A hidden gem for sure! I see why Guy from Diners Dive In and Drives came here in 2011! Food: Everything we ate was delicious! I did not expect too much but the honey old bay wings were fresh, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. The neptune sandwich was big, fresh, and full of flavor. They make the cheese sauce in house and you need it on the loaded tots, trust me. Service: Our server was quick and attentive. She was always around if needed and brought things out quickly. Vibe: This is an older restaurant so keep that in mind, the interior shows that. A true classic diner. Parking: Big free parking lot Pricing: Very reasonable for the portion sizes

The food was delicious and the portions are large. The service was excellent and it was fast. The decorations bring back a lot of memories from the 60s.

Boulevard Diner is a unique dinning experience and embraces the cuisine of Baltimore and Maryland. They serve items such as Maryland Crab Cakes, crab soup and incredible seafood dishes. This restaurant was also featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. I ordered crab soup, a small portion of Shrimp Creole (which was not small in portion size, just small in price), and a slice of chocolate and vanilla cream cake. Every part of my meal was outstanding, and the service was amazing. If you want to try the native cuisine of Baltimore, this is the place to go.

The food was definitely a banger. Everything I ordered was inexpensive and greatly portioned. I came here with my dad due to his recommendation, and boy did he not disappoint. I order the Maryland Crab Soup (the cup size) and their basic pancake breakfast. You would think a $6 cup of crab soup would use maybe imitation crab, but NO it was real, legit crab. Clumps of it too, they were not skimpy on the meat. The basic pancake breakfast was good as well. It came with toast and pancakes which was A LOT for me haha, so I should've opted for fruit. Overall the food was amazing. The service was very good too. My dad has a lot of dietary restrictions, and our waitress accommodated all of it. She was very patient and very sweet. Other than our waitress, everyone else was so kind as well. Just a very welcoming atmosphere. The decor of the place was very... interesting haha. Whoever originally designed the diner loved Elvis. It was a little tacky but still so cute. Overall though, I will be back, very good experience.

All the food I saw looked great. My Reuben was excellent. Service was efficient and friendly. Will come back here again. See my pics first the Reuben and a Meatball

Hostess seemed less than thrilled to be working lol. Our server was friendly though. I got the country bird bowl which is fried chicken topped with cheese, bacon, onion rings, and a cream sauce over mashed potatoes. The chicken was well cooked and it had the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. The biscuits were good, but the mashed potatoes had no flavor and they weren't smooth. They had a weird chunky consistency, almost like the potatoes weren't cooked long enough. My friend got the hot rod meatloaf which is topped with pork, Mac and cheese, and cream sauce and also on top of mashed potatoes. The pork was really good! The meatloaf had a weird consistency and the flavor wasn't that great. The mac and cheese was nice and creamy though. Overall not a bad meal, but nothing to write home about.

What a place! Busy but fast and great food. We need more places that offer the variety of foods and hustling staff that Boulevard Diner has. If you have an idea of what you want I suggest still reviewing the large menu. It may surprise you, change your mind and still satisfy you. I'm not local but plan to visit on every trip to the area.

Amazing Diner!!!…read more Mad flavor! Great prices! Good service! Nice quantities! Amazing homemade desserts! A must try if you are ever in the area. Also I think they have a name change (Red Cup Diner).

This place was a one-and-done experience for us. Never again!!…read more My husband and I ended up here after the Dave Chappelle show because our original dinner plans fell through when the restaurant was fully booked. We should have made reservations, but at that point, all we wanted was a decent meal (nothing fancy) after a long workweek and then to head home. Unfortunately, a decent meal didn't happen. The food was some of the worst we've had in a long time. My husband actually spit food into his napkin, shook his head, and said, "I'm done." I've never seen him do that before. Several dishes were simply inedible. The mashed potatoes were bland and flavorless--how do you mess up mashed potatoes? The potato salad was equally bland and disappointing. The French onion soup had very little broth and was overloaded with a thick layer of hardened cheese. Overall, the food tasted cheap and poorly prepared, yet the prices suggested otherwise. It felt like diner-quality food being sold at premium prices. What made the experience even more frustrating was the manager's response. He came to our table after hearing about our concerns, but instead of focusing on the quality issues we raised, he seemed more concerned that my husband refused to order a replacement meal. That spoke volumes about where the priorities were. The one bright spot was our server, who was attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the meal. No complaints regarding the server as he was extremely apologetic with our experience. To our surprise, the restaurant also added an automatic gratuity to our bill. Ironically, had that not been done, we likely would have tipped our server more because he was not the problem. The kitchen and management were. No, I didn't complain about the tip after I noticed it on our bill. We were over the experience and just wanted to pay and get the hell out of there. Save yourself the disappointment and spend your hard earned money elsewhere. We certainly wish we had. Gordon Ramsay, if you're looking for a future Kitchen Nightmares episode, this place could desperately use the help. P.S. A business name change is not going to help with the quality of the food. Do better and prove that you actually care about your customers, not just the $$.

The good prices and generous portions are just the ribbon on the prize. The dinner, I had the veal cutlet. Wow. The veal was the size of my head, and cooked just right. The gravy had just the right consistency. Breakfast on Saturday was an early one, and I had the country fried steak. Again, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Sunday breakfast I tried the chipped beef. It had ALL the flavor and wasn't gritty tasting like some other diners. The service is ALWAYS friendly and fast, I've never had to wait for a seat, and my food comes out piping hot. The coffee is always fresh and they leave plenty of creamer. Parking is a little tight but not insane. Last but not least, they bring the check in a reasonable amount of time. I hate waiting forever for the check. The restaurant is clean, and brightly painted. There is also counter seating if you're flying solo. Definitely a place with local color, I think I found my new favorite spot on the Dundalk/Essex side of town!!!

The fries were ok. Looking around the place I noticed the He-Man movie items, which was cute. They also had some crazy He-Man food items, which I passed on but someone's kiddo's would love it. I did have to try the claw machine after my meal, which after 7 attempts I gave up. The meal came to $ 19.98 for burger, fries and a drink. You know with today's economy it wasn't bad. I think it's worth mentioning that I've never had pit beef before so I am by no means an expert as to what's good or not. I will also say however, that what I ordered, the open face pit beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy was ok. The entire plate was swimming in gravy so that took away from what could've been a better meal. I did ask for gravy on the whole sandwich and the mashed potatoes (because the picture on their website looked like gravy only came on the mashed potatoes and I do like a little extra) but I wasn't expecting a to-go box literally full of gravy, so that's probably my fault. The texture of the beef mixed with all the gravy and mashed potatoes was a bit unpleasant and soupy and I periodically had to pick burnt bits and foil out my mouth so that also took away from the experience. They seem to have a pretty vast menu and I had no idea what I was going to get when I walked in. The young lady that took my order was very friendly and helped me come to my decision so the customer service was good and I appreciated her patience with me. As far as ambiance goes, while I was waiting for my order, there was an older man waiting for his order that was yelling at the tv about how Joe Biden hasn't done anything for this country and that Trump only told the truth. I try not to get caught up in politics with strangers because it really can be off putting but what can you do. I wouldn't do the gravy with a side of open face pit beef sandwich again but there's so many other options I'd like to try in the future should I find myself in the area again. A man that was also waiting for his order said he really like the ribs.
