These are good! I normally can't finish a double cheeseburger but I got through one of these double cheeseburgers and fries in a sitting, no trouble! I loved the sweet pickle and the mustard/ketchup spread (rather than thousand island). The fries were homemade and authentic. Overall good eats here and quick service from the time we ordered to the time our pager buzzed.
I crave a burger every once in a while, and HiHo Cheeseburger did not disappoint at all! I went with a friend who has to eat halal, and this was perfect since their beef is halal. The only thing was that the pastrami on the burger was halal, just not certified - my friend didn't mind though. We ordered a regular cheeseburger and one of their pastrami burgers. The man who took our order was very nice and friendly, and also happy to answer our questions regarding if the meat was halal - just to check. He also answered questions about portions, which made ordering really easy. We got our food after a bit of a wait (but no worries), and we sat down. The restaurant itself was nice and clean, and it was pretty calm when we went. The burger patty was so juicy and smoky, and the rest of the ingredients and sauce went along with it perfectly. I thought the burger looked a little small, but after eating it, I was pretty satisfied. My friend said he could've eaten more. Will definitely have to hit up this spot again, and maybe try their milkshakes.
Visited my birth state to see family. We went to enjoy the weekend and had a wonderful lunch and decided to eat at HiHo Cheeseburger. Parking: 90 minute parking for Free. The whole area is serene and peaceful. Great place to meet family or have a friendly play date. Our order: Pastrami Heat Classic Single Pastrami fries with cheese Drinks: wine and soda We sat outside to enjoy our lunch. The food is pricy. Receipt states they are a "No Tipping Establishment", however the bill has a line item which states "Fee". The cashier was not able to understand our order clearly. Order was corrected swiftly. Overall the food was delicious! The star of the show was the Pastrami Fries (with cheese is a must!). Thanks for a wonderful afternoon. Cheers~!
HiHo Cheeseburger in Studio City never disappoints. The HiHo Double is everything you want in a cheeseburger--two perfectly seared grass-fed wagyu patties, gooey melted American cheese, crisp lettuce, tangy pickles, and their delicious slow-cooked onions on a soft toasted bun. The hand-cut fries were fresh and crispy, and everything tasted high quality without being overly complicated. Pair it with a cold Sapporo, and you've got one of the best burger meals in Los Angeles. I'll definitely be back!
HiHo HiHo to the burgers we go! This place is not too bad. The burger was decent and the fries were ok as well. I also tried a strawberry shake that was basic, pretty much flavoring added to vanilla shake. The service is friendly and willing to give recommendations but their role is really to take and make your order not necessarily serve you. Inside is small but they have a good amount of tables that clear quickly, as most people come in, eat and go. This is a place you can come to with friends, family, or on a date (bonus points if your date would prefer grass fed beef). Overall it was a good experience.

After that, I picked it up with a napkin and threw the box away, but had to take more pictures later (including the spider on the napkin and the burger out on a plate) because Uber asked for additional proof for a refund. I tried calling the restaurant but couldn't get through, so I emailed and am waiting for a response. This was my first time ordering from here, and it will definitely be my last... GROSS! I now cannot order out and will always pick up an order if eating out and will watch restaurants pack my food.
Yum. Cant tell you more than wow what a great place to get a burger. Those pickles on the burgers are to die for and I always get a side of pickles cause they are so good. The burgers are packed with flavor and I love the taste. Fries are great. The milkshakes kick butt. Overall my new favorite burger spot. Staff is great and they move fast and are super helpful.
Typically, I get a triple burger but I wanted to try something new today so I got the Willie mae. I think this was a solid sandwich, the honey gave it a nice little sweetness. Not the best fried chicken sandwich I've had, but definitely an interesting flavor profile. The fries are delicious as always and the Matty sauce is crucial!
Ventured into Hi Ho at the height of Friday dinner time, when the whole Sportsmen's Lodge shopping & dining nook was packed with people, including at least 75 kids under the age of 6. Yowza! Luckily, Hi Ho wasn't quite as busy as the pizza and ice cream shops, but there were still quite a few folks, and the staff did manage to tend to everyone nicely. If you haven't been, Hi Ho is a simple, fast food burger joint in terms of decor, but the menu (from the same people who own Matu) is a small, curated selection of very high quality options: mostly Wagyu burgers in a few different configurations, and chicken tenders + some very good, hand cut fries. This time I opted for the Pastrami Heat, a double cheeseburger fortified with spicy grilled onions and a not-too-large topper of Wagyu pastrami. I don't usually go for such an elaborate burger, but I just had a hankering. And while I won't say the burger was small, it was not as ridiculously enormous as you might get other places. The double patties were juicy and flavorful, nicely seasoned and coated in properly melted American cheese. The spicy grilled onions did pack a nice punch, but there weren't a lot of them, so their effect was minimal (definitely could use more of those). House-made pickles were pleasingly artisan, with a layered, briny flavor far more enjoyable than the commercial dill chips usually deployed. Finally, the Wagyu pastrami was really quite good. Marbled and juicy without be too fatty or too rich, thinly shaved and portioned just large enough to make its presence known without becoming unwelcome halfway through. Though decadent for sure, this was an enjoyable treat that was only about 50% guilt-inducing. Fries were fresh, hot, crispy and well done, cooked in beef tallow. Also a treat. Prices are in line with what you're paying at other fast casual burger places like Five Guys or Burger Lounge, but the quality here is definitely a step above, so you could almost say it's a deal. Of course, if you also stop into neighboring Erewhon for a smoothie, your budget will be blown. read more

Wow it was cooked perfectly! So delicious the only thing I would have changed was no ketchup. Note for next time. I will be back. read more

So wasn't to impressed for $23 meal. Burger is on small size, flavor was ok. Nothing out of the ordinary. In n out is way better. I think these places that claim they use wagyu meat are scams. Not worth it read more

Good place for a quick bite while visiting the area. There are few museums close by and the Hollywood bowl arena. Also not too far is the Hollywood area where you can see the stars on the sidewalk. There is also a validated parking lot for 2 hours since parking in LA is a big deal. read more

Typically, I get a triple burger but I wanted to try something new today so I got the Willie mae. I think this was a solid sandwich, the honey gave it a nice little sweetness. I'm putting 4 stars but my true rating is 3.5 stars. Ordered "The Big Matty" ($10.95) which is a HiHo double with matty sauce. The menu doesn't really describe what exactly is in the burger besides the double patty and not ketchup. They use shredded lettuce which is actually the one thing I dislike in a burger because it feels like it's just falling apart with every bite and gets too messy. The burger was good, but not the most amazing thing I've ever eaten. Meat was flavorful which is always appreciated. I'm actually not sure what their Matty Sauce is made of but it was still yummy. Also tried the Hand-Cut Fries ($4.95) which are just your good ol' basic fries. They appear dark brown but they're not well done and crunchy. Still soft with a bit of a crunch. They come in a paper bag with a lot of holes so they don't lose their crisp. Their prices are extremely reasonable especially in this area, but I also feel like I got what I paid for anyway. They advertise that they serve 100% grass fed wagyu beef that comes from First Light Farms so I thought that's cool they let everyone know exactly where they are sourcing their meat. They also seem to make their fries fresh from whole potatoes, buns from a local baker, milkshakes with house-made ice cream and pickles are also made in-house. Good little place if you need a quick bite and craving burger and fries, or there's even honey tenders and chicken tender sandwich that also sound good on the menu. Area was clean, workers were nice and prompt and bathroom was also tidy. read more

Ok, first time here, seen it on the news this morning on ktla 5, decided to try it, the hamburgers are tasty but I don't like the after taste I get after I burp. The fries are really good. Service was good, young guy was really nice, told him it was are first time there and he explained the menu. Plenty of parking, the first 90 minutes is free. It's casual, the fountain machine is only for water, they also offer beer and wine, if anyone is interested. read more
One of my absolute favorite places to get burgers. This location is pretty nice with shops to meander through to walk off a great meal. I got the HiHo Double, the Ashton fries and their chocolate shake. That burger was phenomenal...juicy patties with the slow cooked onions make the best combo with the house made pickles that cut through the richness of the beef. I love that they use ketchup and mustard instead of a spead of sorts because it really does make the flavor of the beef shine through. The Ashton fries...probably my favorite way to eat fries. The pastrami was amazing, and I don't really care for pastrami unless it's Katz's or Langer's. And even with the hot pastrami, the slow cooked onions and the cheese sauce, the fries were crispy and not overly salty! The shake...liquid ice cream. Perfect way to wash down the meaty, salty, umani goodness of the meal in between bites. Gotdamnnnnnn! If you like burgers...this is a MUST try. You will not be disappointed! Second time coming here, their burgers are really good! Wanted to try something different so I decided to try the honey glazed chicken tenders. Flavor and crisp is amazing! A bit pricey though for only 2 tenders. Burger- pastrami Again, solid burger and the pastrami was a great addition! read more

Hands down my FAVORITE burger place ever, and has been for years. I usually go to the Marina Del Rey location, but I happen to be in the area so I ate here for my birthday. Hiho's burger meat always taste so delicious and good quality, and has the perfect portion to where you're full but not too stuffed. They're beef is also wagyu and grass fed, and the fries are tasty and well-seasoned too! They even gave me a free shake for my birthday. The only thing I'd complain about is that to get ranch it's $1 (which is ridiculous). This location is in a beatiful shopping center and is decorated very festive with radiant Christmas lights for the holidays. read more

Located in the fancy schmansy Sportsmen Lodge complex in the middle of super posh Studio City. Parking is madness as everyone loves coming here. First 90 minutes is free though. Anyway, lots of seating inside and outside of Hi-Ho. Everything is clean, modern, and ordering is pretty simple. The menu isn't too large at all. Basically just burgers, fries and a chicken and pastrami sandwich. Came for the burger that everyone's raving about, of course. - Classic double - 7.5/10: Solid cheeseburger. Patties are on the smaller end, though, and these aren't smashed in case you're wondering. The juices are all retained, so you'll be wiping quite a bit. Good flavors throughout and the ingredients are all fairly simple and standard. A solid take on the classic, no frills hamburger. - Hand-cut fries - 9.5/10: Amazeballs. I think these are twice-fried Belgian style. Super crispy, but soft on the inside. Fried evenly throughout and not a single dull fry. These are artisan level fries, bro. Probably should've gotten the shake, but saving the calories for dinner. Anyway, really solid burger joint with a decent price point, especially around these parts. Would definitely come back. read more

We absolutely love HiHo cheeseburger! We first tried it in SaMo and when we found out it would open in studio city we had to make this our local place for burgers other than in n out. Hehe We already love "The shops at sportsmen lodge" so this was a huge bonus! Now for the burgers, love loveee them all. The double cheeseburger and cheeseburger are equally delicious. If you've hopped on the Smashburger trend you know that the patties are thin but HiHo is special as they use 100% grass fed wagyu beef. Since they are thin, you have the choice to order a double or even triple patty. I make special as I get a classic cheeseburger by adding the pastrami and Oooo weee so good! 10/10 They also have the Spicy pastrami HiHo on the menu which is a double cheeseburger with pastrami and spicy onion jam, amazingly good. 10/10 Now the fries, they are hand cut fries and for this it can be a hit or miss for me as they can be very burnt but overall, they're delicious and flavorful. Their made from scratch shakes are so creamy and tasty, I got the vanilla shake and it was creamy. Service here is great and very attentive as we were waiting for a table once and one of the bussers made sure to find us one and clean it up for us. So sweet! It can get quite busy inside but you can order and take your food to eat outside as their is a beautiful eating area out. I've recommended this place to a few coworkers and they absolutely loved it... they are regulars now. Haha read more

Been wanting to try HiHo for some time and we finally came out since we were craving a burger . Staff is very friendly and plenty of indoor and outdoor dining. Simple menu with a few items and looks like everything is high quality. We ordered their HiHo burger comes as a double and you can upgrade to triple. It's not a real smash burger but that's how it was explained to us. I would have preferred it to be a more smashed so maybe I will ask for next time. We also ordered the Loaded fries and regular fries and the chicken tender. The chicken tender was my favorite with the perfect balance of crispy and sweet. The fries were very soggy and oily and the burger was good but it was not a wow that I was hoping for it to be. read more
Definitely wins points for way better ambiance than most fast casual restaurants-- nice lighting and seating, well maintained, great outdoor seating area. Seems like a welcome addition for a quicker dining option in the Sportsman's Lodge. The banana cream pie was absolutely the shining star here! Cold, creamy, generously portioned, and delicious. Totally recommend that. The spicy vegan burger & fries were okay. Nothing wrong with them, but there are so many options for truly stellar vegan burgers and fries around this neighborhood, that it came up a little short by comparison. read more
Ever since Sportsmen's Lodge underwent serious remodeling and reopened as "The Shops at Sportsmen's Lodge", it has been a great addition here in the neighborhood. One of the featured shops happens to be HiHo Cheeseburger and this is a delicious burger joint. Sportsmen's Lodge is located in the heart of Studio City on Coldwater Canyon/Ventura Blvd. It also has recently become an outdoor mall with shopping, dining, and wellness. This is a great place for date night, meeting with friends, or spending too much on groceries (cc: Erewhon). Luckily there is plenty of free parking for the first 90 minutes. I know the Smashburger hype still has not gone down yet but HiHo is still definitely worth checking out. Their burgers are made from 100% grass fed Wagyu so you know you're about to eat a cheeseburger that has quality meat. The service here is excellent and efficient, you don't have to wait a long time for your food. If you're tired of a thin pressed Smashburger, order the HiHo double and it will introduce you to the new modern, traditional cheeseburger. read more
Absolutely love HiHo cheeseburger!!! Second time coming here and they are a Top 3 for me for-sure. My eyes were rolling from the first bite! I'm happy to report that the fries were awesome this time around, much better than the last, very crispy. I am not happy to report that their sauces are worse than last time, I honestly don't like them at all, I found myself preferring to eat my fries without any sauce or with just ketchup than with their customer sauces (that they even charge for). read more
Came in here with a friend for brunch. She ordered her food and then I did, I paid for both ours. When I got the receipt I just put it in my bag. Once I got home and cleaned out my bag I took a look at the receipt and noticed I was charged an extra burger. No wonder one of the guys brought it over to our table but we let him know it wasn't ours. He should have figured he charged me for it and should have offered me a refund. Because he did come over and said "sorry for the mix up!" But I never thought he actually charged me for it too. But I'll take accountability for not checking the order or double checking the receipt when I was there. I should trust your establishment tho!!!! It was my first time trying the Willi Mae and it was absolutely delicious!! I really enjoyed it! I will definitely be back but to a different location. read more

Is this halal?
While the beef patties are Halal, there's no guarantee that other ingredients like the fries which are fried in non-Halal beef tallow, also they don't list their ingredients of the bread cheese, and sauces, which might have pork byproducts
My receipt has a fee other than tax and it was not specified. What is it for?
So they can post lower prices on food in the menu but still charge you more. Then it appears cheaper when it's not. Honest places don't do this. Just set the prices to where they need to be. This is a very scammy practice.
