Visiting family and I really needed a spot to get an acrylic full set and a pedicure. This place had decent reviews and the ladies were so kind and welcoming, but the services slacked. It hasn't even been a week (only been 4 days) and already 3 of my acrylics fell off. Although I have short nail beds, I've been getting acrylics on and off for the past 14 years and I've never had them fall off this fast. After I got home... I even had to file and re-shape them because of how uneven each nail was. The acrylics have no base curve and they're all flat and thin. They also weren't fully filled to the cuticle of the nail. So overall I don't think acrylics are really their specialty. My pedicure.. I got the higher end pedicure option with the callus remover and I left with my feet still rough on the bottoms. The polish was nicely done but I wish I just got the basic pedicure. Sadly won't be going back, even to get my nails fixed. 2 stars because of how nice the ladies were and the polish was. read more

2025 update.. I've been coming here for years, and honestly, they never miss. Prices are super reasonable and there's no upselling, which I love. Lauren is my go-to, she's the BEST with my ingrown and always takes her time. Michelle is so sweet and friendly, and all the ladies here are just really kind. I am so thankful I found this spot through Yelp. Trust me when I say I had done my research and glad I finally chose this place All the technicians are friendly which is evident by their loyal customers. Saying I am self conscious about getting my nails done is an understatement. Some of my nails beds are bumpy and all my fingernails grow differently (upward, downward, straight) and having eczema and psoriasis causes my cuticles to be challenging to clean. With that said, I can't say enough compliments to Loan. She is extremely meticulous and took her time cleaning all of my nails. First time here, and the ladies here were so sweet. I called around 2pm Monday and asking about walk in for mani and pedi and they let me know 3pm. Parking is fine compared to all the other shops around in that plaza, had no problem parking right up front and it was 3pm on a Monday. I came in and the lady upfront greeted me and knew my name. She let me know to pick a color and someone will help me... i could not find the basket of colors for my life but finally found it in the corner... i think the accent makes it a little tough but they definitely were understanding with me. My gel manicures always last a full 2 weeks minimum (if not more). I have been living here in bonita for years. And it's my first time coming here. I loved it. I only waited like 10 minutes and honestly it's super clean, neat, nice & made me feel welcomed. I was looking for a bright yellow color and I found it. They did my nails very well done! This is going to be my new spot! Prices are a little bit above average but it's worth it. They have plenty of colors and different options. I do powder on my own nail with gel. Can't wait to come back tomorrow! Nicki did my pedicure and Valerie did my manicure -- gifts to celebrate my 60 birthday. The souls of these three shine bright. They took me in before my scheduled appointment (plus), the mani/pedi combo looks beautiful (plus), the massage chair kneaded my back (plus), the place is hygienic (plus), and they kidded around with my sweetheart whenever he came in. I have a disability which means getting out is a real treat, and this team made it a royal treatment. BONUS ... Jenny's client Judith is making bracelets. Judith is another loving soul. Her husband Ray has Alzheimer's so the bracelets give her something to do. She hasn't named her side hustle yet, but Jenny has them on display ($20 each) and I went home with mine. This nail salon is very dirty and everything should be sanitized. I had a nail technician by the name of Nicole, which is an older woman close to my age. I had the worst pedi/mani I have ever had. She used old clear & undercoat polishes from her cart rather than from the wall. She seemed to be very unhappy with her job and didn't take any time at all to make it a nice experience. FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I moved to SD in January and have yet to find my new nail salon. I don't know how many I've been to. 8? 9? 10? It was all worth it to find The Nail Spot. I called in the morning to ask for two appts at 5:00pm for a girls night with my bestie. We arrived and it looks like your typical small nail salon, nothing fancy. I wasn't really sure what to expect. But the Pedicure Gods have answered my prayers and sent me the angel named Loanne. She was so incredibly thorough. I have been BEGGING other nail techs to trim the skin. They never do. They say that they do but I can see and feel that they don't. My toes leave looking pretty but not feeling CLEAN or like all the extra skin has been clipped. Not Loan. Loan is the best! She dug out all the extra skin from the depths of my soul. Having moved here from Orange County I have struggled to find a place and nail girl I love! I came here last week before my bday and trip to Hawaii and gave it a shot. Twice I've walked in and they were busy as all get out. I went to them because of my experience at INails down the street. I felt at home and well taken care of. I detoured from my usual spot to cut down time from a busy day. I went to my second eyebrow threading place and needed a pedicure. This place came up as a top spot and was next door to my brow place. It's a small nail salon. Nothing fancy about it. A bit dated from the ones I normally choose. I tried looking past it. Went in and was able to sit right away. Nice older lady did my pedicure but this was not my best pedicure. She just soaked my feet in plain hot water. Showed me the prices on an old paper pamphlet. They need updates ones or laminated ones. The whole process of the pedicure was not good. It did not give me that spa feel. I'm pretty sure I do a better job. The polish was cute though. The reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because, the lady really dug into my big toe. I believe I might have had an ingrown but she also saw how hurtful it was and she even looked at me and started laughing and smiling saying, "it hurts?" Well yeah -_- but continued. Wanted to try this place because every other spot people recommended for pedicures was booked till the weekend. My ingrowns have been bothering me due to being an athlete, so I tested my luck here. Summary: our nails were bumpy and had fibers under the polish. The nail tech did not even take the time to smooth the nail bed and cut or push back the cuticles.
