    Baked Beans

First time here and let me tell you as a gal from out of state, the deliciousness that hits you when you walk in is memorable! Inside has a plethora of booths and tables, as well as a banquet area for small and large parties alike. The hubster and I shared their two meat platter with a side of mashed potatoes and baked beans. It was plenty for us to share and beyond delicious! The staff is over the top friendly and we were asked frequently if we would like more, or refills. This was a chance place for us to experience and I am oh so glad we did. Thank you Red River BBQ for the wonderful hospitality!

I was really looking forward to trying this place after seeing the reviews and photos on Yelp, but unfortunately my experience didn't live up to the hype. I ordered the two-meat plate with ribs, jalapeño cheese sausage, and sides of potato salad, broccoli & cheese rice casserole. The sides were actually very good--great flavor and generous portions--no complaints there. The mains, however, were a huge disappointment. For a $28 plate, I left feeling like I'd been ripped off. The ribs were thin, dry, and not juicy at all. The skin was so tough that I ended up giving the last two ribs to my dogs. The jalapeño cheese sausage had good flavor, but the casing was overcooked, hard, and dry, so I didn't finish that either. Another big letdown was the barbecue sauce. I paid extra for two additional sauces, and I wish I hadn't. The sauce was extremely sweet--so sweet that it didn't pair well with the barbecue at all. I know everyone has their own preferences when it comes to sauce, but this one lacked balance. I ended up using some leftover Rudy's sauce I had with me, and it honestly worked much better. I haven't left a bad review in a long time, and I'm disappointed because the restaurant looks great from the outside, the inside ambiance is nice, and the staff seemed friendly. I was really hoping to find a solid barbecue spot on this side of town, but unfortunately, this wasn't it. I definitely won't be returning!

Recommended this place and I loved it. The water was nice & cold, Mac & cheese just right. Rubs were sooo good. Service was fast & food came out hot. Everyone who ordered salads enjoyed how fresh they were. The temperature was good and cool inside, I really enjoyed my meal on a hot summer day.

My mother in law loves this place. I've always had it from take out when she orders to go. Finally was able to try it out in person. My wife and I ordered the 3 meat combo and chicken fried steak. Food came out hot, fresh and delicious. We enjoyed every bite of it. Chicken fried steak was on point, batter to me was perfect! They do have daily specials but I didn't get a chance to snap a photo of the menu. Will definitely be back to try the rest of their menu. Come show your support if you're in the area!

Today is Thursday, my Mother's Birthday. We reserved a private room for a party of 20+ people for a buffet style lunch party. The food included: BBQ Chicken, Brisket, Mac and cheese, Mashed potatoes, Gravy, Veggies, and Bread. I have to say, their brisket was soooo good! I also have to give huge props to their staff! Making sure all the food was hot and filled drinks promptly. Definitely recommend for dining parties of 20+ people or just dining for 2, food and service is top tier.

The brisket stuffed baked potato. Humongous!!!

Thursday I was standing in the middle of the road waiting to cross when a cop pulled over: "You okay?" "Yeah, just trying to get to Papa Delta Blues." He let me go. Legend. Worth every soggy shoe. Night 1: Brisket sold out after 8pm. American Airlines had only fed me one biscotti all day so I was feral. Waiter recommended the ribeye with mushroom sauce -- the good stuff from the Pappas family legacy, where the cows apparently have better résumés than most people. It arrived and I almost cried. He even sliced a piece to confirm medium rare like a steak sommelier. Sides were ridiculous. Went back ordered ribeye again. Did it plain. Did it with onions. Creamed corn changed my life. Staff is suspiciously nice. Brisket never stood a chance. This ribeye (and the walk) owns me now. Official Webster steak pilgrimage site. 10/10 would walk through a monsoon and traffic again!

When I walked in, the place was clean and the aroma of BBQ was smelling really good in the air. The decor was very nice and the owner was even nicer and very welcoming. I went in there only looking for ribs because I have found that a really good rib is hard to find, however, the ribs here were very tasty, a little pricey, but very good. I always say that I don't mind paying extra when the food is as good as the money spent for it. Now, let me tell you that I only purchased a pound of ribs and a quart of Mac and cheese and the M&C was also good. I believe that the young man helping behind the counter was the owner's son so that tells me that the business is family owned, can't go wrong with that. The other sides looked delicious as well but I was not really that hungry for other dishes. I will go back and try the other items on the menu at another time. Now that I know where it is, it will be easy peasy to get there again. Once again, I forgot to take a picture of the food but I will when I go back. You can ask to see the piece of rib before they cut it for you and they will happily oblige (patrons behind you might not be so thrilled with that move, but they'll live). Sides were excellent as were the mashed potatoes with white gravy on the side, green beans that were just tender enough, but also a bit crunchy. Perfect. They were seasoned with pork, so if that's not your thing, you might want to skip it. We also ordered their shareable onion rings, easily enough for three people that were huge, hot, and crispy. Let's get this out of the way, some of their prices are a little up there, but if you're anything like me, and don't frequent BBQ places often, it's a rare but enjoyable treat. Sometimes you have to splurge and live a little. Also, they have their regular sauce on tables, but you now have to ask the cashier for their sublime coffee BBQ sauce. Don't be shy, ask. It's worth it. Oh, pro tip: If you want beef ribs, the 'plate' is actually cheaper and a better deal than 'by the pound', so save a little money and get two sides.
