Not the cleanest place somewhat pricy but the kids had a great time . Probably wouldn't go back just because I've had better bounce places

Great place for a children's party. Air Conditioned on these hot summer days. Why make a mess at home.

Not only was the Boardwalk Bullet a blast and a half to ride, but my back and neck were A-OK after I got off. No problem with whiplash whatsoever! One of the smoothest wooden rollercoasters I've ever been on, in fact. If you are 100+ years old, frail, barely able to walk and such, but yet you're trying to decide whether or not you should try a ride on the Boardwalk Bullet, I assure you, you'll be fine! Just make sure to wear your Depends, though.

This is review #1000 for me (should be #1002, but I won't go into the details of why two of them…read morewere removed, grrrr), so it had to be special. How about this: #1000, I'm the first one to write a review on it, and one of the great rollercoasters in the country. The Boardwalk Bullet opened in 2007 a few feet from Galveston Bay. It's a woodie, and it's a crazy one. I had heard that the Texas Cyclone was relocated here from Astroworld, that DID NOT happen, these are two very different coasters. From a distance, it looks like it would be a lot of fun. The reality is much greater. First, you're waiting in line, and when the train zips under you, the entire structure shakes. Second, there is a place to put your hat, purse, phone, etc.; loose articles are prohibited. If you're nervous about riding, simply step through the train and leave, although you just lost $6 by doing so. If you do sit down, you're in for a thrill. I rode near the back, but I don't think there's a lot of difference between front and back. The Bullet never slows down from the first drop to the finish. There are three big drops, and they're all gnarly. The big feature, indeed is speed: although it barely goes over 50mph, the turns are tight, the drops are sudden, and you have only a split second to prepare for anything. The Bullet packs a lot into a small space, which makes it more intense than 80mph on a 200-foot drop. Its high noise level increases the excitement level. It's like a smaller version of the Ghost Rider in California's Knott's Berry Farm: smaller, shorter, but the same out-of-control feel. Some coasters are yawners. Others have you say "hey, that was pretty good." The Boardwalk Bullet is one of those that you'll want to ride again and again and again.

Firstly, any business that supports specials needs is already great in my book. I read reviews of the long lines, so I gave myself an extra 30 minutes to get there. It was not needed at all. Yes, the line was long, but I purchased tickets online so I didn't have to wait in line for that, and as soon as the clock struck 8pm, the line moved very quickly. We didn't wait for longer than a few minutes. My kiddos thought the wait would be long (and so did I) so they went off to the playground to kill time. Little did I know as soon as they made it, doors were opening so I had to get out of line to go get them then get at the end of the line. Even with that, I'd say it was less than two minutes of waiting. Once inside, I noticed the park was very clean. There was plenty of seating as well as tubes available. The kids opted to spend almost all of their time in the lazy river. Warning: it moves a little fast. I had trouble keeping up lol. There are regular lifeguards that are on the deck observing the kiddos, and there are guards that are actually inside the water interacting with the kids. My two boys were paired with such a sweet angel that gave them the BEST experience. Towards the end of the night, another guard joined them. The boys were on their backs racing and showing off their "tricks." The girls even took them on two of the rides (which I wouldn't have taken them as I am terrified of even the slightest thrill rides). I wish I would have gotten the girls' names as they really took care of my boys. I didn't order any food as the event was only two hours long, and we ate dinner before we left, but food was available for sale, and you also have the option of bringing your own. I brought water for everyone, but we were in the water the whole time so we didn't get to it. Next time, I'll leave it in the car so I don't have to tote anything around.

However, we were gifted a Groupon so that's how we knew about OUAC. When we went it was a cloudy and rainy day so it wasn't crowded at all, which was nice. The place was unique because it had many different stations and activities for your kids to play. It's like a huge Montessori playground. My boys loved the train ride and riding on the dinosaurs the most. I like that the place includes both indoor and outdoor stations. The place seems rather small compared to an amusement park like Six Flags, but it's just enough. Kids can easily spend 30 minutes - 1 hour in just one location so I really like how they can enjoy their time and casually play without parents feeling overwhelmed to get everything done to maximize the amount of money spent. We didn't host a birthday party here, but there were other parties booked. I don't know how much it costs, but let me say that the decorations were beautiful! I'm not sure if it was included or if the parents decorated themselves, but if you wanted to go all out for your child, you certainly can. The staff were also ALL super sweet and friendly! The place plans for everything, like rain. They had numerous umbrellas for patrons to use within the grounds. When it started to rain, all the staff were asking if we needed umbrellas, and one even was willing to run in the rain to get us one! Seriously, I've never seen such hospitality in an establishment from everyone! I also would recommend going here on a weekend because according to their website, more stations and activities are open during that time. Even if it's more crowded, I think it is worth it. If you want to do something different for your child, then I would recommend this place!

I went with my family for my son's birthday, as we do annually, a tradition that's about 8 years old. We went prior and post COVID. But over time it's gotten very meh. Glad there's no loyalty program, this park it awful. TLDR: It was a Saturday, yesturday (07/19). We arrived early like we always do. We had to purchase a ticket at the gate for a friend for a whooping $87. It was never this high despite corporate takeover & website's claims of no prices changes. We all thought, okay for that amount it must be good. Nope- Terrible. Half of the rides were closed. The very rides they boasted about online, were closed. The only fun & thrills you got was seeing your money vanish. Half the restrooms were closed. Most of the food huts were closed. My son usually gets the works when we go. So whatever he wants to do/eat, we do that. Overpriced food is one of those things. But there was no Dippin Dots or no pizza spots opened. No smell of their usual bbq station. My husband said he passed by a hut that offered chicken strips. Online they claim there's 16 food locations. My butt there was 16. Some of the little huts look like they hadn't been used in a year. (But it's still mid summer people! So it's busy!) Plenty of full stocked empty drink fountains though, *yawn.* Yet it was sunny, then mildly cloudy, and scorching-hot sunny again. I'll paint a picture: Last year they still had many rides opened even during a summer storm warning. One year people on the MASSIV ride got stuck 2x in an 2-3 hour period, guess what? They still fixed it & reopened it within a few hours. They were having life guard training. Weird. Not because they were having it during regular hours. (that's not the first time we've came & they had it. they almost always do.) It's weird because it looked like they closed off most of park for it? (Most modern theme parks give notice of closed rides, renovations, etc. Not them, they think the element of suprise is still cute.) This was the 1st time it felt like a waste of money & trip to Galveston. The entire park has never felt like an over priced swimming pool before. Yes. We paid for an over priced swimming pool because the lazy river that has a "thrill" portion was down too. It was just that. The lines were too long for the little bit of slides they did have open. The lazy river basically was my gateway to see entire park & it was bad. A couple of slides had water running but not once did they open it. Here's the river kicker: can't ride lazy river without a life jacket or wrist band. To get wrist band you must sign waiver. But life jackets are requried for everyone that doesn't sign a waiver. The waiver is only for those 18+. The waiver isn't mentioned until you get into the lazy river by an employee. Glorious, you get to waste time walking back to the front to sign a form that should have been on their website, NOT app. I don't want your terrible 2-bit app. I overheard others complain about that. Sure you can take QR route & sign but guess what? You have to download the app and STILL get in line to get the wrist band. You saved 0 time. We usually make it a thing to go from open to close. We left early. No use, or need to stay any longer. Nothing changed. Nothing open else opened up. Packed picnics lunches for nothing. Do better Sclitterbahn or you'll be a thingof the past like Jungle Surf.
