This theater is small, so most of the good seats were taken when we arrived and we arrived 30 Minutes before the movie started. We chose our seats and went inside. At first I thought my chair was broken, but my husband discovered that someone had unplugged it. The seats reclined and they were comfortable. During the previews the volume seemed louder than most movie theaters. At first I put earplugs in my ears, but I eventually took them out when the movie started. This place was clean and the employees were nice. read more

This was a great (and our only option) for a movie theater near downtown Petaluma. Our reasoning for coming here was because we were running a relay race and needed a place to not chill in our van for 3 hours. We saw A Star is Born at 6:30pm on a Friday and the tickets were only $10.50, which in comparison to all movie theaters I've ever been to, this was a steal. In San Francisco, the old theaters still go for over $14 a pop. We were pleasantly surprised with the price. The only downside was that we had to sit in the 2nd row, which is not ideal. They had a book in advance feature that allowed other patrons to take the good seats, however, we weren't too picky and made the most of it. We rolled in with our blankets and looked like a motley crew. To make it more obnoxious, we ordered JUMBO waters. And then requested someone to take a photo of our adventure. I'm sure Petaluma was wondering who these weirdos were, but like I said, we embraced it. And pro tip, everyone and their mother should bring a blanket to the movies, it was a game changer! The theater was clean, had plenty of bathrooms, and the customer service was fabulous - especially after 3 of us walked into the wrong theater and sat down for a movie that had just finished. LOL. The only negative review I have is that the seats fully reclined barely accommodated me at 5 feet 10 inches so everyone taller than that will have to scrunch their legs to fit in the reclined seats. read more

This movie theater is located in the downtown Petaluma district. It has changed throughout the years but continues to be a popular movie theater in the area. Tickets are no longer sold outside the theater but inside at the ticket booth or at the concession stand. They sell alcohol, ice cream and the usual movie theater concessions. I enjoy their variety of beer or wine. The snacks, such as the hot dogs or nachos, have been hit or miss. I usually opt out of movie theater snacks due to food quality. Fairly clean seats! I had bought tickets here for an event through Fathom 3 weeks in advance. when I go to the theater I am informed that they cancelled the screening. I did receive a refund but I was not told at all about this until I actually arrived at the theater. The nearest theater that also had that event is in San Francisco and since I didn't receive any email or prior notification of this cancellation, it was too late to catch it somewhere else. This was a one time thing for two movies that have no wide release in the US and this was the only opportunity. They handled this so poorly and by not saying anything and I am extremely disappointed. I hadn't been here in a while but that's mostly because I'm not really a "go to the movies" type of person. It's just not my thang. I had to make an exception today as I have my niece & nephew for the weekend and wanted to do something fun with them. We decided to watch the new Jumanji and we really enjoyed ourselves. Not only was the movie funny and entertaining but the snacks and reclining seats were pretty amazing too! This theater has improved a bunch and I was certainly impressed. I bought our tickets online and was able to choose what seats we wanted. Definitely like that feature along with the new reclining seats with trays. Way to go!! I do look forward to going to the theaters more often now hehe. read more

Very small theaters I do like the recliners, from the hard to find parking to the bad experiences here I will avoid this theater. The last time my husband and I went we walked up to the counter to buy tickets. Another customer walked right in front of us who was not waiting before we walked up and she essentially cut us in line. When I went up to the counter I kindly said we were standing here waiting when you serviced the other person who cut in front of us first. I expected something nice to be said.. The woman at the ticket counter proceeded to glare at me and say we weren't standing in the right place? As if right in front of her was not close enough. I almost uttered a profanity and left! We were already in a hurry to get into the movie, she should not be helping customers up front. read more

Not really a 4 star review or a 3 star review, I'm more apt to give this 3-1/2 stars. It's still a decent theater, seats were ok, still comfortable but you can tell they have a lot of wear in them and will soon be uncomfortable, they have stadium seating but not "stadium" enough as at 5'2" I still get people blocking my view. I'd give it a B to B+ for cleanliness (can't say anything about the restrooms as I did not venture in there but the last time I was in there several years ago it was clean), and like any other theater it is over priced for tickets, food, drinks. Went there to see Beauty & The Beast and was surprised at how stuffy & hot the theater was and how there was absolutely no air circulation at all. One would think that if the theater is packed, is it was in this case, they would have some air in there but they didn't. Would I go back again? Probably since it is the only theater in town but only if a movie I wanted to see was playing there and I was dying to see it. There is street parking, but why worry about the 2 hour minimum block parking when you can use the parking garage for more time with no worries (unless it's the wee hours of the morning then there are time restraints) about being ticketed or towed, and there's ample parking spots. read more

Was surprised to see this theater in a smaller town. Bought tickets online but theater didn't have device to scan them so we had to print them out at a self serve station (seems like an unnecessary step). Got some snacks (they serve wine!) and the popcorn is the best theater popcorn I've had in years! Loved the recliners in the theater. However the leg part was not padded and a little painful after an hour with legs stretched out. Had to get a staff member as previews started playing but nothing showed on screen. I love this theater. I have two little kids and we come for kids movies. The seating is so comfortable and I like that they require reservations during the pandemic. We use to go all the time pre-pandemic and everything was great. I think it's is even better now and have gone twice recently. It's very, very clean. The seats are large and spacious. The popcorn is never cold or stale. The prices are reasonable. The people are nice. Movie goers have been seated far apart. It's so awesome that you pick your seats in advance. Everyone stayed masked unless eating. I felt very safe and comfortable and will return frequently! read more

What I like about this theater is that you can easily book tickets online and select your seats. It is small with 10 screens and is never crowded. Thus far I have always been able to see the latest release; Black Panther, Star Wars, Mission Impossible and even the controversial one's like The Hate You Give and Get Out. While the bathrooms and theater themselves are always clean, the floor at the entrance is perpetually covered in popcorn. Its as if they sprinkle the ground with it regularly. Hence the 3-star rating. I haven't had popcorn or a drink here so I can't comment on the quality of the popcorn. The staff is always friendly and I have noticed that they must have an amazing leadership team that implements diverse hiring practices. There are a number of staff that are either disabled or have a special need. I like a company that provides opportunities for work to all qualified candidates. Popcorn floor or not Boulevard has my respect. Parking is aplenty wether on the street or in the free parking garage 1 block away. Let's go to the movies! read more

There is enough room from seat to seat where you don't have to feel like a stranger sitting next to you needs to buy you dinner first to be that close. I'm not a theater buff. I want comfortable seats, good views and great sound. Two out of three wasn't bad for our recent trip to see Jurassic World. The seats were comfortable but having only one side with an exit meant a lot of people walking in front of us during the movie. The rows were close and though legroom isn't an issue for me, it was for the person sitting next to me. His legs definitely had to stretch into "my" space. Hmm. It's technically stadium seating, I guess, but not in my sense of the word. I'm 5'4" and I had the top of someone's head in my way the whole time. Just slightly, but that doesn't happen at the other theaters. Sound was good but the screen felt small for the type movie. read more

I'm a fan of this movie location. Reclining seats are found to be clean and of a leather-like fabric. This allows for cleaner seating than cloth seats - Less opportunity for head lice. LOL - it's really a thing for one to be conscious of. They offer wine for those over 21 - at a cost for a small glass. Ice cream is available, although I found, my selection to be stale. But, I know others enjoy. The food stand seems clean and I would give a good rating. The lines inside and outside are fast plus the kiosk offers one the opportunity to find their seat selection much faster. The restrooms are clean-ish for a high traffic area however, at least one stall is out of order on most occasions. The movie selection is good and well within travel distance from Novato. In fact, closer than theaters in Corte Madera. Parking is available nearby and this is a nice location to find nightlife, dining, and a good movie opportunity. read more

I'm not a big "go to the movies" person but some movies have to be experienced on the big screen. This is a great little theater to have that experience. I've been coming here off and on since it opened and always have a positive experience. The service is friendly and efficient and the lobby is kept clean as are the restrooms etc. The refreshment counter offers Three Twin ice cream if you enjoy a scoop while you view a flick. I don't but I think it's cool. Other than that it's pretty much you're usually movie fare (popcorn, sodas, bottled beverages, hot dogs, pizza etc). You can also order a beer... yep, to get you through the latest kid flick with the munchkins you can slurp down a Lagunitas and relax a little. You can now enjoy a more comfortable home-like feel in the recliner theaters. This is my big draw. The theaters are kept very clean and in good operating condition (no broken seats, or sticky floors). The recliner theaters offer viewers mor personal space and are comfy enough. And they actually recline. I giggle a little every time the movie is about to start and I hear the seats squeak as the audience puts up their feet and settles in. Bonus, a nice size tray and attached cup holder that holds even the largest beverage cup size. You can lay out all your snacks and drinks right in front of you on your own tray and enjoy as the cinematic thrill unfolds before you. Not all theaters are recliner seats and make sure you reserve ahead of time to get seats with your entire group and get the seats you prefer. It's a great way to ease the rush to find seats you want in a packed theater. Another added bonus of the recliners, the tall guy sitting in front of you does not obstruct your view! Where should I even begin?! Oh wait, I know! The health department came in and shut them down because they found an excessive rat problem in ALL of the theaters! I come in on the day that they were shut down to see our movie and found this information out! They offer me a movie voucher, 2 of them and never actually offered me a refund! At that time, I had no idea it was a RAT issue and this is why they were shut down! I go in today, Wednesday, Jan 10th at 4pm and this nasty and rude manager with a beard comes out with his awful attitude! Starts questioning me, shouting at me, and asks me while he's yelling at me, SO YOU ARE SAYING, YOU WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN?! I said, NOPE! He refused to refund me, has a horrible attitude and slammed the register and walked away! What an awful management team! Unprofessional! He needs a wake up call, real quick! DO NOT come here! Favorite movie theatre. I live literally one min.'s walk from this cool theatre. I try to take my friends and family here when they come to visit me in Petaluma. Good prices: $6 before 6pm, otherwise $9. They just added D-BOX seating, and right now it's only being showed for the new Spiderman movie. Those were pretty neat to try out. The setting overall is very comfortable; stadium seating. I believe there are 14 rooms..? They show some good movies. Doesn't smell funky and it's clean. They even have an electronic kiosk that allows you to purchase tickets there too. Parking available on the street and/or in the parking garage. I suggest getting your candy from Powell's Candy Shop, which is close by located at Theatre Square before watching your movie. read more

This review is for the chairs! (Everything else is pretty run of the mill theater) If you have been you know what I mean. They have the recliners now with the snack table. Chairs are pretty comfy on their own but then you add the easy adjust electric recliner buttons you've got a nice theater experience. I saw a long movie and I have a bad back. I would usually not make it or be damn near not able to walk after a movie like that in normal seats. These recliners are a back saver. I was able to watch the whole movie and adjust as needed without disturbing anyone! There is plenty of leg room. People can walk by without having to lower the foot portion, Plus you sit in groups of two which gives a little more space and privacy. Will make an effort to see movies in the recliners as much as possible. read more

Assigned seating. What a stupid idea. If I wanted seating that reclined and had a tray, I'd stay home and enjoy the movie from my sofa and on my big screen, with my own wine, snacks, and breaks as needed. Here are the problems: 1. The option to chose who you site by is taken away from you. 2. If the asshole next to you talks, constantly texts, or chews loudly like a goat, you can't move. You're stuck in your seat. 3. You are too far away from other family members sitting next to you, you might as well go alone. Try taking a date there. It's like sitting in a dentist chair two feet apart. How stupid is that. 4. For now, the prices are reasonable, but in short order they will raise the prices to match the reduction in seat count. Then, they will offer wine and cheese and other B.S., to up-sell and side-sell you on shit, to make you feel special. 5. It is a stupid gimmick for the sake of differentiating in a commodity business. If you're a sucker for that, than I have some other shit for sale you may like. We walked in with the kids, took one look at the process of seat selection, decided to inspect the set-up in the theater and subsequently fell sick to our stomachs as it reminded us of flying, and how f___ed up that experience is of late. We came back with a resounding F_CK NO, we'll rather go to the Rohnert Park theater, and we did. We shall never go to this theater again. read more
