2025 update.. I've been coming here for years, and honestly, they never miss. Prices are super reasonable and there's no upselling, which I love. Lauren is my go-to, she's the BEST with my ingrown and always takes her time. Michelle is so sweet and friendly, and all the ladies here are just really kind. The vibe is always relaxed and welcoming. I always leave feeling good and my toes always look nice and pretty. This place is definitely one of my favorites. read more

Visiting family and I really needed a spot to get an acrylic full set and a pedicure. This place had decent reviews and the ladies were so kind and welcoming, but the services slacked. It hasn't even been a week (only been 4 days) and already 3 of my acrylics fell off. Although I have short nail beds, I've been getting acrylics on and off for the past 14 years and I've never had them fall off this fast. After I got home... I even had to file and re-shape them because of how uneven each nail was. The acrylics have no base curve and they're all flat and thin. They also weren't fully filled to the cuticle of the nail. So overall I don't think acrylics are really their specialty. My pedicure.. I got the higher end pedicure option with the callus remover and I left with my feet still rough on the bottoms. The polish was nicely done but I wish I just got the basic pedicure. Sadly won't be going back, even to get my nails fixed. 2 stars because of how nice the ladies were and the polish was. read more

I am so thankful I found this spot through Yelp. Trust me when I say I had done my research and glad I finally chose this place All the technicians are friendly which is evident by their loyal customers. Saying I am self conscious about getting my nails done is an understatement. Some of my nails beds are bumpy and all my fingernails grow differently (upward, downward, straight) and having eczema and psoriasis causes my cuticles to be challenging to clean. With that said, I can't say enough compliments to Loan. She is extremely meticulous and took her time cleaning all of my nails. Never did I feel her rush through the process and even when I could tell I had tired her out she remained gracious. First time here, and the ladies here were so sweet. I called around 2pm Monday and asking about walk in for mani and pedi and they let me know 3pm. Parking is fine compared to all the other shops around in that plaza, had no problem parking right up front and it was 3pm on a Monday. I came in and the lady upfront greeted me and knew my name. She let me know to pick a color and someone will help me... i could not find the basket of colors for my life but finally found it in the corner... i think the accent makes it a little tough but they definitely were understanding with me. I definitely appreciate them for what they do and fitting me in. I think Nina was the one who did my nails and she did amazing... mind you I had like over grown fake nails on and she was gentle with me and took her time to take them off for me. This has quickly become a go-to nail spot for me - even though there's another nail salon right across the street from me! They take their time and the quality of my manicures is great! My gel manicures always last a full 2 weeks minimum (if not more). I also had a full set of acrylic nails done and a freak accident left my pinky nail broken before a wedding I was attending as a guest. I called and they squeezed me in to fix my pinky nail. I have been living here in bonita for years. And it's my first time coming here. I loved it. I only waited like 10 minutes and honestly it's super clean, neat, nice & made me feel welcomed. I was looking for a bright yellow color and I found it. They did my nails very well done! This is going to be my new spot! Prices are a little bit above average but it's worth it. They have plenty of colors and different options. I do powder on my own nail with gel. Can't wait to come back tomorrow! There's plenty of parking there and there's little shops you can eat like ever bowl, Subway and much more. They have complementary water and also am ATM machine. Compared to other nails places the workers here are polite and friendly. And they try to make you wait the least they can. read more

This nail salon is very dirty and everything should be sanitized. I had a nail technician by the name of Nicole, which is an older woman close to my age. I had the worst pedi/mani I have ever had. She used old clear & undercoat polishes from her cart rather than from the wall. She seemed to be very unhappy with her job and didn't take any time at all to make it a nice experience. Maybe the younger girls might do a better job, but I still not recommend it. read more

i just left the Nail Spot and it's relevant to share what a positive experience I had. Jenny, Nicki, and Valerie had me laughing from start to finish. Nicki did my pedicure and Valerie did my manicure -- gifts to celebrate my 60 birthday. The souls of these three shine bright. They took me in before my scheduled appointment (plus), the mani/pedi combo looks beautiful (plus), the massage chair kneaded my back (plus), the place is hygienic (plus), and they kidded around with my sweetheart whenever he came in. I have a disability which means getting out is a real treat, and this team made it a royal treatment. BONUS ... Jenny's client Judith is making bracelets. Judith is another loving soul. Her husband Ray has Alzheimer's so the bracelets give her something to do. She hasn't named her side hustle yet, but Jenny has them on display ($20 each) and I went home with mine. I absolutely love this nail salon!! I relocated for a job and was searching for a nail place as I love getting gel manicures and pedicures. After finding The Nail Spot, I stopped searching!!! The people are super sweet and always making sure they have enough time for their clients. The gel manicures last the entire two weeks, even three if you can push it. The gel pedicures last me a whole month and possibly even more. They have amazing colors for whatever you are going for. I definitely recommend trying this place out! I've been to many different nail salons that I loved for my hands but couldn't find a go to pedicure salon and I finally found it! Loanne gave me the best pedicure I've ever gotten, not only did she give the best massage but she also left my feet looking the cleanest they've ever looked. FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I moved to SD in January and have yet to find my new nail salon. I don't know how many I've been to. 8? 9? 10? It was all worth it to find The Nail Spot. I called in the morning to ask for two appts at 5:00pm for a girls night with my bestie. We arrived and it looks like your typical small nail salon, nothing fancy. I wasn't really sure what to expect. But the Pedicure Gods have answered my prayers and sent me the angel named Loanne. She was so incredibly thorough. I have been BEGGING other nail techs to trim the skin. They never do. They say that they do but I can see and feel that they don't. My toes leave looking pretty but not feeling CLEAN or like all the extra skin has been clipped. Not Loan. Loan is the best! She dug out all the extra skin from the depths of my soul. I am so impressed, happy, THRILLED. My toes look and feel amazing. This is my new place. She is my girl. See you soon Loanne :) read more

I just got my nails done and I have to say I'm very impressed with the ladies!!.. Michelle did my full set acrylics and loanns did my pedicure.. they did an awesome job.. attention to details are pristine!! They took their time to really make sure my nails are exactly what i wanted... I called them to do a walk-in and they catered me at once. No waiting or anything..which is a plus for me. Last time I went the service was good and ladies were friendly. The only downside is that it's so hard to get an appointment and they rarely are able to take walk ins when I've tried. It's hard when you're a busy mom who can only fit in self care when you have a little window here and there. read more

Having moved here from Orange County I have struggled to find a place and nail girl I love! I came here last week before my bday and trip to Hawaii and gave it a shot. Luanne (spelling?) did my gel pedicure and did an amazing job! She took good care of my callouses, gave a good massage and was very attentive. The whole pedicure was amazing! My gel is holding well and not lifting. (Issue I'd had other places). They were all very friendly and it's a small place so not tons of people. My toes held up well in Hawaii and still looking good! No. Just no. Old nail polish. Exfoliated my feet with a nail filer? It hurt. Filing job crooked and obvious. She messed up on nail by touching the paint, instead of redo she slaps more paint on the mess-up. Didn't clean under nails. 20 bucks for all of this... I shoulda done it myself and boughten myself somethin worth 20 bucks! read more

You know your place is good when it's literally called "The Nail Spot". I always make an appointment because they are continuously busy and it's never a guarantee you will be seen. Twice I've walked in and they were busy as all get out. I went to them because of my experience at INails down the street. I felt at home and well taken care of. I showed her the design I wanted and she was at least honest and said she would try her best. I couldn't make up my mind and she was super patient. We ended up doing something simple and cute. When it came time to pay I was shocked because they don't try to rip you off. This place came highly recommended and now I know why. read more

I detoured from my usual spot to cut down time from a busy day. I went to my second eyebrow threading place and needed a pedicure. This place came up as a top spot and was next door to my brow place. It's a small nail salon. Nothing fancy about it. A bit dated from the ones I normally choose. I tried looking past it. Went in and was able to sit right away. Nice older lady did my pedicure but this was not my best pedicure. She just soaked my feet in plain hot water. Showed me the prices on an old paper pamphlet. They need updates ones or laminated ones. The whole process of the pedicure was not good. It did not give me that spa feel. I'm pretty sure I do a better job. The polish was cute though. I know for sure I'll be going for another pedicure in 2 weeks. Next time I'm just going to stick with my usual. read more

I came here before and had a manicure with Michelle and she was great. Went back here on May 22nd at 12pm to have a pedicure. I forgot who my nail technician was but I remember her being nice. The reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because, the lady really dug into my big toe. I believe I might have had an ingrown but she also saw how hurtful it was and she even looked at me and started laughing and smiling saying, "it hurts?" Well yeah -_- but continued. I admit it's part my fault, I should have told her to stop. It's June 30th and my toe still looks like this though, I thought it'd go away but it hasn't. I hope she didn't cause an infection -_- read more

Haven't had time to write a review in a while,but this place deserved one. Nini did my Pedicure she was absolutely wonderful and kind took her time wasn't rushed. I didn't feel like they were trying to kick me of the chair to work on to to the next client. Most places now a days rush to do the work I guess this other places prefer quantity verses quality thank goodness these ladies prefer quality!! I left a happy customer. I've been going to the Nail Spot for over 3 years now and I can never go anywhere else. My nails are always so perfect, I get compliments all the time, and my nails last so long. The Nail Spot is very clean, and all the ladies here are wonderful! It's always fun when I come in! Michelle is the owner and takes pride in making sure every nail is perfect! She's also amazing at remembering customers names, favorite colors, etc! And Nina and Loan are so sweet, and are really great at doing your nails too! Honestly they all do a great job and I trust any of them with my mani pedis! Just be sure you make an appointment bc this shop is very popular and they're always busy! Wanted to try this place because every other spot people recommended for pedicures was booked till the weekend. My ingrowns have been bothering me due to being an athlete, so I tested my luck here. They took me in immediately, very attentive to my needs without saying anything. Fast, smooth and perfect service. Will be coming back here for my ingrowns in the future. I found The Nail Spot on yelp. It was a bit of a drive for me but I was drawn in by the great reviews and photos. It was easy to make an appointment and when I arrived early I was asked to wait outside. Once my appointment time arrived I signed in and had my temp taken. Where the heck did my review go??? I just took the time to provide a detailed review indicating why you should steer clear of this place. Ugh. Summary: our nails were bumpy and had fibers under the polish. The nail tech did not even take the time to smooth the nail bed and cut or push back the cuticles. Not to mention she was talking so loud to her co-workers that I could not here my daughter in the chair next to me!!! Never again. Horrible. Worst pedi I've had in SD ever. Here's one pic. read more

I had a sparse spot on one of my brow tails and the woman who did my brows did a great job of doing them so that the sparseness was masked. Their COVID safety procedures in place are great! When you walk up there's a clipboard for you to sign in and they call you when to come in. I came near opening so there wasn't a wait. They have customers not touch the door, the workers do. Which is a great idea given how many germs can harbor on a door. There were two workers so only two people, on opposite sides of the room, can get their brows done at a time. Overall - this business did great following CDC guidelines and ensuring both customer and employee safety. I will definitely be back until my normal brow place opens back up.

Gross and bummed to write this but I couldn't not write up a review. I've never been here before and my son was next door for a haircut so I figured I'd get a mani to kill the time. Let me preface this by saying that I get regular mani's and Pedi's and am no stranger to clean salons with techs who actually take their time to give you good service. I don't care if a mani is only 15 mins...that's fine, just don't make me bleed and ask you to trim a bit more. The manis are $12. The salon itself is dirty. There's dust all over the cabinets, cobwebs hanging from the corners by the front door, the front door glass is dirty and the towels they used...moldy stinky and plain nasty. I was mortified with the odors from the pink towels (I think they were light pink but maybe they were once white and were washed with something that was red? I don't know). The worst was that it wasn't busy in there and they'd just been open for a few hours. Some of the staff were slouched over the desks with their phones or standing up on their phones. Really? Grab some Clorox wipes, pledge, and clean the salon up. It could use some TLC. I won't be coming back here which is a shame considering it's in a small stop mall. Lastly, I've never walked out of a salon after a mani with cuticle oil put on my nails after they've been dried. Now I've got oily fingers and oil all over my steering wheel :/ SMH. read more

I like gel manicures. They last me for over 4 weeks. I went to this place when my daughter gave me her gift certificate. I called them and insisted on coming even though they were fully booked. They were still able to accommodate me. They close at 7 pm and the appt they gave is 6:45 pm. Loann worked on my nails at 7 pm and surprisingly gave me a quality treatment even though she had to stay late. Customer service is a big deal with me and this small shop is definitely big on it. They spoke their language but very minimal. Unlike the other nail saloons where they spoke their language among the workers and you can tell they are talking about you. Because they went over time, I did not get the usual hand to elbow massage but that's okay. Maybe next time. I will absolutely go back to this place and take my 2 daughters and my hubby who loves his spa pedicure because he is a marathon runner. I rarely write reviews but this place deserves the kudos. read more

Was coming here to get my pedicure monthly ,. came in today and was in here for 3 hours sweating bullets no ac no fans only the ceiling fans. barely any air flowing. they tried to charge me full price for pedicure when i never got my ingrown nails removed or foot massage. when i told the lady she said i was in a hurry no i was uncomfortable dripping sweat. not only that but i asked for a restroom and when my pregnant friend walked in she got a dirty look by one of them. they use to be friendly here. never coming back for 90$ to sweat bullets. read more

It's official! The Nail Spot is my one and only spot for nails!!! I love it here! I normally come twice a month to get my gel mani and a pedi and I'm always happy with the results. The only downside is that my nails grow super fast, so I end up with a gel mani that looks like a reverse french! (See attached picture). My first pedicure! I can't see to properly trim my toenails. Too far for bifocals, too close for regular glasses. Typically, I cut myself, and by the time it heals, it's painful to do again! I love this little salon! I have been following Michelle and Loann since 2015. The salon is neat and clean and no TV's which I love. Super relaxing and I can relax and know my pedicure is going to be done right and last me a good 3 weeks and that is without gel polish. I recently visited them even though I moved to Idaho. The shape is different than what I came in with but it doesn't look bad. They have a bit more of a rounded apex when you look for the side and I like them more flat but it's not a big deal. It's just preference. I also got my eyebrows waxed. There's a small room right are the beginning of the hallway that is overcrowded for its size but serves its purpose. She was quick and efficient with my eyebrows. No complaints. The general feel of the place of slightly crowded because they have a lot of stations and pedicure chairs. The staff that didn't have clients were just scattered around doing their own thing. It seems like a nice place. Calm. I would go back if I needed to in a pinch and my regular person isn't available.
