    Onion Rings

Sadly, this placed missed it for me. Don't get me wrong, the staff was very welcoming and nice upon arrival. It seemed odd when we came for dinner there was only one other table in there being used. It was my first time. I opted for the smoked turkey and pulled bbq with onion rings. I enjoyed the onion rings the most. The meat was lacking portion size for a dinner plate. The bbq was dry. I could not eat the bbq sauce. It tasted like sugared ketchup. The restaurant itself is cute and nostalgic looking. It was clean, just wish the food was better. I was excited to find a bbq spot nearby, but this was not it for me.

Unbelievable BBQ! You can tell they take pride in their food and hospitality. We came right when it opened and they greeted us warmly. We had never been there before as we were just passing through and they were so sweet to give us a sample plate of their meats. Omg, everything was delicious. They really put hard work into the food. It was just fall off the bone, tender, juicy meat. The mac n cheese- to die for. The potato salad- ugh I could eat a whole tub. Don't even get me started on the warmed BBQ sauce- are you kidding me? Why didn't I think of that? My family absolutely loved every dish that we ordered- there were no leftovers. Sad that it is over and that we might never pass through again, but if we do, I will always choose this place.

I just ordered a two meat barbecue plate from Dickinson barbecue on my Favor app. The portions were smaller than I expected. I thought I was getting sausage and brisket, but I got brisket and pulled pork. I poured the container of what I thought was barbecue sauce over the meat, but it turned out to be some kind of gravy. Completely ruined the flavor. I'm very disappointed. I think I will order from Spring Creek BBQ next time.

We were craving for some bbq and we tried this place. The inside was spacious, clean and aesthetically pleasing while the service was great! Here is what we ordered that we enjoyed: Brisket Basket with fries Chopped Brisket with masked potatoes and beans Soup of the day : Chicken Dumplings Drinks: Sweat Tea Dessert: Banana Pudding We will be a returning customer for sure!

Tenderloin medallions, mashed potatoes with brown gravy, and mac n cheese.

It's been the longest cold snap of our short winter and hubby was craving a bowl of chili. We checked online and the menu said they have it seasonally so we took a chance and drove out. The chili was amazing! The new recipe with the smoked ground beef really made a difference and set it apart from other chili. I decided to splurge and order the tenderloin medallions, and those are melt in your mouth tender and seasoned to perfection. The steak butter that comes with it is to die for. The portion was perfect for me. For my sides I ordered the famous mac n cheese and mashed potatoes with brown gravy and everything was perfect. We ended up getting three pieces of cake to go. The carrot cake, Italian cream, and chocolate were all delicious. This was our second time eating in and I just love the decor. I never get tired of looking around at the Knick knacks they have everywhere. Every person who has helped us has been absolutely delightful. I think we've found our go to BBQ place. It's locally owned and operated and you can tell they make the food from scratch. No corners are cut here and you can tell by how fantastic the food is. 15/10.

Three meat plate with turkey ribs and jalapeño sausage.

First time here and the standout is definitely the employees!! Everyone is so friendly and helpful, manager did a table touch and several said goodbye. Just stellar. Place is clean and well laid out, standard Texas Bbq decor. I ordered the 3 meat plate with turkey jalapeño sausage and ribs. All were good but I liked the sausage the best - great balance of heat and flavor. Turkey was very moist and ribs were flavorful. Brother had brisket which he thought was a bit dry but loved the turkey. Coleslaw was good as was bbq sauce (reg not mild). Twice baked potato was like a warm potato salad which I wasn't crazy about. Brother had beans and said they were great. He didnt care for the creole corn tho. We will come back to try other items as they offer pork chops, fish fry, chicken fried steak, burgers and more along with many other sides as well as desserts.

Smoked turkey breast- the kids took a few pieces before I could take a photo lol

We've always ordered to go/drive thru but was finally able to go inside to pick up my party pack order. The inside was super clean and everyone was friendly. I love that it felt so homey in there- next time we will eat inside the restaurant! Like I said I've always ordered everything to go and never had issues- from their burgers, chicken fried steak, Mac and cheese and brisket. My hubby just celebrated a milestone bday and wanted to invite a few friends over so I thought a value pack from here was a great idea. I chose #6 which was supposed to serve 17-20 people. It came with: 8 1/2 Lbs. Meat (2 choices) 1 Gallon Potato Salad 1 Gallon Beans (baked or pinto) 1/2 Gallon Cole slaw I chose brisket and smoked turkey breast for my meats and was told I can make changes to the side. So I chose Mac n cheese- so creamy and deliciously cheesy! The potato salad I orders had a nice tang to it, baked beans had a nice flavor, the fixings that came- bbq sauce, jalapeños, pickles, onions, loaf of bread were plenty. I also orders some jalapeno bread loaf- try it with the smoked turkey breast- sooo good!! The meats were both cooked perfectly! I forgot to take pictures of all the food but everything was ready at my requested time pick up and the generous portion of food was neatly packed and piping hot. All our friends, some out of towners raved about the food. And of course the birthday boy loved it! Highly recommend this place! Super family friendly folks, food is consistently great! Thank you!

I see the giant pickle man in the distance, then a thud of a big footstep. I hide in the bathroom and make a plan. My car is the parking lot which the pickle man is in. Then i see the utility closet, I look inside for anything I can use. A old broom is like a diamond in the rough to me. I grab it, head outside and hit the pickle thing in the balls. It collapsed in pain and died after 5 minutes I was the hero. Yummy food.

We sat by the wine cellar/private dining room and were graciously served by Amanda. Our table ordered the goddess pasta (you can add shrimp or chicken) and the elote ravioli (as suggested by Amanda). After checking out pics of elote ravioli on yelp, I knew what I would order. I considered adding the grilled watermelon salad, I'll save that for next time! The elote ravioli's presentation was beautiful!! Check out the flowers and the garnishes in the pic. The flavors were a delightful mix of spice and richness (not too much of either IMO). Amanda made a great traditional margarita for my mom (sweet price at $10). Wine by glass and bottles are priced well. Dessert was interesting; we ordered the smoked bread pudding. It usually sells out quickly, so glad we got to try it. I am unsure if I would order that one again (especially bc I want to try the other ones), but it was really interesting and made me think of smoking foods differently.

Our table also had the East Coast oysters. As expected, East Coast oysters tend to run smaller, but these seemed even smaller than usual. That said, they were still fresh and tasty. The deviled eggs were decent, but with how phenomenal some of the other dishes were, it's probably not something I'd order again. The butter served with the bread deserves a mention because it was excellent. The poke bowl was another standout, and the wontons were perfectly crispy. Service timing was a little slower than expected, but the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the meal. I went back and forth between 4 and 5 stars mainly because of the exterior surroundings. The inside is very nice, but the outside atmosphere initially makes you second guess whether you're at a higher-end steak restaurant. In the end though, the food quality won me over. The meal itself was excellent, and I'd absolutely come back.

At the entrance doors, you can see the attached bar called, "The Hideout." There are these very tacky wooden mermaid statues that made me raise an eyebrow. The outside decor seemed more fitting of a tourist spot on Seawall than a more upscale dining experience. I suppose the place is meant to be a combination of the two so in that regard, they were on theme. Just threw me off that's all. On the other hand, there are a lot of parking spots. The inside atmosphere looked a lot better. There were lots of seating with large windows that spanned half the restaurant looking out on the water which let in natural light. Service was good, staff were kind and conversational. I got the 6 oz filet ($49), mac & cheese ($15), & the broccolini with bernaise, shallots, buttered breadcrumbs, & serrano ham ($17), and the strawberry basil cocktail (I don't recall the price, perhaps ~$16). We were given complimentary popovers and butter to start, which was a pleasant break from usual bread options from other establishments. I ordered my steak medium rare but it came out medium well and SUPER FIBROUS. It took so much effort to cut into it. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it but it was incredibly bland and disappointing. My friends ordered other steak dishes cooked at the same requested temperature, including the 16 oz bone-in filet ($92), but did not have a similar experience. My friends thought I was exaggerating initially when I complained, but when they tried my steak they said even the best part of my steak did not compare to the worst bite of theirs. At that price point, I was very unsatisfied because it essentially tasted well done which isn't my preference. The price really rubbed the salt in the wound though. Per my friends, the 16 oz bone-in filet was good but not anything to write home about. The side dishes were made with good quality ingredients and well seasoned. When it comes to mac & cheese, I can be a bit of a critic but this met my basic standards. The sides were on par with other good restaurants I've went to but nothing unique or notable. The mac & cheese & broccolini serrano were not so great that I would seek out this restaurant again to eat them again though. I did enjoy their strawberry basil cocktail though; it did not taste incredibly alcohol forward. Overall, I'm glad I got to try one of the most popular spots on the island but I don't see myself returning or recommending it to others.

There was also a manager I believe who came by our table and checked in on us occasionally. He was friendly and informative. The atmosphere and theming of this chain is great. There's always something new to look at and each booth feels well enclosed but still open enough to see the rest of the restaurant. I could see this place being overstimulating for some but, but for me, the music was at the right volume and nothing was too distracting from my experience. It was also nice to see the severs participate in a line dance randomly in the middle of the restaurant, as well as someone being celebrated for their birthday. I wasn't aware of traditions like that before visiting and it left a much more memorable experience than somewhere like Logan's Roadhouse. The food was excellent. Those rolls are to die for! I ordered the grilled salmon. While this is a steakhouse, I was impressed with the quality of the salmon. It had the perfect texture and combination of flavors. The lemon butter not so much. Wasn't my thing, I much prefer the one offered at Floyds Seafood. My side proportions were good and I was left full by the end. The restaurant uses a tablet for things like a digital menu, games, etc. like many other chain sit-downs. It did its job, though I do prefer the game selection on the one at Chilli's/Olive Garden. Pricing was solid. None of our items were too awfully expensive. I will be going back to this location in the future! 4.5/5
