalize the Bottoms - They have unisex restrooms (done the right way) - They have really great homemade empeñadas, variations rotate daily - They are friendly and personable - They are a couple (cute!) Alas, I cannot. - The hours stink - The Wi-Fi stinks (one free hour, then you can sign up for a 30 minute trial, quit working, or leave). I imagine this might be because the space is tiny and the seating limited, but it's not like the Bottoms is bustling with young entrepreneurs seeking a cafe from which to work day in and day out. - Which brings me to the co-working spaces they offer. The furnishings are very cheap, and the weekly and monthly prices ​do not reflect this. Hence, 3/4 of the building sitting unused most days. Three stars is not a bad review! If I didn't like it, I wouldn't keep coming back, and I'd give it two stars. This is a great addition to the cbus coffee scene, but needs a few tweaks to compete with the big boys in the better parts of town. read more

I guess I could rate the Co-Op 5 stars because I support their local mission but I came here to say that I am a bit annoyed with this place! I frequent coffee shops to do my work online, usually spending 2-3 hours a day using wifi while purchasing a few cups of joe in my time spent there. If you are more than a 15minute coffee shop visitor, stay away. I was appalled and frustrated when I set up my portfolio, notebook, laptop and calculator to see that I could only use wifi for an hour. I get it, in the part of town you may get homeless who seek shelter and take advantage of places like this. Possibly it is because the seating area is so small and they don't want customers to clog it up or something. The worst part of only having only an hour of wifi is that they charge you if you want another hour. As I would rather not have to pay for wifi, I wouldn't mind if my wifi cost went to the Co-Op, but no, it goes to the fat corporate pockets of Spectrum. I brought this to the shop owner's attention and he just kind of shrugged it off as whatever. This attitude is enough to guarantee that I will never come back here. read more

Had their golden turmeric latte. I was looking for a latte without sugar. (Which seems impossible nowadays). The barista suggested I try the golden latte without the syrup. &&& It was just what I wanted! So perfect! A warm tasty drink without the added sweetener. I ordered my drink to go but I'll be going back to try their latte flight. Highly recommend this local cafe. They do good in the community so it's a form i can all give back too. read more

A small coffee shop that shares a space with a co-working spot. The shop uses locally roasted beans and features a small cafe menu that includes all the topical drinks plus a few interesting rotating seasonal drinks. The espresso is smooth and strong and goes well in a latte. There is also a small choice of pastries and other breakfast and lunch options. This is for just the cafe space (not the co-working space), and I have to say it is just ok at best. Not a super comfy place to hang out, which is perhaps part of the plan because the cowering area (private offices, meeting rooms, etc) looks very comfy. On a cold day, there wasn't anywhere in the cafe area that wasn't subject to frigid gusts every time a patron opened the door. And, the cafe area needed a good tidying up and cleaning. Coffee offerings were fine, nothing stood out to me about my cappuccino. I didn't see anything appealing to eat, just a few dry looking pastries. All in all, I'd rather hang at my neighborhood Stauf's or The Roosevelt. But the coworking part looks neat! And I like what Bottoms Up is trying to do, and I appreciate them trying to do it in Franklinton. But, I guess I was just expecting more? read more

I really enjoy this coffee corner in Franklinton. It is the coffee spot closest my house, so that already makes me like it. The space is clean and modern in decor. There are work spaces you can rent, and a cooperative coffee card you can get, as well. They have a charitable outlook, and support organizations that provide diapers to people who need them for their children. This brings us to their coffee. I have been there several times. I have had their basic coffee, which is good. I have also had some of their traditional Canary Island coffees, which are very good! I recommend trying them highly. read more

Cute little spot in the Franklinton area! I love discovering new coffee shops and have drove by this place couple times until I finally had the opportunity to stop by during a short lunch break I had. I got two chickapea salad slider for $7, as well as a matcha latte for a reasonable price! This is also a workplace for the community? Not 100% sure about that concept but there's room to sit down and work in the shared space! The atmosphere is relaxing and not loud like some coffee shops can be. I was in and out my first time there but I look forward to stopping by a lot more in the future since I will be working close by! read more

Bottoms Up Coffee Co-op is a really great place to grab a drink, maybe a snack, and get your work-load finished while enjoying a natural-lit casual atmosphere. With the interior consisting of large windows, wood floors, white crown molding, plants, and a couple brick walls this place gives a hipster, yet professional, environment. Though the menu lacks in variety of drinks, hands down the best drink I've had is their signature Canary Islands latte drink. This is best served hot and be sure to stir in the condensed milk mixture at the bottom! This is a wonderfully sweet drink without being too sweet/sugary. Seriously, out of all the sweeter-type lattes I've had around Columbus, including fan favorites from Starbucks, this is the best. Pros: Great interior design, very trendy. Canary latte (leche y leche one) is amazing! Staff is very polite and helpful. And of course, you're helping a great cause by fighting infant mortality in Columbus! Cons: This is a small con I felt as a woman... The area is not that safe in the evening. I typically go during the day between classes and luckily there's a private parking lot but you may run into some interesting characters walking around. I've never felt unsafe but for others who would want to know, W Broad isn't the best location. However, that being said, having a business like Bottoms Up Coffee Co-op will hopefully help develop the area a bit more! read more

This place has been in the works for a while now, so I was super excited to drive past on Wednesday (7/13) and see that they had finally opened! It's a neat business concept -- offering co-working space and/or offices for rent, as well as a coffee shop up front. All proceeds go to help decrease infant mortality rates in Columbus. It's like a reverse mullet; party in the front, business in the rear! You can purchase a membership or pay by the day to use the office space. I imagine this would be great if you are someone starting out with your own small business, or perhaps you usually do a lot of your work in a coffee shop (writing, web design, freelance, etc). For me, I am more interested in the coffee! They don't have a huge menu, but they have the basics; pour over and drip coffee (from Brioso!) and espresso bevs like cappucinos. The small assortment of baked goods included banana bread and lemon bars made by the owners. Who, by the way, are part of the same family that owns El Arepazo! They were super friendly and explained how the co op works and some of the process of remodeling the building. It's an old bank from the early 1900's and it still has a beautiful pressed tin ceiling and refurbished original hardwood floors. The windows facing W. Broad and the skylights really bring in a lot of light. That lemon bar was killer, btw. Great coffee served by lovely people in a beautiful refurbished space for a good cause. This is hands down the best coffee I've had since moving to Columbus. Yesterday I walked through their cute front entrance into a quaint, low key shop with local art, business women and men working in the back office space and a friendly guy behind the counter. I ordered a large caramel latte and the taste was phenomenal. It was significantly cheaper than a Starbucks specialty coffee beverage and tasted 100 x better. The co-op is a safe space for minorities and their process go to stop infant mortality. You can rent office space, private rooms and daily desks. There is also a membership option, but the coffee shop is open to the public. I will be visiting this place as often as I can, and I would give ten stars if I could. read more

I love coming here in the morning when I want a break from corporate coffee! Their coffee drinks are amazingly delicious and keep me well caffeinated for my busy day. The homemade empanadas are the best and the baristas are very friendly. Best of all I know my money is supporting a great local cause. I love this coffee shop and visit it nearly every morning before I go to work. The coffee is so good that I crave it during the weekends and it gives me something to look forward to on Monday mornings when I dread getting up for work. The food is made from scratch and delicious, particularly the empanadas. The cost is extremely competitive with business like Panera and Starbucks who don't make anything from scratch. Bottoms Up is truly a hidden gem in The Bottoms. The owners are so sweet and friendly. One of my biggest gripes about coffee houses is that they are always so cold. Bottoms Up is very comfortable and doesn't cheap out on the heat. If you have a sweet tooth, I recommend The Canary Island. read more
