The tour was great, started off with a short film before they pack you like sardines in the elevator to go down and view the inner workings of the dam. We had Brett as our guide and he was awesome. The weather couldn't have been better and the water really is that bright green you see in photos. When the sun hits it just right, it's unreal. The whole kayak route is beautiful, and we even saw a bald eagle flying overhead, which was a nice surprise. Tips: Don't book this if you're not in decent shape, it's about 3-4 miles of kayaking. If you're unsure, go for a tandem kayak and bring someone to share the work. It'll make the experience way more enjoyable. Just make sure to request a tandem kayak in advance

Book this tour was super easy. Once we made our payment we were emailed instructions on where to…read moremeet. My husband and I went on this tour on a Sunday. We were told that the raft could hold about 32 people, but we were lucky because on tour we had a total of 17, which was nice. We were also given a bag with snacks and a bottle of water, which was great to snack on during the tour. We met our driver at the Hoover Dam lodge. There was a lot of parking available, which made it easy. Our driver was super friendly and very informative. He took us to the raft to meet our tour guide. Our tour guide wasn't welcoming to my husband and I, but as other guests loaded onto the raft, his attitude changed. As we started the tour we stayed at the same spot for 30 minutes. Our guide passed out pictures in sheet protectors and began sharing about the history of the Hoover dam. Throughout the tour, our guide was testing us about our history. We didn't know much of it, that's why we attended the tour to learn. The best part of the tour was us getting out of the raft and landing on a piece of land to touch the water and skip rocks and take more photos. It was nice to see a few mini waterfalls and even a hot spring! I did wished we went deeper into the dam, but I guess that would've been for the longer tour. Also, I wish we could've swam in the lake, but it was very chilly. It was a great experience, however, the initial encounter with our guide was uncomfortable. Best day ever at the Camel Safari! Guided by Adam and Allie-two of the most knowledgeable,…read morefriendly, and genuinely caring people you'll ever meet . This experience was unforgettable from start to finish in their 165 acre property. We kicked off the day with a short ride on Jafar, a stunning, gentle giant weighing nearly 3,000 pounds. ( love at first sight) After taking some amazing photos with him, he happily stayed nearby and spent the rest of the day with us. From there, we met several other camels and hopped on the tram, where more adventures were to be had . Along the way, we encountered so many incredible animals, more camels, a zedonk, llamas, alpacas, and miniature horses. One of the highlights was feeding Thorn, their adorable pet porcupine,grapes she was just the sweetest little girl. We also got to see New Guinea singing dogs (so cute!) and Ambien, their 20-year-old sloth, who was just as amazing to see in person as you'd imagine. Feeding the alpacas and llamas carrots was such a fun, hands-on experience. As if that wasn't enough, four friendly Ridgeback dogs casually joined us on the tram, roaming freely and adding even more charm to the day. Every animal we encountered was gentle, well cared for and clearly loved . I truly can't say enough wonderful things about this experience it was pure joy from beginning to end. If you've never met a camel, Ilama, or alpaca, you're missing out. These gentle creatures will absolutely fill your heart. I'm already looking forward to going back again soon. If you're looking for something unique to do near Las Vegas, Camel Safari is absolutely worth it…read more We drove up from the Las Vegas Strip and visited earlier in June, and it exceeded our expectations. We were amazed by how up close and personal we could get with the camels and the other animals. The safari tram tour was informative and much more engaging than anticipated as well. We had plenty of opportunities to see the animals in a natural, spacious environment. The friendly staff were also incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the animals in their care. They shared interesting facts about the area and the animals throughout the tour that made the experience both fun and educational. This was far better than your average zoo... it felt much more interactive and authentic. One of the biggest highlights is the location itself. It truly feels like a backcountry adventure, and it's hard to believe you're such a short drive from the Las Vegas Strip. We also did the UTV tour, which took us down to the Virgin River and deeper into the surrounding desert landscape. The scenery was stunning, and I couldn't believe we had just been in the middle of Vegas. What a great experience!

Can't come up with something fresher with people who do not have mullets? After the movie you start your tour. During our tour we had two different guides, both were knowledgeable but had little personality.... Except the occasional high expected "dam tour" joke. Both talked very fast and were at times hard to understand. We had purchased the higher end tour for $40. With this smaller group tour you got a little deeper dive into the dam, including a walk down a tube where you could look out a vent in the actual exterior wall of the dam that overlooked the river below....that was cool! The museum was updated, which was very notable and appreciated. Lots of interactive displays that were all working. Best part of the tour was the dam itself. Great views! You can make your choice between 3 tours, or just skip ithem all and walk around and enjoy the views. The paid tours go from a cheaper "self guided" to a mid priced group tour, and a top choice which included a bit longer and deeper dive into the dam. All include a short movie and entrance to the museum.
