I purchased a new GE Profile oven and a GE French Door Refrigerator through Bouchard Pierce in Essex Vermont. From purchase through Julia Cozza to the delivery, was an exceptional experience. Julia handled my multitude of questions with concern and clarity. The delivery was spot on time, gave me a call 15 minutes out. I live in a very old house with narrow doorways and steep steps. Jack and Ray delivered these appliances after many measurements, without any complaints as to the difficulty. Took off my doors with great care and hauled these heavy appliances up my narrow back steps weaving around a railing where there was not 1/4 inch to spare. They took care and time with all aspects, from Jack showing me tips of how to use the induction range to Ray making sure I was careful about putting frozen food into the freezer before it was at the temperature required. I truly valued their help and most important to me, was their attitude of concern towards me, the homeowner and the respect it reflected towards Bouchard Pierce. We recently decided to purchase a Bertazzoni induction range from Bouchard-Pierce rather than a less expensive online retailer to support local business. While the sales staff and installation teams were both friendly and knowledgeable, we have now had the worst customer service experience I've had in decades. Fair warning! In less than 5 weeks, a knob broke on the range making the burner inoperable. It's now been over 7 weeks since we reported it and we are yet to get it fixed. In the interim, another knob has broken. We are out $6k and the customer service team could honestly care less. Their communication has been basically nonexistent and the two times we've had to call to follow up, the sales rep was incredibly rude, interrupting me constantly and passing the buck on down the line to anyone she could think of- throwing her sales team under the bus, blaming Bertazzoni, and basically telling us that neither she nor Bouchard-Pierce were remotely responsible. I run a global customer success and services team and if any of my colleagues treated a customer the way we've been treated, they'd be terminated immediately. While I understand that there are constraints in any system, I know what decent customer service looks like and this is NOT IT. I hate that I can't recommend these folks because I am a very loyal local business supporter but this has been a truly terrible experience. read more

Charging without showing up?! Bouchard-Pierce demanded a payment for a repair 4+ weeks in advance of scheduling a visit, let alone looking at my appliance, let alone doing any work. But don't you worry, their techs are certified! Never seen honest repairmen do business this way (crooks - yes). read more

I like the prices--comparable, sometimes even better than the big bad boxes. I like that they are locally owned and operated. The staff know their stuff and are friendly and helpful. However, sometimes it is hard to get someone to help you. They often seem a little understaffed. Also, the wait time on service for appliances purchased there is a little long. I've waited well over a week to get my washer looked at and even longer for the part to come in. So that's a little frustrating. But it is a great alternative to buying from Lowes, Home Depot, etc. read more

We have shopped at Bouchard-Pierce for home appliances for many years, always with excellent results. Most recently, we completed two big projects with them: First, we replaced our 28-year-old "laundry center" with an LG stackable washer/dryer combo that they recommended (and that were also the #1 recommendations in Consumer Reports). Our home is small, and our laundry room is even smaller (a closet, really). Clearances all over the house are measured in fractions of an inch. They determined that the LG system would in fact fit, with 1/8" clearance at the top and 1 1/2" clearance on the sides, removed our old appliance (which had to be partially disassembled to get it out), and got our machines installed. Second, we replaced our kitchen counter with quartz, using a pattern/color style they recommended, which turned out beautifully. Halfway through the counter install, their subcontractor's supervisors came by and helped their installers correct a small error to ensure a perfect installation. (Our own contractor installed our new sink, and did the site prep for both jobs.) We highly recommend Bouchard-Pierce for any appliance upgrade or kitchen remodel, and for anything else you need that they provide. read more

No complaints with service or products but when I went into the service department at the Essex location this morning to pick up a part I ordered, three service employees were together in a room and were not wearing masks. Governor Scott's mandate from last April states that employees must wear masks in the presence of others. Please wear the masks, folks! Thanks. We recently bought a range from Tom at Bouchard-Pierce. Following delivery, we had some complications with our kitchen, and Tom was incredibly helpful and patient with us. The range ended up working wonderfully, as expected. Working with a vendor dedicated to customer service provided us will a lot of piece of mind in making significant decisions and purchases. My fridge/freezer decided to die yesterday, squarely in the thick of the Coronavirus quarantine. I had no idea what we were going to do. We went to Lowes, but they could not get one delivered for at least three weeks. Same story from Home Depot and Best Buy. This morning, I called Bouchard-Pierce at around 9:30 and told them of my dilemma. Although their showroom was closed, within 1/2 an hour, they had sent me photos of the items in stock that met my specifications, gave me quotes and model numbers and answered all my questions. I researched the items and picked one out. Within an hour of telling them which one I'd chosen, they had it to my house. Their delivery guys were awesome. They were friendly and helpful. They took the old one out, cleaned up the space (22 years of dust and other detritus under my fridge) and installed the new one. All in all, a pretty amazing experience, especially given all the uncertainty of this time of crisis. 5 stars!!! read more

We own an apartment rental and the washer died suddenly, we needed to get the tenant a new one ASAP, and needed it to be hooked up and dispose of the new one. We checked with some of the big box stores around and they said it would take at least 3 weeks, but we called up Bouchard Pierce and they had a new one installed within a couple days and it cost less than the big box stores! We've been customers of Bouchard-Pierce for almost forty years and have purchased every appliance we've ever owned from them. Over time they have worked to keep their prices compatitive with the box stores so who wouldn't deal locally??? Also re-did our kitchen a couple of years ago and got competitive pricing and GREAT design from their team. This week our fridge had a problem and the team at B-P had a technician on-site in a few hours. They actually delivered a "loaner" fridge until the part came in, and then they realized they had a part in a floor model that would work and brought that out and installed it. We were up and running in one day! I will never deal with box stores when we have a place like Bouchard-Pierce available. read more

My neighbor had a beautiful kitchen designed by Bouchard Pierce. They had Candleight Cabinets and I was so impressed with the quality. So when we were building our house that's where I went...big mistake. Cabinets are beautiful as well as my soapstone counters. However, my desk came in at cabinet height, that went back to get corrected. They never asked the height of the baseboard which resulted in a bank of drawers being too wide, another item that had to go back to be adjusted,the fridge was too big for the opening so I'm stuck with a small fridge and need to buy a chest freezer for storage. The cabinets by the fridge don't open all the way so they gave us upper cabinets...never wanted upper cabinets but I needed the space! I was supposed to have a pantry cabinet but when I asked where the microwave was going, the pantry cabinet got scrapped and I ended up with an upper and lower cabinet with a microwave in between that when you open it, it boxes you in. I will take responsibility for having blind faith. I'll give them credit for trying to make amends by trying to fix what they could. But really they didn't sell me a kitchen, they sold me cabinets... No vision whatsoever. Run don't walk! read more

I just read through the reviews and I was very surprised that there were any negative reviews. Whenever we have entered the store, we have been greeted and we have received excellent support. Also, when we asked about products rated in Consumer Reports, they were very knowledgeable about the reliability and service record of each appliance. They had a great selection, matched or beat prices at local box stores, and ordered/delivered all of our new kitchen appliances within one week. This place is an absolute rip-off. Just purchased a belt for a dryer at the cost of $16 when the exact same part sells online between $4 & $6. I only bought it at this price because I needed it ASAP. How pathetic is that. Then the woman that sold it to me said they can't even buy them for $6. She is a liar. And these smaller places wonder why the big companies are driving them out of business. I have been shopping at BP for over 10 years. I have found the staff to be extremely knowledgeable and professional! They are not pushy and truly listen to find the best appliance for me. I don't ever comment on these pages but I noticed the low review and was shocked. But having worked in sales in the past I know you cant make some people happy no matter what you do. What a great business. Tom and Bob went way beyond what was normal in helping us after we had a fire that destroyed our stove and microwave.
