What a great suggestion for a breakfast restaurant from Yelp! This spacious yet cozy restaurant was a perfect spot to relax with my family and enjoy a delicious meal. The atmosphere and decor are fun, clean, and inviting. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and hardworking. The Latin music softly playing overhead was soothing and pleasant. The food was perfectly prepared and delicious! Each dish was flavorful and fresh. My family and I ordered a garden omelette with fruit, a two-egg breakfast, and penne pasta. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining, and the restrooms were clean. As we finished our breakfast, a band was setting up to perform on the outdoor patio. Live music is performed here free of charge for guests several times a week, both during the day and in the evenings. Parking is limited, with perhaps ten spots in total; however, street parking is available. We definitely plan to return here soon.

A truly great brunch or much experience in the valley, Garden Cafe takes full advantage of a year-round outdoor space that feels tucked away from the street. Lots of vegetarian (and easily modified) options and a small but well curated wine and beer selection. It's dog-friendly outside and has plenty of shade for summer.

I've gotten my fave "The Mean Green" sandwich for pick up from Garden Cafe a few times but recently I actually dined in! They have SO much seating. Indoor and out. The patio is just gorgeous with flowers and lights. I had a beautiful lunch with my friend and enjoyed every bit of the Mean Green!!

Cute restaurant! I've driven past it plenty of times before but never stopped in, and finally had lunch here recently. They have a small parking lot out front but it's quite small, I found a parking spot a couple blocks away. It's on a busy street though so beware of fast traffic. They have lots of outdoor seating in the patio, it's mostly shaded and seems like a great spot to come and do work. They also have a big indoor space as well. You order inside and they bring your food out to you. I got the Chinese chicken salad. It came out pretty quickly and had a nice presentation. It was good overall but also not the best I've had in town.

My delicious lunch, grilled cheese short rib sandwich with the best potato salad!

My first time here. We were having a birthday lunch for my daughter. She has been here and always enjoyed her meals. I loved my food! 10 out of 10! Delicious. I am a potato salad lover and theirs was so tasty and filling! My short rib sandwich was thick and delicious! My daughter loves the Mac n cheese with short rib on top! It comes on a skillet! Beautiful patio with pink bougainvillea over head. The patio is the best place to eat. Limited parking in front is convenient. I will return!

Another visit for a last minute lunch with friends since we were in the area. Of course it's a hit or miss with the parking situation. It's a small lot so parking can be limited. It was full and the whole parking situation with the metered is a cluster fuck. Not part of the restaurant....lol... Found street parking along Moorpark which was only a little walk to the restaurant. There was a band setting up when we arrived which could also be the reason for a full parking lot. I overheard someone saying that certain days they have live music which is perfect as it's starting to heat up. Nice dining experience with live music. We ended up sitting inside for the ac which I would have love to be outside but it was fine. Breakfast had ended but the lunch menu was quite good. I've alway ordered at the counter each visit which I'm not even sure they have waitress service with order. After ordering, a number is give where it's placed on the table. As there was a couple of us, a few dishes was had. I alway go for the mimosas deal, 3 for the price of 2. Food, the Cobb salad which I forgot to add protein to it but it was still decent. That came with their vinaigrette dressing but a side of ranch was also asked for. The Brie and turkey sandwich with a side of the macaroni salad. Sandwiches were quite tasty with the toasted bread and how everything melted together. The burger which was pretty big in size. Tasty from what I was informed and served with a side of fries. Lastly, the avocado toast with tomatoes. Simple and cheerful. Plus you need an extra side order of streak fries with ranch. Both ketchup and their avocado dip was brought out as well. Food was good, the service was great. Both with the gal at the register and the waitress bringing out the food. It's pet friendly which is also nice to have the little pup with us. Forgot, they also have a nice display case of sweets on hand. And cookies that were massive. Clearly one was had before the meal. Sweets beforehand is always a good idea. Great service, nice drink, live music and a lovely crowd. What a nice way to enjoy lunch on a Tuesday afternoon.

After the Elite Experience at Ministry of Coffee, my son and I were very hungry and he suggested we come have lunch here. I'd never been here before but he said he had tried/enjoyed it once a few years ago. They have a few parking spaces in their lot and some metered parking along Woodman. It's a cute and cozy type of café with plenty of plants, strings of lights and nice jazz music playing. We were greeted by Sam and he recommended the Short Rib Grilled Cheese sandwich ($22) so that's what I ordered. For my side, I got the House Garden Salad with Champagne Vinaigrette. My son ordered the Turkey Sandwich with the same salad as his side ($19). Honestly, I felt like the portions were appropriate but overpriced. Two sandwiches plus tax and tip came out to $54 which is kind of ridiculous. I thought mine tasted just okay. It was kind of greasy. I had a bite of my son's sandwich and liked his better than mine. He really liked it too, since he devoured the whole thing. I don't know, it's a decent place but I wasn't really feeling the energy here. It was pretty empty and I wasn't getting any lively, good vibes. No one came to check on us during our meal or to see if we needed anything else. They have one male and one female restroom and both were clean, as was the restaurant itself. I was thinking about ordering my son's sandwich to-go so I could eat it later, but it was just too pricey. As of now, I don't know if I will be back for a second time.

    Open faced eggs benedict

Really cute brunch place in Sherman Oaks. Reminds me of those garden brunch spots in Pasadena. Decor is like a charming garden. There was a band that played soothing music. Thought this was pretty cool for a brunch place. Food was great. Prices are reasonable, Ordered the eggs benedict -about $20. You order at the counter and a server brings your food. Staff is kind and helpful. Note: Parking lot is really small and no valet. There is additional parking in the lot next to it, but the guy charged $10-Cash only.

    Not worth it!

1st time here (and probably last) Came on a Saturday 1/31/26 2pm I hardly leave low star reviews, but the service was not good and the food did not match the price tag. You order at the counter and they give you a number and you find a table. Once food is ready they bring it out. We had about two or three parties in front of us (not a lot) and it took a good amount of time to put in our order. Ordered 2 items, 2 drinks, plus tip $68 bucks and NOT WORTH IT (and I'm not a cheap person). Got the prime angus burger with cheese and steak fries $23 10/10 of flavor of burger! Fries were good but small amount (esp for paying $2 extra). Kicked Up Kale Caesar added chicken for $7 bucks, totaling $23. Definitely not worth it or paying $7 extra for 4 small pieces of chicken that were cold. Salad was not what I expected. It was just meh. Very disappointing. Iced tea $4 Coke $3.50 Left a 15% tip (which my hubby did and I wish he didn't) $8.81 Service was not great. And on top of that, you can leave a tip even before you receive any type of service (which hubby did w/out my knowledge). I don't like that. Burger came out first and salad came out waaaay after. We had to get up and ask about it. Not cool! Asked for an extra plate with the burger and one never came. Prices do not match what is given. I feel like I got robbed! I'm pretty disappointed. I expected better. It was a delicious burger (the only thing that stood out) but at $23 there are a lot of other places in LA I can get a delicious burger and fries for less. Salad was not a good Caesar salad. Chicken was a small amount and cold/dry. We sat outside in the patio. It was cute. Seems dog friendly which I like. I left here feeling not happy, dissatisfied, and disappointed. I totally feel like I wasted my money :-( I'm really upset!

How did all my local friends know about this place, but not me. Driving past, there is a sign, but otherwise it's set back, behind a gate, with parking in front. The lot is small and almost always full. The restaurant is walk up to order with food and drinks delivered to your table. After a couple visits, I can definitely say...I haven't had a dish I didn't like. The best surprise was the protien cookies. Both indoor and patio seating are available. There is often live music on the patio. Indoors, I find the lighting a bit dim. It is usually the quieter area to sit, better for holding a conversation. As mentioned above, there is a small parking lot. Metered street parking is also available, and some free street parking on the side street. With a pretty extensive menu, I can't wait to try more dishes.

This is one of the best restaurants in all of LA. The staff is always super friendly and they care about their customers. We grabbed lunch today and there was live music setting up for the eve as we left. The food was tasty! It's such a cute looking place! Great in the day to sit outside or in the evening for a good vibe!!! Thank u for always going above and beyond

Cute little place in the valley! They forgot capers on my Benedict, we never got the menu so my husband had to go get it himself, we asked for water and they said "ok" but apparently it was self service but they didn't mention it until the second time we asked. But food was decent, fairly priced, and comfortable cute hideout feel seating. The food can use little more punch but we'd go back again.

I customized my sub by asking for the avocado on the side and without pickle or onion. Mu wife sub was just with no tomatoes. The drinks options here are amazing, you have kool aid! They also have different kind of tea as well. This place also has a bar where you can get drinks. There enough seating to accommodate for most guest but I was just taking to go. They didn't take long to make my order and I had a great time chatting with the person preparing my order. He was very nice and energized with a upbeat attitude. He let me know that the sandwich was labeled so I would know which sub was which with the customization. It's street parking here or you can try to park in the little garage in the back, I just walked here. My sandwich was delicious and has a little kick to it. I will recommend that if you get the Kali Mist, you should eat it while it's fresh for the best taste. The sub will fill you up because it has so much toppings in it and they give you a decent amount too. My wife loved her sub as well beside the bacon since I forgot to ask for that on the side. Very fast and very fresh! My food tasted delicious and I loved all the flavors and textured together. Great combinations and very flavorful. The fries were nice and crispy, just how they should be. They have some cookies available to purchase by the register, or you can try one of their shakes. They also serve beer and wine here. They have a gender neutral restroom, but I didn't need to use it. Next time, I'm going to come and eat here in person. If you're in the mood to sit outside, you can also dine on their patio. They have 13 locations in LA and were established in 2013. I'm looking forward to trying more of their menu items in the future! Thank you all..

Babushka is one of those "if you know, you know" places that the Valley always seems to hide to…read morecasual passersby, just waiting to be unearthed. It may just also be my favorite deli in LA for anything vegetable/side dish. As other reviews note, the selection of prepared foods for such a small shop is staggering. I've been coming for three years now, and while I'm guilty of ordering my favorites often, I think I'd have a tough time making my way through all of the foods on offer even if I switched it up on each visit. 4 different types of meatballs (the chicken breast one is to die for), lox, cabbage rolls, at least a half dozen cooked seafood options (shout out fish in tomato sauce), stroganoff, 3-4 different types of couscous and plov....and that's only half of the non veggie section. The cakes are great (Black Forest and walnut go hard). The Russian/Ukranian chip flavors rule. There are specialty candies and jarred foods and good looking fruits and veggies. There's an off menu soup with dill and little chicken meatballs that I'd recommend to anyone ailing in a heartbeat. And then, finally, we arrive at the salads and cold veggies. Nonstop bangers. The beet salad with prunes and garlic may sound wild for non Eastern European tastes, but it's unique and addictive and works. The potato salad Olivier? Best potato salad I've ever had. My wife has recently discovered the zucchini, which looks like a bunch of unassuming diced veggies but tastes savory and complex and herby. You'd be the hero of every picnic or backyard bbq ever grabbing side dishes from here. Seriously. The kind folks who work here will let you sample too, which is helpful when there are so many options. Some places wear their culture on their sleeve, fill your stomach with the love of a home cooked meal, and remind you that diverse communities are the heartbeat of this city. Babushka's is one of them.

Babushka means "Grandma" in Russian in an especially endearing way. Babushka Grandma's Deli…read moreachieves that rare homemade style of handed-down recipes in its well-stocked deli counter of ready-to-eat meals for the whole family. "Grandma's Hands" sums up the comfort many of us associate with Grandma's cooking. The owners and employees are doing a five-star job at forwarding that kind of comfort to the community and customers here. First of all, everything is freaking deliciousness! Admire the always-on-point "People Love Us On Yelp" sign as you arrive. The free parking lot offers nice and ample parking spaces for disabled customers as well as tables upon arrival which can comfortably accommodate wheelchairs. Now don't get me wrong, I love fancy gastronomy featuring tres Nouveau French culinary techniques just like you but I absolutely ADORE borscht, stuffed cabbage and plav equally. (Even more sometimes!) I've been shopping here and picking up takeout here for a long time. My experiences have only been better over the years. The discounts can be incredible and I appreciate sale-priced groceries in today's economy as well as the opportunity to support local and international farms. Sunflower seeds, sunflower oil, low sugar and no sugar added cookies, pastries and cakes, caviar, dried fish, pickled Herring, perfectly ripe berries, smoked fish, halva, cheese spread, jams, and artisan teas, all five stars. But wait. Is it a Russian-American market where I find the most Ukrainian imported groceries and ways to support Ukrainian farming?! Yep! +Heart hands emoji+ This market does a great job of offering a nice seat and friendly conversation to the average dine-in customer. Stop by to sip on an imported pear juice. Try a bite of fresh cream cheese cake with berries. Ask for advice! Go for the Beef Plav which is an employee favorite. The Beef Plav here contains a generous amount of tender, lean beef with carrots, savory buttery rice and whole softly roasted garlic cloves. Yum! (Five stars!) I've found some especially healthy and nutritious food here for my health recovery goals recently. About six years ago, I had been exposed to high levels of radiation according to a good old fashioned Geiger counter. My health began to drastically decline and I became very weak. I could barely stand and I barely survived. I knew about a famous brave Ukrainian woman who had survived radiation exposure thanks to her unborn child. Her survival story led to me requesting female cancer screenings which led to the surgeries that saved my life. (**Confetti flying **) There's a very long list of doctors and people who have helped me survive and recover to whom I live for in gratitude. Our commitment to the people and values which help us survive the impossible compels us to rise to the occasion of coming back stronger and better than we ever could have accomplished before or alone. So I'm drinking bone broth, eating extra protein, taking vitamins. And lifting weights with steadfast determination to recover my strength and then some. (Go Navy!) No market has helped me more in this health effort than this hidden gem. (Many thanks!) I am the customer who buys ALL the boxes of pastilla. (SORRY OTHER CUSTOMERS!) Pastilla is a layered pastry made of baked apples and eggs white, no sugar and nothing else! It's a miracle of a snack! Tastes like apple cake, made of egg whites. Protein in my car after working out? Five million stars. ***** To all y'all spending big bucks on cold bone broth, consider the chilled chicken gelatin dish here. Khoolidets? -It's rich with real collagen, high in protein and perfectly balanced with firm carrots and vegetables.I love this dish! Five stars. A real life look young dish! My personal secret to looking a little younger than my age is recovering from surgeries and serious stuff through nutrition, hard work and most importantly, contributing to my community. Beat the odds. Cimb a mountain. Start a non profit. Save the world. You've got this! And. Yyou're going to look GORGEOUS while you're doing it because you're already beautiful just the way you are. If ever there's a pandemic, a zombie apocalypse, or problem, people will come to each other's aid time and time again. To offer encouragement, advice and help to achieve the impossible. Grandma's Deli Babushka is a good place to be reminded that we're in it together.:) Spaseeeba! I'm on a mission to recover improved again. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who is helping me with this mission! Cheers YELP! :)!
