Loved everything about this lodge/campsite. I did one night on one of their tent sites and one night in the rancher cabin. The campsite it self was super rad, great warm clean showers, fire pits looked new. The (what I think would be the owners) we're both super friendly and gave good insider info on all my questions. I ate dinner and bfast and I would absolutely recommend. The wings were prob some of the best I've ever had. The creek rips right through the campsite and is super peaceful. It's not far from Philipsburg which is breweries and a good size market along with other cool things to see. Will be back soon!

Rustic cabins and location. Located right off the hwy which lends to some noise, but the sound of Boulder Creek trumps the hwy noise. We stayed inThe Rancher Cabin which was a queen bed and a futon. There are no bathrooms inside, but there are some a few feet away. It can be a little inconvenient, but it is so beautiful here and relaxing that it really didn't matter. No coffee , no t.v. but they have wi fi and coffee in the office. There is a quest house that has pool table, games, etc. Microwave also located in this room and a large fridge. BCC is dog friendly(Only $5!) & a leash is required. Lot's of trails to walk on and they also have tent and RV spots. I definitely will come back and bring my own coffee pot!

Boulder Creek running along our tent site put us to sleep in minutes.

We were looking for a nice place to tent camp between Anaconda and Missoula after driving all day. The wind was ripping, it was 95 degrees and we had seen miles of scrubby vegetation for hours. A quick 15 minute drive South from I-90 revealed an oasis. Beautiful timbered property with a fabulous creek running through. Clean, quiet, comfortable. Just what the doctor ordered. Slept like a baby next to the creek. Super affordable too. Give these guys a shot and you won't regret it.

The other boys father and brother were both watching them, well the guy that mows the lawn, came out of the bathroom and yelled at my son so much that when my son came home he couldn't even talk to tell me what happened. He was sobbing! I went outside and yelled at the guy that if he has a problem with my son come talk to me don't ever yell at him again! Both the other boys father and brother said my kid didn't do anything wrong. The next morning I printed a formal complaint and left it at the office for when they opened at 9am, was headed over at 9:30 to discuss the complaint when a police officer shower up at my door. They said they called about the gun incident, apparently the gun triggered the guys PTSD, well my kid also has PTSD and no man needs to be yelling at him! We ended up leaving because I was due to pay that day anyway and refused to give them ANY more of my money! No apology from any of the staff or owners! And since this incident I have seen 3 men in different stores with real guns oh their waists, if an orange fake gun is going so triggering for the worker's PTSD perhaps Montana one of the most gun friendly states isn't the place for him! I'd stay far far away from this campground you have kids! Below is the fake gun that was so scary!

The maintenance guy here has a giant problem and instead of taking it up with the males in the group he goes to the youngest, most petite female in the car who had two babies with her. Our four year old granddaughter had to use the restroom. My husband who is a veteran of three wars says "stop here, as a kid I used to camp here all the time and they're typically good people.". Couldn't have been further from the truth. He came over to the vehicle stuck his hands inside, screamed, and yelled, and cussed at my daughter and demanded a dollar. My husband gets out of the vehicle and tells him to back away from the vehicle and "terry" the toilet guy of the property (maintenance I assume because he was in a Good Sam's golf cart) threatens to call the cops because a four year old child used the bathroom on "his private property". My daughter scrambled for money and that is when her husband comes out of the office with the 4 year old who used the restroom. My daughter tries to give him the money with an extra dollar for his troubles and he then denies the money and says I don't want your effing money, GTFOH. It was the most unsettling experience I've ever had. The guy is unhinged. Make sure and check out the review from the guy from Florida. He posted a picture of the psycho coocoo head we had to deal with. I wouldn't book a stay here if you paid me a million dollars.

There are two kinds of spots, those with full hookups and those with water and power only. The ones without sewer are down by the river amongst the trees and this is where we stayed, right next to the river. Very relaxing. The site is nicely landscaped and maintained, with plenty of grass and trees dotted around. There is a slipway if you have a small boat. The river can also be fished and the on site general store sells all kinds of fishing gear, as well as many other things, including locally sourced preserves and honey. I bought a jar of the organic salsa and it was so good that I ate it all in one sitting. The store also sells souvenir items and alcoholic beverages, including local Montana brews - so I had to try some - very good! They also sell propane. The staff in the store are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. There is a 'restroom, shower and laundry' block on site - I didn't use the laundry, but the showers are nice, you are provided a code to get in. There are also poop bags provided and doggy waste collection container. The rear area of the site by the river is behind a lift up barrier and you are provided a card to operate this to get in, it automatically lets you out. There are nice views of mountains in the distance and a cycle path all the way to Missoula if you want to go that far... We've certainly enjoyed our stay here so far and would recommend it to anyone.

At about 9:30 PM, I was sitting in my RV when I looked outside and walking up the road, about 20' from us was a HUGE Bull Moose! It stood at least 6' at the shoulder and had the largest rack I have ever seen! From ground to the tip of the rack he was easily at least 10'! I'd say between 600-800 lbs! He casually walked through the camp like he owned the place, walked to the fence and leaped over to the neighbors property. He was BEAUTIFUL! You won't see that in Seattle, Portland, New York, or even Missoula!

Our welcome with Lori the next morning was bar none the best ever! She greeted us with a plate of lemon bars! Keep in mind it's off season and we were the only visitor passing through. I can't imagine this is a regular thing she does but worth mentioning to show you her kindness and generosity. They were the real deal, with shortbread & super lemony filling! Also she asked for less money because we chose the smaller site. Wow when has this ever happened in our many travels? Never! A storm was coming through the next day so we decided to wait it out with two more nights and 2 days at Boulder Hot Springs 1.5 miles away. Loris fb page gave us a great idea of what we could find in town. We visited Hanks aka Boulder Hardware to get propane. (Thanks Chloe for your help!) By 3rd night we learned about the infamous steaks at Windsor Bar and treated ourselves. What a fun place and it appeared to be woman owned and run. On our last morning we were visited by two tall birds. Lori had corrected us and said the heron aren't here yet, there are three pair of "Sandhill Cranes," what a glorious sight! We look forward to returning to such remarkable and sincere hospitality. Many thanks Lori, we are very grateful to be able to spend three nights here. Did I mention how affordable? $35/night for full hook ups, yikes!
