I absolutely love coming to Ciro's for their chicken parm! The chicken is always so tender and the sauce is fresh and flavorful. On this lunch trip, however, we sat at the bar and I opted to grab a burger on my friend's recommendation. Our bartender was quick to take our order and the food came out quickly too. I picked a Cajun burger cooked medium and the temp came out just right. The burger was flavorful, but not very spicy. I wish they would have kicked up the spice level a notch or two. My one friend had the same burger and said they are usually more spicy. The portion of fries was a bit small, but overall the meal was filling enough to leave me satisfied. The bar area has a nice backlit display and seats about 15. There are some high top tables in the bar area as well. The regular dining area is much larger and is more elevated, but semi-formal dress is plenty fine You won't be disappointed if you visit Ciro's. NOTE: They do NOT have pickles. We had a company lunch to celebrate a birthday. Selected this restaurant based on reviews alone since didn't know anyone who had been here. We were a party of 8. Initially we were a bit taken back because the waitress told us she couldn't take an order for appetizers first, that we had to order the entire order at once. She eventually did take our appetizers order separately. Things definitely went up from here, not only the service but the meal. Everything we ordered from appetizers to desserts were amazing. Not a single complaint from anyone. Their bruschetta appetizers, excellent. And their salmon entree was delicious. I came here with some co-worker's on the Friday before Christmas to celebrate the holidays together. This is a quaint little Italian restaurant that definitely gives family vibes. We got the calamari, mozzerella sticks, and I had the chicken pesto panini. Our waitress always checked in on us from time to time and food did not take long to come out. My food tasted good but immediately after the lunch my stomach started feeling weird. I ended up being sick for the rest of the afternoon/night. Our server Allison was simply the best , very patient and accommodating . She originally sat us at a table by the window but our chair were far from each other , once she saw we wanted to seat side by side she actually moved us to a table where we could actually sit together . She was very fast and efficient. I visited Ciro's for an association dinner. We were all seated upstairs. There was plenty of room. Great to be here again. Last time I was inside this building was too many years ago (I don't want to date myself). At the time it was known as the Ground Floor and was host to rock bands and lots of gangs and fights. A true biker bar in the past, but now is a more upscale Italian cuisine. The barmaid Eva and I hit it off immediately comparing notes from the past and reminiscing on how things have changed. She made an awesome gin martini. Since they didn't have a bar set up with credit cards upstairs, I had to use the downstairs main bar for my libations. The food for the group was excellent. Great appetizers and for my main course I had the eggplant parm. It was huge and perfectly prepared. I'm looking forward to coming back soon. read more

Italian restaurant at Jamesburg, NJ Had late lunch on Saturday. The restaurant had 3 tables with diners while we were there for 2 hour lunch. We were seated right away and basket of bread was served which was good. As an appetizer, we had dried calamari and Mediterranean salad. Calamari was crispy and seasoned to point. The salad was fresh served with roasted pepper, onion, griilled shrimp and crabmeat with balsamic dressing. We really enjoyed our appetizers. However, entrees were very salty. Linguine with white clam sauce was salty and clams were so small and sandy that not edible. Homemade gnocchi bolognese sauce was very salty that I couldn't finish. The seafood fra diavolo was also on salty side. We were very disappointed with their entrees. The home made tiramisu was quite good with our coffee. read more

First timer .: would have given 3.5 .. we went to Thomson park and we're looking for restaurants around and found this . Bartender was awesome and very courteous.. our food menu took 25-30 mins to be ready .. we had a couple of beers in the bar. There aren't much varieties of .. just few. Blue moon was good . We took back food to the park to eat .. there were no spoons/folks/towels/plates with the order . We had to literally mix the salad with our hands and eat it .. hope the next time , this is taken care of. Fried zucchini wasn't good. We couldn't eat it and had to throw it away :( pizza was good .. the best was Buffalo chicken wrap. Very spicy and awesomeeeee! Parking was good. Price was nominal. Went to dinner with a friend. First the staff were amazing, attentive and friendly. I had the rigatoni in vodka, which was ok. A little salty. My friend had the pasta carbonara, which she said was more like an Alfredo and not as much bacon/pancetta flavor. We had a pitcher of red sangria which was delicious. inordered Chicken Parm and while it was a good piece of chicken, it was fried and then completely dunked in sauce/. the sauce was not pooled on the late, but the chicken was mushy, not one piece of it was crispy.
