Definitely a nice open space to host a gathering and has a lot of potential and room for improvement. The fried items were very greasy and just heavy on the stomach for me personally, not the best quality food--Not sure I'd revisit. The bartender was stand-off ish and just seemed like she didn't want to be there, she had an attitude from the moment we walked in.. and we were the only people there at the time when we arrived around 12pm noon. read more

Late post - I absolutely loved this Seafood Omelette, it has all of my favorite stuff inside - salmon, shrimp and crab meat, red peppers, and even had broccoli We got there early on a Sunday so it was very quiet, which was not a problem for me because service was fast and l got to listen to the songs I wanted on the TouchTunes. Great food and extensive Brunch selection. This newly revamped space is well thought out it's a space for dining and events. During brunch it's something for everyone. The staff is friendly and accommodating the owners/ management are young POC. There were a few hiccups but once the got rollin' it was on. The DJ had the music flowing for a early day dance party. You can order mimosas tower's or visit the full bar, they got it all. If hookah is your thing they have that too., Did I mention the food was very good. Would I come back? The bar service was terrible. They didn't have no liquor to choose from. No ingredients to make lemon drops. No whiskey no bourbon no green tea. To top it off you had to wait 30 mins to order drinks just for them to tell you they don't have it. I ordered tequila and pineapple juice (simple) and trust me all I got was pineapple juice. Came here for brunch on Saturday after attending a college graduation. For brunch, it was $40 per person (drinks not included), all you can eat and tables are first come, first serve. When we walked in they told us cash only. For those of us who didn't have cash, they pointed us to their ATM. Every time someone tried to use the ATM, an error message would appear on screen. The ATM didn't work. So then they told us we could use a card. Maybe they should give both options from the start instead of saying cash only. The inside was a nice size. They have a live DJ. Music wasn't too loud. You're able to have a conversation without yelling over the music. The floors were very sticky throughout the whole place. The woman's bathroom has two stalls. 1 toilet didn't flush. The toilet paper was hanging from the hook on the door. They needed to refill the soap dispenser and paper towels. The sink needed cleaning as well. Now the food was delicious. The set up was very nice and organized. They had real plates. Not paper or plastic plates. They served grits, seafood gravy, Turkey bacon, Turkey sausage, waffles, French toast, fried chicken, bbq chicken, potatoes w/onions and peppers, yellow rice w/broccoli and baked macaroni and cheese. My favorites were the grits w/seafood gravy on top, potatoes and rice. The baked macaroni and cheese was my least favorite. I asked for a drink menu and they didn't have one. They do have mimosa and margarita towers. We got a margarita tower which was $70. They filled the tower with a whole bottle of Casimigos tequila. So the Margarita was strong, which is an A+ for me. When we went to the bar to get water or order another margarita tower, there was a bit of a wait. Not because it was busy. The bartender just took her time to acknowledge us. We ordered a hookah which was good. I believe it was $40. Brunch was over at 4pm. Around 3:30, we were asked to leave our table and go to the bar because another event was about to take place at 4pm. They had to clear the tables and reset them. We didn't stay too much longer once we got to the bar. Overall this is not a bad place. It wasn't crowded. There were still empty tables. I would suggest a friendlier staff, drink menus, mop the floors more often and keep the bathrooms clean. It was more laid back for brunch. May be it's more lit at night. The DJ did mention karaoke on Wednesdays. I won't be back but I think you should check this place out for yourself. read more

It was a terrible experience! The staff is more concerned with having a good time and partying so much that the customer service was nonexistent! They didn't have half of the items on the menu and the bar was not well stocked. They only offered one type of vodka and didn't have anything sugar free. If you are in your early twenties this would probably appeal to you but for me this was my first and last time at this establishment and I would not recommend this place to anyone over 25. read more

A King's Cafe... what a VIBE Soooo... my girlfriends and I came to this establishment to celebrate my friends 40th bday. We came on a Saturday for brunch and poetry show. The show was nice and everyone did an amazing job. A Kings Cafe was beautiful... from the color scheme of the walls to the detailed marbling of the floors. The food was simply amazing! Hats off to the chef. The margarita towers were reasonably priced but could have been a little stronger (less ice next time). The price of the hookah was great and the refills were even better. Lastly, the staff was SUPERB! From the security guards, to the hostess, to the hookah girl, to the bartender... SUPERB! The people who hosted the event had great customer services as well. We will be coming for a regular brunch with out the show so we can truly turn up and don't have to stop our party to hear spoken word/poetry. read more

Was here for a Birthday Brunch. When you first walk in they check your hand bag and frisk you. That was fine you have to be safe in places. The Buffet was set up real nice all the food was cooked to perfection and delicious. I don't eat fish and it was hot and good. They even had an Omelet station. The line of food that was prepared was very tasty and hot. tTheir was something for everyone and plenty to eat. And let me just tell you about the dessert and salad table. The pasta salad was the best to me I could've to the whole bowl home. And also had a caesar salad it was ok you know that the croutons and the romain lettuce get saggy when it sets for a long time. And if you are a sweet lover you would've been in seven heaven. From diffrent kinds of slice cake, cookies, and muffins. When all the stations was empty or a little in them the staff was filling them up utill the Buffet was over. They even left the food and dessert out until the food was almost gone. The staff was awesome and everyone was very helpful and pleasant. And we can't forget about the Dj Desiree she had you out of your seats none stop. I didn't go to the front to dance because it was a little to crowed for me so I stated at me table dancing in my seat and then when I heard my song I was up and shaking what my mother and father gave me.....lol. They even had a young lady walking around taking drinks orders. The drinks was very expensive. My friend told me that her drink was $25.00 and that's absolutely crazy and the tower was $65. I didn't buy a drink and the brunch was $30.00 that was to much to pay in that area. And I know you have to pay for the up keep and your worker but if the drinks prices was lower they would have a larger crowd every day. I even like this place and want to have a party but I have to think about the drinks for my guest I want them to come and enjoy their self and not worry about how high the drinks are. Oh and on Tuesday they have $5.00 shot night never went but I'll try that out to see how that is. But when I go for brunch I don't have to drink. I wonder how much is a soda. The drink prices are like we are at a high end Restaurant in Center City. And the drinks wasn't strong at all. You had to get it straight or on the rocks. Their was street parking but be careful parking on they like to give out tickets around their. Their was not a lot of seating areas but they did have high tops, vip station, and regular tables and a hookah area. I meet the Owner Chad he very nice and a laid back guy. I meet him a while ago and he invited me to his first location but I nerve made it their. I told him that I was a foodie and me and my Huband will come and check it out. So I was invited to his new location and I stated the food was really good Kudos to the Chef. And I almost forgot their was a very nice lady that was at the desert table she gave us a business card and telling us about the Restaurant her business.
