I was really worried about a check engine light on my 2000 Civic, and I literally just pulled in off the highway while driving back from a trip to NYC. It was a pre-holiday weekend time as well. I had already put more than a hundred miles on the car since the light went on, so I was concerned - just didn't have the time to stop until that morning. I called ahead, but nobody had picked up prior to 8 a.m. Still, it was really easy to find off the I-91 exit for City Center, and sure enough, someone was there and ready to take a peek at just after 8 a.m. I spoke with Joe, who warned me before having me pull my car in that they'd be too backed-up to do any work on it until the next day, but I said I just wanted to see if it was a big deal or not, and he agreed to do the diagnostic with the computer. Sure enough, there was an issue with my catalytic converter. He read me the code so I could bring it up with another auto shop, but also explained what the issue I'm facing is, so I could assess whether it would be safe enough for me to finish my drive (which was 3 more hours on the road.) I saw Kevin's awards all over the walls - he's the owner - and told them I found out about them on Yelp. The shop was quite immaculate, and really, I couldn't ask for friendlier service. The rates I think are in the high 80s -per-hour, but it's super convenient, and very willing to help out. They are also open sometimes on the weekends, and Kevin did wind up returning my call when he got in and checked the messages, so A+ for follow through! Would surely try this place again if I'm on that route and need some service. Thumbs up.

After trying several dealerships and repair shops the Friday of T-giving weekend, we were told the car might not be able to be looked at until Saturday or Monday. We called Silk's Auto Repair, and Kevin told us to bring the car over and he'd take a look at it. He ended up staying late on Friday evening to repair the car so we could get back on the road that weekend. The car runs great now...Silk's offers great customer service and excellent work!

They told me yes to come in. I did and the person at the front desk pumped my gas without any attitude. He was friendly and polite and told me to come back anytime. I was so relieved to have my tank filled. Thank you sooo much. I'll be back for more gas and will tell friends to pump their gas at this station!

Everything worked exactly as it was supposed to. They left the car clean and tidy, with no mess or ragged edges. The project involved taking the dashboard apart, which had many potential problems and points of failure. Bowen's did it right the first time, and charged a very reasonable price. Being a small family owned business, it's clear the owner cares about the quality of their work. The owner isn't somewhere hundreds of miles away - he's sitting on a stool in the service area right when you walk in. It's clear they're invested in their work, and committed to doing a good job. Even though I live over an hour away, I'll be bringing my car exclusively to Bowen's for all future service and work. It's worth the drive for a place that does reliable, quality, and reasonably priced work (which hasn't been my general experience with most other dealerships).

My Coleman cooler blew the fuse and I was unsure how to fix it. In this modern age, I soon would be without my GPS and cell phone. In a panic, I called your dealership and spoke with Pete Seymour and explained my situation. He told me to come right in and he would fit me in. I called back for directions and a woman answered and gave perfect directions. When I arrived with my two senior parents, they were immediately seated in an air conditioned waiting room. I worked with Pete and the other gentleman next to him. They immediately found a young man to troubleshoot the fuse issue. This Oldsmobile Silhouette Premier has 3 fuse boxes! He reviewed the manual and found the correct panel. Thanks to computer schematics, he was easily able to find and change the bad fuse. He showed me which fuse and how to change it, if it occurred again! There was NO CHARGE for their services. Thank you for continuing to run a business where customer service is important! Passenger side not better. The panel is askew on the front passenger side next to the headlight. The headlamps are beige in color. The battery needs to be replaced. The hood struts don't hold up the hood. All this and they tell me the bottom line, out the door price is $14400. No promise to make any repairs at all. I calculate the cost to be around $540

Yes they were busy and maybe could not fit my car in that day. However the condition that I was in I could always leave my car until there was an opening. I had to leave and my car legit stalled on me in the middle of the road THREE times as I reversed before I was able to get it going into drive again. To have a customer leave in a vehicle that is hazardous to the road is ridiculous! My vehicle stalls when I slow down to a certain point, even when a vehicle would be braking in front of me. I got rude service the last time I came from a previous job to be done last year too. I thought I'd try again. NOPE!
