    Cinnamon Roll French Toast

It's early morning and we dropped off the vehicle at Mazda for a check up and our stomachs needed some fuel. So we decided on Boulevard Cafe and what a great choice, we were greeted by Don who was also our server. He was knowledgeable of menu because the Cinnamon Fresh toast was delicious . My wife sunny side up eggs was sausage patties was a hit. Overall we will return for the food, service and welcoming atmosphere, the hard wood decor makes me want to take a nap after a hearty breakfast.

Service was good. I did have an issue with my toast. It was really just sliced bread, think they forgot to toast it lol! Hated having to ask for more but the server brought out a new plate of fresh toast really quickly. Never seen this place not be busy. Give it a try!

This place is really cute. The decor is very Texas cafe and it was very clean inside. The servers were really helpful and efficient. They have a wide range on the menu from all day breakfast, sandwiches, salads and handhelds. We were a big party of 8 they moved tables around to fit us and we got our food in good time. I had the chicken and waffles. The waffle was big and fluffy in the shape did Texas, so good and the chicken tenders were juicy. All of my friends enjoyed their meals. I would define come back and try something else

They just never disappoint. Owner walks around and makes sure you're ok. Who does that anymore? Every bite is what it should be. Well balanced, homemade food. It's what so many places wish they were. Why is it so hard dot get REAL mashed potatoes? Boulevard Cafe has them. Why is it so hard to get homemade biscuits? Boulevard Cafe has them. Homemade desserts? Yep. Those too. Listen, just go and be thankful. Everything is good.

Driving in Davis we always see this cafe and got curious so we tried it out. It's in my city so might as well support it. Went here on a Sunday after church and it is packed. Food was tasty and comes in big servings. The service was great; servers were receptive and attentive. Ambience was a typical breakfast/lunch place--a bit loud because it is packed and people kept coming. Met the owner Sal who periodically goes table to table to check and make sure everything is ok and served to our liking. We found our breakfast go-to. Not only was the food good but we're also supporting our local community. We'll definitely be back.

If your looking for an all American breakfast this is the cafe. Our waitress Elizabteh was kind to point out the highlights of the menu along with providing great hospitality during our meal. I ordered the Creole Shrimp Benny and couldn't have been more satisfied with my hearty meal. The ingredients were fresh and seasoned well all on an affordable budget. Luckily my friend didn't want her biscuit so I was able to ask for a side of gravy to try as a side dish. Loved my meal in its entirety and excited to go back and try their cinnamon roll pancakes next!

We saw some reviews and decided to give this a try. We came one Sunday morning and was a particularly cold morning so it wasn't terribly busy. The inside is decorated very nicely and looks like it's been updated quite a bit. The staff was a little underwhelming. Several of the waitresses seemed to stand in the restaurant for 10 or 15 minutes at a time just chitchatting until a boss came around and told him to get busy. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and it was just so so . There wasn't enough spices to give it flavor. I had to use salt and pepper quite a bit. The eggs and bacon and sausage were just so so as well nothing that really wowed me. The French toast was good and I have to give them credit for that. What I really wasn't impressed with was a three dollar black cup of coffee. That's a bit much for a café.

After a post-Pilates glow-up, my girlfriends and I decided to treat ourselves to a cozy brunch spot--and Boulevard Café did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and relaxed, like the kind of place that knows how to do comfort without sacrificing charm. I ordered the Texan omelette (loaded and flavorful), paired with crispy hash browns and one cinnamon roll pancake... and let me tell you, that pancake deserves its own spotlight. Perfectly fluffy with just the right touch of cinnamon sweetness--it was the kind of bite that makes you pause mid-convo and say, "Y'all. This is it." Service was friendly, food came out quick, and the vibe was just right for catching up and winding down. I'll definitely be back--and next time, I'm getting a full stack of those cinnamon roll pancakes. No regrets.

The food was beyond amazing and the waitress was fast, attentive, and friendly. The coffee!!! Well, it's been quite awhile since I've had decent coffee at a restaurant but the coffee here was wonderful. The only drawback to this café is they aren't open long enough.

Me and my wife were in the area looking for a place to eat and this place popped up.It had great reviews so we decided to go here.As we walked in it's a pretty good size place with plenty of tables. The lady sit us down and not long afterwards our waitress came to our table and gave us menus. As I looked at the menu it was pretty extensive. It had a little bit of everything. It was about 11:30 and I was deciding weather to eat breakfast or lunch.I was leaning to breakfast but as I was scrolling down the menu I saw a patty melt and decided to go with it because I love patty melts and it's been a long time since I've had one.Well I should've went with my gut feeling and went with the breakfast.Because this patty melt wasn't near as good as I was expecting. The bread wasn't as crispy as it should've been and it just didn't resemble a patty melt to me.Ive definitely had way better. And I really didn't care for the fries that much. I only ate a couple and left the rest.My wife got the Swiss mushroom burger and she said hers was pretty good.I guess I just picked the wrong plate. The breakfast looked really good so next time I'll be getting it.

While there, a lady came in with her mother, the owner of the establishment came out to greet her in a way a friend would greet another. When you're wanting something that feels genuine and from the heart, this will be a cafe I'd recommend. Everyone, knows someone, even if meeting as strangers over coffee or nibbles of sweet pastries. Heck, you can throw in some games to that, as well. As someone stated in a previous review, it seems as if everyone who works there, truly loves being there. It isn't a chore, it isn't about rushing to get to the next drink preparation, they're, there to make sure you have the best experience in the place they nurture for others to enjoy. I appreciate that. Blueberry Matcha: I'm a fan, but not a fan of matcha. To explain, not everyone knows how to balance the taste of matcha. It's either way too earthy/gritty or not sweet enough, it has been rare that someone knows how to balance that combination. I have never tried a blueberry matcha and was excited to see this was one of our options. This was superb. The blueberry wasn't in syrup form, it was a blueberry foam that added the perfect amount of flavor and sweetness. This is something I'd get again, and again. Too many people ruin matcha's with syrup that swims on the bottom, here, not even. Seasonal: White Chocolate Rose Scone I'll admit, I'm not a scone person. The scones I've tried in the past, were hard and flaky and that's what turned me away from there. But this scone was soft and moist, I truly enjoyed every bite. I am now open to trying others, but only at this cafe. Cheddar Chive Biscuit: My favorite. Well, my favorite is their Pepper Jack Jalapeno Biscuit, so this will be my second. I warmed it up and added a touch of butter, OOOHHWEEEE, it more than hit the spot. I can't wait to have one again. With this latest visit, I learned they alternate their biscuits monthly and they have calendars available to remind their patrons. There are several I'd love to try and thankfully, they're being served on my days off. This is such a beautiful establishment, that's inside and out.

There's even a little corner with a bookcase and games, right next to the WiFi password--such a thoughtful touch! The owner also shares a monthly baking schedule, which is super helpful if you want to plan ahead and place orders for the office, friends, or family. I even noticed an Easter order form available for anyone needing some last-minute holiday treats! They also feature monthly drink menus, which keeps things fun and interesting if you like trying something new. The music is lightly playing in the background--just enough to set the mood without overpowering conversation or your peaceful time. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to

They also shared that the employee helping me was in her first week, which gave helpful context to the situation. As a kind gesture, they sent me a $10 gift card, which I thought was very thoughtful. When I came back in to use it, they recognized my name from the situation and took the time to talk with me in person and explain everything again. That really meant a lot and showed how much they care about their customers. Customer service and communication go a long way, and I'm grateful for the way they handled everything. I'm looking forward to continuing to support them. Old review: Melby's has really great drinks and the atmosphere is honestly one of the reasons I keep going back. It's a cozy spot and the coffee itself is consistently good. That said, the customer service can be hit or miss. The employees often come across as a bit unpleasant, which takes away from the experience. One thing that's especially frustrating is their refusal to allow personal cups. Almost every other coffee shop I visit is happy to accommodate this, and it doesn't require much effort, many places simply set the cup on the counter and pour the drink without even touching it. It's a small thing, but it makes a difference for customers who are trying to reduce waste or just prefer using their own cup. I really do like Melby's drinks and vibe, but improving the customer service and being a little more flexible with simple requests like personal cups would make the experience much better.

At the same time, my alcohol tolerance is horrible and I just would not have been able to handle any wine or other drink with alcohol. Thus, I could not enjoy the specialties of this establishment. Instead, I got the chicken pesto sandwich. Although quite unassuming, the sandwich was incredibly delicious. The ciabatta bread offered just the right amount of toast and texture to hold everything. There was a sizeable chicken breast. Not dry but also not too flavorful by itself but that's okay. The pesto really delivered on the flavor with a savory, nutty, and slightly herbal flavor. To name a few there's creme brulee, charcoal honey, ube, pandan...along with all the regular flavors. The pastries are good, they are average, which is still a good thing. Ham & cheese came out flaky. :) Presentation is beautiful. Sometimes I'll go there midday & there's not alot to choose from so it will prevent me from getting a snack. Charcuterie & wine is available but I haven't ordered any of those. A fun atmosphere, along the wall are built in seats with chairs on the opposite end of the table. Other seating includes table with benches (beware you can't move the benches to get in & out, if I'm wrong I apologize), then some a few tables with chairs by the windows, on the other side they do have benches facing each other with tables in between (great for groups!), & beautiful outdoor patio seating. They have a small upstairs with chairs & use wine barrels as tables. Clever! Customer service is okay, let me say that every person there has been extremely pleasant but out of the four times I've been there, only once I didn't have an issue. They seem to enough their jobs & working together, which is a green flag for any place, but sometimes they get distracted. One time I stood there & staff was chatting in the corner, a good amount of time passed before anyone noticed me. Another time, they just forgot my drink (it was the only thing in my order) & there were no other order left... the group was again chatting away with with each other, then during another visit they forgot my croissant. Each time they did apologize, but three out of four times aren't good odds. I probably won't frequent this location as much, but I will stop by once in awhile because their drinks are worth it.
