This place is tooo good. I got the French toast and chicken wings. The bread they use is top tier. It sort of melts in your mouth. I got a side of beef bacon with my kids waffle meal. So yummy! The flower on my lemonade added a cute touch. I wish I took pictures. I'll go again and document it lol. We had the sweetest waitress also. We decided to go out for brunch at the last minute and were told we needed reservations. The restaurant was pretty empty, so I was a little confused, but we ended up getting a table after about 15 minutes. Our waitress was really sweet and the service was okay. However, the rest of the staff--including the manager--was not friendly, warm, or welcoming, which I didn't like. On the positive side, the food was good and came out fast. They don't serve alcohol, so it's BYOB. They do have juice. The space is small inside but very cute. read more

Celebrated the morning of my birthday here with my mother--My mommy has been to the Mount Airy location previously, but this was both of our first time here. The restaurant does have parking... lot was a little jack up but there is parking nonetheless. Initially I ordered the blue raspberry lemonade which tastes like a sour blue popsicle; my mom liked it but it wasn't my favorite so instead I ordered a mango iced tea which was fabulous and so good that I didn't even get a picture of it. We decided to eat family style and share our dishes so we ordered a side of the fried fish which was truly the highlight of our visit--Super fresh, scrumptiously crispy and seasoned to perfection. The seafood omelette was okay; not too sure it needed the salmon and the home fries that came with it weren't good at all. The grits had potential as the seafood was good but I honestly believe I had more butter than grits... The equation was a bit off there. Met my daughter here for her birthday on this rainy morning. This is my first time at this location as they have three. Upon pulling up to the place the parking lot was pretty full, it's a small lot for about 10 cars. As I walked in the Ambiance and esthetics caught my attention. The decor was beautiful and the place was clean. Glad we were able to walk in with no wait time as I hear it can be very busy and long wait. Our waitress was Heidi she was very welcoming and answered our questions about the menu. We placed our drink orders coffee, and blue raspberry lemonade. Then we placed our food orders and we split our meals. We ordered the Seafood Omelet, the Seafood Grits, a side of fried fish (whiting). The seafood omelet had spinach, cheese, salmon, shrimp. It was OK but I could do without the salmon in my omelet. The Seafood Grits were good but a little too much butter for my tummy. The fish was amazing, it was fresh and hot. My review is based on my personal preferences and no way to discourage anyone from trying what they want. Again we had a great time and will definitely be back to try other options. After waiting 45 min for my food. I was served hot eggs & grits and luke warm fried fish. People were seated after me & was served their fiod before me. I have been to their other locations, great service. Here poor. As I was waiting a server asked to take the condiments from my table. Brought a friend here to catch up. We had plenty of time to catch up because the wait was unacceptable. There was a 20 minute wait to be seated which was fine and moved quickly. We appreciated that Jade, the manger, kept us updated. Once we were seated it took a while for our server to come to take our order. She was pleasant. From the time our order was taken to receiving our food, we waited 45min to an hour. It seemed as though there was only one server. Other people were waiting long for their food as well. We split the Boutique burger (which was okay), shrimp and grits (also just okay), and the buttermilk pancakes (pancakes are always good, our eggs were forgotten). What a lovely place for brunch, they are only open for breakfast and lunch. I suggest you make reservations and go no later than 11am, because there's a crowd after that. The food is so on point, I had the seafood omelet which was fantastic, with a side of grits. It's kinda pricey, and the gratuity is included for bill over $80 and for large parties. The service was good, our waitress Brittany was very friendly and wonderful. However, you can tell the service lacks when it gets busier, because checkout could have gone smoother, they can improve with that. The flies by the door was a little bothersome, however, this will not hinder me from coming back. The food was very delish. read more

We went to the Boutique River Falls on the Sunday of the Philadelphia marathon. Fortunately, we walked as all of the streets were blocked off because of the race. That definitely affected their business so the staff were very attentive. I ordered the eggs florentine and asked for the sauce on the side. They got it right! My husband had cheesy grits with fried whiting and said it was very good. It's a nice place and I will definitely go back. Reading a lot of the other reviews, I think I'm happy that their weren't a lot of other customers there - they focused on us. read more

Im going to give this establishment a 1. We arrived there at 12:19pm, we walked out at 2:25pm, without eating. Around 1:45 I asked a female who was indicating she was the Manager, did this big party of 16 slow them down. She said, no, a catered order of chicken clogged their fryer, and they were a little behind. She offered cornbread to us. Thats the only reason they got 1 star. It is extremely disrespectful to have customers wait for food, like customer time isn't valuable. If they would have said to me, when we arrived, our kitchen is running 1 hour behind, that would have given me the option to say, ill wait. I was bothered with my family because, they didn't say anything on the wait. I left my phone home this morning, so I was not aware of the time. My daughter and I ate at the germantown ave location a few weeks ago, and I was pleased with my overall experience. Don't even know about the food yet. I've literally been sitting here for 1hr 15mins waiting for my food. I didn't order an appetizer or drinks or anything special. Just a main meal and water with lemon. This is ridiculous. Always try to support black owned, but this is one of the reasons I'm turning away from that. So I was invited to the Boutique, having never been here, I'm so happy visited and I will be back!!! The customer services and the food were the stars of this visit!! We walked in and were met with pleasant staff thanking us for deciding to spend our time there, which I thought was very impressive. Our wait staff were kind and attentive to us and in the dining area in general. The food was absolutely delicious, I had the cinnamon swirl pancake, vegan sausage and egg. All of which was just good. The pancakes were not dry, had a perfect crisp on the edges and were the right color!!! I was beyond impressed because pancakes are such a common dish that I don't believe much effort is put into them. The Boutique gave me hope for the future of pancakes!!! The sausages and eggs were great also!! No complaints at all. The dining area is very nice, the walls are covered in an elegant pattern. There are tables strategically placed about, the space is not super large, but comfortable enough for a large party. The 90's R&B is the vibe of the atmosphere, I was there about an hour and half and loved every minute of hearing songs of yesteryear!!! A total plus!!! All-in-All I loved this place and will be back. The food was good, although the wait was insane, but theambiance was nice and made the wait tolerable. Most of the staff was pleasant and professional, but our waitress was tired and forgetful. She was trying her best, but she should have taken the day off. She was short and dismissive. The prices were tolerable, except for the $7.00 charge for bottle setup. It's BYOB, but they charge you for glasses and the ice bucket. WTH I've never heard of such foolishness at a restaurant. A club, sure, but not at an eatery. I give them 3/5. read more

Went there for a birthday breakfast it was 12 of us. They were unable to handle that number of people. We got there at 1 o'clock 3 o'clock. Some of us still didn't have our food and they closed at four. I was very very disappointed because it was my intention to eat at a black owned business. The ambience was good. I have tried to patronize the restaurant on three occasions and all of them have been bad. The first was the awful service. I asked for toast which came with the meal. I had to as three people for the toast ultimately asking the manager. Toast arrived at the end of the meal. Today I had a reservation which I made a month ago. I call to confirm February 13 for my February 14th reservation. The young lady stated that yes she saw my reservation. I later received an automated message to confirm my reservation which I did and received a confirmation number. When I arrived today to be told my reservation was canceled. While the manager was lovely and stated she would try to seat my party this did not happen. Why use a system that you do not use. Extremely disappointed again. read more

Visited Boutique River Falls for a Sunday breakfast/brunch with a few friends and our grad school admissions director before we headed back home. I was really excited about visiting this spot as it came highly recommended (via TikTok) however this visit left much to be desired. I'll start by saying the potential is definitely there. Black owned, soul food-esque with an "elevated" flair. Hopefully as time goes on, they will improve in some key areas. Ambiance: there are two entrances. One off their patio area and one off the street (where we entered). When you walk in there's an ice cream counter? Seemed kind of out of place. The kitchen is also at this entrance and is visible. There's a small waiting area at this entrance along with two single restrooms. The host stand is behind a glass door but there was no one stationed there. We waited a while before having our reservation addressed. Once in the dining room the decor at first glance is chic. Black and white drapings on the ceiling, checkered print coverings on the chairs. Upon a closer look many of the chair coverings were tattered. Instead of an elevated dining experience, it felt more like a step up from a diner. Service: our server was pleasant and welcoming, however she was not the most attentive. After our drink orders and food orders were placed we didn't see her really until we flagged her down to ask about the food wait times (more on this later). We spoke with the manager also who was very nice. Personality wise, the servers were great. Just a bit slow for my liking. Food: we waited almost an hour for our food to be served. In our order were two omelets, fish and grits, French toast and chicken, and a croissant sandwich. None of which had major customizations or substitutions so the wait time was a little confusing and irritating. The manager said it was due to them having a new automated system (which I would think would make things quicker), but we noticed that other tables who were seated after us received their food before us. Either way, everyone said their food was pretty good. No socks were knocked off but you could tell everything was made to order (probably another contributing factor to the time). The chicken with my French toast lacked seasoning and the menu said it would be made with brioche bread but it seemed more like a baguette. Still prepared nicely but seasoning would've taken it up a notch. My friend who ordered the fish and grits had three small pieces of fish and grits on the side. She expected the dish to be together and not deconstructed. The grits needed a bit more seasoning also but she still enjoyed it. The croissant sandwich was a very small portion and the chicken in the fajita omelet was gummy. The manager was kind enough to take a few dollars off the bill for our wait which we appreciated. Idk if we'll be back or maybe try another location, but hoping to see future reviews highlight improvements made. read more

The service was horrible, and food wasn't prepared correctly. We arrived around 11:30am and didn't even see a waiter until 12:00pm, then we ordered our juices/waters didn't receive those until 12:30. The steak was under cooked I ordered medium well. And the which wings weren't cooked thru all the way. We didn't receive our food until 1:30pm and all our food wasn't prepared right. After the complaint I only received a 5% discount (only for the steak) so I had to pay for a steak I didn't even eat, they over charge for the juices and don't have a menu to specify what drinks they have. read more

When me and my husband woke up we said we haven't been to river falls lately. We made the journey to get there around 10:50. We was quoted a 20 min wait. We didn't get seated until 11:52. That was a very long 20 mins. When we sat down we got menus and placed our orders. We waiting 10 min for our drinks and 40 mins for our food. Now i wouldn't be so mad if it was crowded, but it was at a capacity of about 50%. Once we recover our food the waitress never showed back up to see if we was ok if we needed a refill. We finished our food and still waited another 20 mins for her to show and check on us. After about another 5. My husband got up to go check and she was not looking like she was ready to check nor see if any assistance was required. I have been here a few times and this service was the worse. This was my first time eating here. It's a hidden Gem. The food was well seasoned and had vegan options if you care. The cornbread was sweet like cake ... Initially the service seemed a little questionable from my server but the manager made up for that. The atmosphere is kind of artsy and it's uniquely decorated... The food here is very tasty. The grounds of the restaurant including the tiny parking lot leave a lot to be desired. I can even handle that ... it's the service on the other hand that was AWFUL. Our waitress whose name begins with a "J" was awful. We were seated fairly quickly but it took a lifetime before we got our drinks (and the orange juice was nothing but Orange Hi C). The waitress finally takes our food order. We waited a really long time for our food while others of a much larger party was served much sooner and they all had big meals. We finally get served and two of us had to ask the waitress where the rest of our meal is and her response was: "you'll get it when I get it"... wow!! 1st time there today. My wife and I were at the East Falls Falls Farmers Market then wanted to get breakfast. Boutique is right across the street from the Market and what a great place. We waited about 10 minutes for a table which was fine. Once we got a table our server was attentive. We started with lattes with Oat Milk and split an omelette with grits. The omelette was delicious. Stuffed with the items we ordered. It took a little while. Not sure if they were short-handed or just a number of large parties. Loved the space - one entire wall is windows. It's tastefully decorated and the music is smooth jazz. Generally, a little louder than most breakfast places but it's an upbeat vibe. Highly recommended read more

OMG! The location is simply wonderful. After a nice meal you can walk along the Schuylkill River. For a morning breakfast with friends the service is wonderful and pleasant. I BYOB our mimosa's. There was a $7 fee for serving our brew. The food was freaking tasty. The grits and cheddar cheese was freakin amazing. I have been her twice and everything we have had is simply freakin Good.
