Flavorful food & fair prices! The crawfish were small. As to be expected this time of the year, but they were perfectly seasoned. We had the brisket nachos, redneck oysters, crawfish, and the pontchartrain platter with shrimp, crab, mushrooms, potatoes, and corn. The table shared banana pudding (delicious texture) for dessert. I had an itch that needed scratching. Stopped at Bou-Shay's Cajun Smokehouse up the road from the house. Made it during Happy hour and was not disappointed! Had a Mango Margarita(ok I had 2) which is one of my favorite flavors. Boudin egg rolls were crunchy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. The boudin link was super thick and big! Fried mushrooms were nice and crispy. Robby Watkins ordered chicken and sausage gumbo with extra sausage and he said it was delicious. Shelby and I shared the 5lb , 2 potato, 1 corn $24.99 special and it was really good. Some good size mudbugs. We went with the standard spice level instead of extra spicy. If you like Cajun food this is a wonderful non-chain spot to get some great eats. If you sit at bar the bartenders have always been spot on with the beverages and Greta food suggestions. Been really wanting to try this place. The food did not disappoint!! The boudain balls were huge! Softball size. The cheese in the middle was like a cheese stick. They were really good! I also got the Funky Monkey. It was delicious. Could only eat a half of it. The BBQ was actually pretty tasty on the burger! All in all, I'll definitely be back. Found this place scouring social media for early in the season crawfish. So happy to have found it! We love that this place has outdoor seating!! Inside is really big too. We were meeting a few people, so we called ahead to reserve a table outside. They were kind enough to do so! We all ordered the crawfish-spicy and the snow crab and it was delicious not so spicy that our noses were running but spicy enough! The crawfish were small but we knew this going in so it was of no surprise to us! We also ordered beer and wine. The website says bring your ice chest but that has changed apparently per the waitress. The wine situation was "different". Our waitress said all wine is in a box. (Botabox) she did find they had at least 1 red wine by the bottle which is what I ordered. She said you used to be able to bring a bottle but not anymore. This was no big deal but I will check in the future to be prepared. We had a great time, great service, nice and clean. Masking required and people were masking. Our waitress was having a bit of an issue with her mask falling beneath her nose a few times but we felt everything was handled well. We will definitely be back, I saw so many things on the menu I want to try!!! However the snow crab and crawfish were a great price on this beautiful Sunday afternoon! read more

I came after work wanted crawfish, I heard great things. I sat at the bar was never greeted over 15 minutes and a waitress passed by handed me a menu and kept going. The girl behind the bar passed me up twice. Another waitress asked have I been helped I said no. So I get this kid behind the bar who's telling me it's his second day. I asked him to get the girl who passed me twice so he did. She walked up looking at the boy co worker like why you ain't help her, she asked if I know what I want. Mind you I been sitting 25 minutes now. I asked her about the crawfish she told me the special and spice levels but she act like I'm bothering her, and plus they only have beer and wine so I politely told her thank you and left. The previous business Lonestar would have never gave such horrible service. I may try them again but no time soon. read more

Cheese sticks were not melted on the inside. Ok no biggie asked to have them reheated. Brisket queso was not good. The biggest disappointment was the chicken and sausage gumbo. Awesome spot! Being at both locations, I prefer this one. We sat outside. We found out that this and LaPorte are two different owners per our server. She was great, btw. Felicity was her name, I believe. She was accommodating and friendly. We got the Spring break special, extra spicy. The crawfish are a nice size. I love the shrimp, too, it's spicier, IMO. This special included 2 large crab clusters and a bucket of beer. I missed the crab at the other location, because they forgot and we were already full. But, if you like to crack crab legs, don't miss these. They were huge, thank you my hubby for cracking mine. You can't beat that on a beautiful sunny Saturday. This did offer beer and wine. It looks like it's also BYOB, so you pick. I'm picky and like spicy, so this hits the mark in this area. It's also a smokehouse and the potato I saw was giant. As long as I can eat spicy shrimp, crab, and crawfish, this is our go-to. Next time I'll up the spice a bit more. read more

This was the WORST restaurant I have ever been too. The customer service was terrible. I was served by Bailey and she had the worst attitude that I have ever experienced. I went there for crawfish and I ordered two pounds and it was literally less than 20 crawfish on my tray, I brought this to her attention and before I couldn't even finish my sentence before she cut me off and replied "what do you want me to do about it", so of course I asked for the manager and the manager who's name is Megan was worst than Bailey. The manager did nothing to accommodate me, her response was " what do you want for me to do because I have better things to do" I was truly appalled! I myself work in retail and I've been in retail for 5 years I have never talked to anyone like this ! They have poor people skill and I will never return here. If I could give them no stars I would. This place is now called Bou-Shays. I ordered two of there 5lb boiled crawfish specials to go. I arrived to pick it up and grabbed the bag noticing how light weight it was. I pulled the two bags out and it was very noticeable to be 3lbs at best. Told the staff and they came back with 10lbs. Wonder how many times that happen with inexperienced eyes. The crawfish themselves were spot on with flavor. But I was only able to salvage 5lbs of the 10lbs I purchased because they were extremely overcooked. The shells were very soft and mushy, and the meat just fell into pieces when you were lucky enough to pull some out. Won't be back for crawfish. read more

Holy cow, this place is GOOD! Got the 2-meat platter with pork ribs and moist brisket. The ribs are seasoned perfectly and fall off the bone. The brisket is excellent. After waiting a few minutes at the hostess stand before even being acknowledged. Was seated set there for over 10 minutes finally had to ask a busboy for a menu. Order the brisket nachos which were okay followed by the cowboy pizza was good boiled shrimp was good and boiled crab legs. The crab legs were overcooked and the majority of the legs did not have any meat in them the server had never come by for me to tell her. When I finally got her attention she said okay came back and said her manager told her that since I had eaten most of the crab they were going to take off $10. Disappointed that the manager herself never came by our table to check and see what the situation was also was served very bad tea so we had to have that taken off the check all said and done it was $70 for food that we really did not enjoy it's a shame it we won't be going back to this place and I'm also reviewing this as a restaurant manager myself read more
