Didn't need to make an appointment, they took me at the last minute before closing for a pedicure. The tech was respectful and did a great job, and gave me some helpful advice. Only thing was the quality of nail polish selection was not the best, they had a small section with OPI but no essie or other recognizable brands. Came here today and Kathy did my pedicure and I love it! She was efficient with time but very intentional. The calf massage was amazing and my toes look really really good. The water was very warm which is how I love it. It was only $40 for shellac for the basic pedi. More than worth the money. The service was great and all were very nice. read more

A new state and a new hunt for a nail salon. First stop, Boulder Nails. It's certainly got the name going for it! I dropped in yesterday for a much needed pedicure to kick off summer. At this point it's hard to say how it will hold up. I have certain standards for nail work based on price. So at $18 (which doesn't include callas removed - that's another $3) I expect solid cuticle work and color that lasts almost 2 weeks. If this newbie pedi job stands the test of time, it might be worth risking those semi uncleanly salon tools again... but me thinks not. I've always been a stickler for nail salons that CLEAN THEIR TOOLS. Something about barbicide just helps me sleep at night. So even if they don't do a great job, even if it's not a fresh cuticle cutter straight out of a sterile pack, at least make some effort to clean your tools between customers. In fact, its even acceptable if you attempt to trick me into believing you cleaned the cheddar off that toe pick before you attacked my right foot. *cringes in horror* Aside from my qualms with the cleanliness of the tools I can say that my technician was pretty aggressive cleaning under my nails (partially my fault because I've been getting dirty outside a lot lately) and they didn't clean the foot tubs between customers (again, please at least attempt to trick me). I'll pass on this place in my next adventure. I like to get a little nutty, but if I break out with plantar warts I will know who to blame. So, one star for the name and one star for....... to be honest the second star is for charity. Wait, parking, the other star can be for parking (sorry charity). read more

Boulder Nail is definitely the cheapest nail salon in town, but you sure do get what you pay for! They don't disinfect their tools. They don't clean out the foot tubs between customers. All their nail polishes are old and goopy. They barely give you ANY massage on legs and hands during mani-pedis. They re-dip the sticks into the same pot of wax when you get waxing services (even brazilian waxes, which is totally gross!). And while the technicians are all very nice, they don't clean up the polish off your cuticles very well and they don't cover the entire nail with the top coat. I'm totally grossed out and am just really hoping they didn't give me some nasty infection or fungus from their lack of cleanliness. I will not be returning there. read more

I can't believe all of these negative reviews. Everything about this place is great. Their prices are the best in Boulder and they do a great job. You can always ask to fix something. If you speak up they'll fix it. All of the women there are capable of manicures and pedicures. I have had them all and they're friendly and listen. Even if my shellac comes off or chips I can go back in and they fix. Great place. Make an appointment though or you might wait 30 min when it's busy. read more

I stopped in for Mani-Pedi and decided on this place after going to a few other salons on the area. A manicure costs $10 and a pedicure is $18. Compared to other places this is pretty affordable. Also for people who get acrylic, they do a full set for $25. It wasn't busy so I was seated immediately. The inside looked clean and organized, and the staff was kind. No one really tried to start conversation with me but I don't mind. While I was in the chair getting my pedicure, another girl started working on my manicure. I've never had two people working on me at once! Because of this, I was finished pretty quickly (30 minutes tops). In terms of quality I thought it was average. Both manicure and pedicure were good and quick but I don't think either of them took extra care or detail. If I need a mani-pedi that's relatively cheap and to the point, then I would go back there. read more

Went here for a pedicure. I did not have an appointment and there was about a 5 minute wait. No biggie. My biggest complaint is that I was charged extra for the scrub on the bottom of your feet (isn't that standard when getting a pedicure) and also, the technician did NOT put any lotion on my legs and feet. She was very distracted on her cell phone and kept leaving me to take her personal calls. So annoying! I will not go here ever again for a pedicure. The only other time that I've had a good experience here is having a gel manicure with "Linda". She truly is the best and I don't know why she's at this salon. Overall experience.. meh. I went to get a mani and pedi. They were done quickly 15 min. There was paint spots on most of my cuticles. I asked them if they could clean it up to fix it, they did after talking in a different language. It looked like my 10 year old daughter painted them. They laughed about it as a staff and did it but how uncomfortable. I told them never mind after already paying. I expect my nails will look decent not even perfect but to be laughed at when nail polish is on my cuticles and splashed over. No thanks I won't be back! $60 for that, I'll pass. read more

I went in to get my nails done today and had a truly horrible experience. First I asked if I could do dip powder manicure they looked at me kind of confused but then said yes. When I sat down in the pedicure chair the water was cold and I gave them a few things that I wanted. I wanted my nails to not be cut just shaped I want to my toenails to be cut shorter and I had specifically told them what I was looking for. When the woman started my manicure she started by cutting my nails in shaping them exactly opposite of what I asked when I reminded her what I was looking for she just nodded and ignored me. I also told the woman during my pedicure that I needed my nails cut shorter which she didn't do. My dip powder manicure was extremely thick and in filing it down she missed complete sections of my nails left me with rough spots and made my fingers bleed where she filed my actual skin. I was excited to come and spend the money to get my nails done but instead I spent the money to get the worst manicure I have ever gotten I do not recommend going here if you were looking for a high-quality experience read more

I've been into Boulder Nail a few times for pedicures, the service was OK and the pedicure was good for the price. The mani's are $12 and the Pedi's are $20. I brought my daughter and her friend in over the weekend to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Just after we got there 2 women came in with their 2 girls; asked about mani pricing for little girls. They were told $10. The technicians couldn't get my 2 girls out of the pedi chair quick enough. no more than 10 minutes was spent on the pedis and even less time on the manis. The tech didn't even look at the girls nails, she was looking all around her the whole time. When I went to pay I looked at their nails and there was gloopy polish everywhere, all over the cuticles, too. They were the WORST MANICURES I've seen, even if the girls had painted each other's nails. So they charged me $12 per pedi even after quoting $10 to another customer right in front of me and I paid my $64 plus a tip and will NOT be back. Oh, and when I complained the tech told me the mani looked bad because the girls had knocked the nails on the dryer. I must say the other techs stepped in and tried to help and re-do the nails but I didn't have time to stay. They were too busy to do it right the first time so I won't be back. read more

I love boulder nail. I like my cubicles cut slot, and they do a great job. And they work fast and good! The only piece missing for me, is they don't use a razor on the pedicure, to take off heel skin, but use something else, that I don't like as much, as the razor. It's hard to write a review about this place because I never actually got my nails done.. Without warning I sat for 40 minutes in the pedicure chair with my two sisters in water without being helped. Not only this, but someone else walked in, yes only for a fill in. But she should have to wait just like me! She was immediately helped so that is when we decided to walk out.. The WORST PEDICURE EVER!!!!!!! $20.00 down the drain., first of all they don't speak to you at all, just "pick color, sit here, pay now!!!" the first lady on the left hand side doesnt acknowledge you unless you are one of her BIG tippers I guess., the older lady with glasses is the worst, this is the 2nd time I have tried to go there, and unfortunately I got the same lady.. 15 min. pedicures are not worth anyones time. she didnt even file my toenails all my toenails are a different length. I also requested to put an acrylic tip on my big toe (due to spilt right in the middle from previous toe jammed which happened 10 years ago), she said "not a good idea, it will not work for you", I have had it done at another salon and I was willing to pay for it, but she was in a great hurry due to more clients walking in... When it was time to pay is when she decided to finally "try to SMILE and rush me out"...I will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. VERY UNSANITARY DO NOT GO HERE~!!! ***The lady clipping my toenails noticed a hang-nail ON HERSELF, clipped it---then used the SAME cuticle clipper ON MY TOES without even spraying them with alcohol or wiping them off!!!!!! OMG. THIS IS SERIOUSLY HORRIBLE! I cant believe I didn't just get up and leave :( i WAS TOO HORRIFIED. ALSO, My gel manicure looked so messy-that I went to a different salon and had to redo it :( If just my nails looked mediocre I wouldn't even bother writing a review...but the fact that it was such an unsanitary process, AND my nails looked horrible just did it for me. I WILL NEVER GO AGAIN :( still cost me $50 plus for the services) DO NOT GO HERE. When you do not sanitize tools that come into contact with SKIN and possibly BLOOD you SPREAD DISEASE.....like nail fungus's and viruses. VERY IRRESPONSIBLE SALON. I am so upset at myself for not leaving when this happened. and stopping the service. :( read more
