Nice little find. Went to an event down the road and wanted a sit down lunch. Tommy's was the closest. Let's go. Hit there at 12:30 and the place was empty. Immediately greeted and shown to our table and drink order taken. Neither of could decide on a whole meal so we both got different meals to split. Both cajun paninis (tuna on one chicken on the other). Food was quick and the fries were fresh out of the fryer HOT! Damn hot! Warning label hot! My fault for shoving a handful in my mouth before I realized it. Perfectly cooked. A+! On to the main course. Both paninis were delicious. Although the seasoning wasn't as pronounced across the entire chicken, kind of hit and miss on the spice. Tuna was perfect. Well cooked and spiced. Overall a great little place to grab a quick lunch. This was hands down by far the worst meal of my life. I'm 36 and travel to third World countries recreationally so I know shady food. My cheesesteak had zero seasoning and I'm convinced the meat was bad. I can't recommend enough to NEVER spend your money here. And what's worse is we were seriously over charged. Tommy, the owner was so friendly in a gruff way.. which is the best. The establishment is beautiful with different nooks at the bar and big private wood booths. Antler chandeliers adding to the beautiful interior. Good drink selection and the Reuben was incredible along with the flaming jack burger. Everything was cooked to perfection. USED TO BE great but now everything is just mediocre. Now they meet you at the door telling you that they ONLY ACCEPT CASH but THEIR ATM is right here, which charges like $6!!! Some of their dishes are around $25-$30 but they only accept cash??!!?? They used to have the best steaks and tuna bites now everything seems like it's frozen junk. So sad!!! read more

Tommy's has a location in the center of the state, and I had a business appointment. A business partner suggested that we meet there. So, it's a good place to meet if people are coming from different parts of NJ. It's also right near the Great Adventure entrance. The service was also very attentive. It seemed that one person was responsible for both the bar and serving all the tables, but she did a good job. The food could have been better. The dinner salads were wilted and didn't have many vegetables on them other than the wilted lettuce. The entrees lacked oomf. Something was missing. My friend said that the food used to be better there. When you look at the food items, it is a very tired menu. The atmosphere is very dated and 1990's. We saw taps for Spellbound beer, which is a local brewery, and I would have ordered that, but they were all out. Then I saw Goose Island IPA, which is now under a large corporate umbrella. That, too, was kicked. I ended up getting Killian's Irish Red because I didn't want to leave my friend as the only one with a beer. But it tasted stale. Something is wrong with the beer there. Normally when a bar does not have craft beer, I lower my rating by 1 star. Since they still have a good location, good service, and I had a fun time, I will give them a very generous 2 stars. First off they are cash only but they do have an ATM. We came in right at opening and there was nobody else there. We were greeted by the presumable owner who was very nice. We were sat and got our drinks right away. We got mozzarella sticks and wings for appetizer. It was obvious that the mozzarella sticks were frozen as they had no cheese pull but the wings were good and crispy as it was advertised. We got 4 burgers and we ordered them 3 medium and 1 well done. We got 3 well done and 1 medium. We did not complain though because there seemed to be a staffing shortage and the owners were cooking too. The burgers were okay okay but not much else. Some fries were cooked and others were not. It was mediocre. The atmosphere was clean but also slightly sad as it could have been much more. I hope this business can rebound but If it continues on this path, it will not. read more

Drove by this place and it seemed like a nice hideaway bar. Log cabin nestled back off the road. Went in and it was at least 80 degrees in there with the fans running. Sat down and waited a while. Finally someone comes out to inform me they didn't have anything on tap. So..? Any craft beers in bottles or cans? Nope. Only Sierra Nevada. That's it. Then was told that they are CASH ONLY. Yes a cash only restaurant. So I ordered the $6 beer and waited for someone to take my food order. And waited...It's Monday and hardly anyone was in there, but there's at least 3 people working. I left $6 and left. Tip on that? Why? I'm sweating and hungry and apparently it looks like they haven't had draft beers in some time. Such a shame it has nice decor. read more

This restaurant is one of the worst I have been to in a long time. I travel quite a bit and try to support local smaller businesses instead of cookie cutter chains. The menu and sign is quite decieving saying "Kids Eat Free" ha what a joke you get 1 kid's meal if you purchase 2 full overpiced adult entrees, so I had to pay an extra $8.00 for my second daughter to get 4 ravioli's. what a deal.... I ordered a porterhouse steak to the tune of $25 and requested rare. The steak arrived and was as thin as something I have seen at a Denny's and was grey which would indicate that it may have been frozen this is the reason why other chain's wont server steak rare as they cant get the correct pink color inside from it being frozen. The service was terriable and there were about 20 minute intervals between visits. I was extermely thirsty and had only 2 glasses of water over the entire meal. I showed the watiress the steak that was supposed to be rare and sat waiting for her to check on us for an additional 20 minutes so i could raise my concern about the food. She took it back and offered to have the owner cook it for me.... by that time my family finished eating and i was so turned off my so many things at this place i didnt want another overcooked paper thin steak for $25 The owner / manager didnt even come out to ask about my concerns. Bad quality food, over priced confusing complicated menu with several hidden extra charges. I made a request of pasta instead of a baked potatoe with my $25 sub Denny's steak and it was an issue...To top it off only seeing our watiress maybe every 20 or so minutes was the icing on the cake. Very lousy service, customer service. I visit this area several times a year and I will never ever go back to this place ever again.... Heres the total 1 Chicken Parm 1 soda 1 milk 4 waters 2 salads 1 baked potato 2 kids ravioi 1 side angel hair $48.... plus tip...which i gave only a little over 10% my base tip is usually 20% to start i felt very uncomfortable leaving that little but i was really pissed and hungary for a decent meal. they didnt charge me for that poor excuse for a steak I was charged for a potatoe and salad only thank god... What a friendly bar! While waiting to go into Six Flags great adventure on the oh so long line we decided to get a beer (because who wants to spend $12 at Six Flags When you can get a beer for $3.50 at Tommy's) we were able to find a seat right away at the bar and we were greeted by the bartender Tracy who is social and polite. Stopped today with my husband and cranky one year old on the way home to Pa from the Popcorn Zoo and we are all happy that we did. We were greeted by Tommy when we came in and throughout our meal all of the staff and everyone was super nice and inviting. We ordered: mozzarella sticks and chicken tenders for appetizers. Both were very good but we loved the chicken tenders and the blush sauce. The tenders were self breaded and delicious and the sauce is a toned down buffalo blue cheese sauce. My husband had a burger and fries and loved the patty for the burger. I had the chicken parm which was also great. My baby got the children's grilled chicken with steamed broccoli. She ate it all! This is a local neighborhood bar (with restaurant) that gets a lot of passer-by-traffic due to Six Flags Great Adventure being .5 miles down the road. Sometimes folks expect 5-star service everywhere they go. Well... Tommy's is in Clarksburg, basically "in the country" a bit. Things are different out here. That said, don't come here expecting a 5 course meal with all the fixings. Come here to expect easy meals that simply taste good. Want a steak and seafood with all add-ons and such? Go somewhere else. Want a burger, with some good wings and a couple drinks with some great staff and friendly folks to chat with? Go here. Plain and simple. Some nights it was just meant for you to end up alone. So last night I went to my local hangout, Tommy's. I had a few Corona Lights, (gorgeous Tracy bought me a round) and got a peperoni bar pie for dinner. The pizza is like half Mexican and half Italian, I forget what Tracy called it, something like Fajita Pizza. It was delicious but nearly impossible to eat without a knife and fork. Extremely thin crust, maybe the thinnest I've ever had. The weight of the ample cheese and peperoni were too much for it to bear, so I used my utensils instead, probably a first for me with pizza. I had a shot of Patron Silver and a shot of 1800 Tequila, and presto, my blues are gone! The new Juke Box is really cool, I put in my usual $5 and instead of getting to play 6 songs, like on the old one, I got like 12! I was the DJ for most of my time there. Played a bunch of Chili Peppers, Bruce, Roger Clyne, Foo Fighters, Marley, and Bob Seger too. Of course the highlight of any visit to Tommy's is my favorite barkeep in this world or any, the Fabulous (with a capitol F) Tracy! I wholeheartedly agree that this place is WAY overpriced. My guess is they feel they can get away with it due to the tourism they get from Six Flags. Regardless, $5.60 for a crock of French Onion? $15.95 for chicken & shrimp Caesar salad? Mind you, the portions are huge-I think they gave me an entire head of romaine, but only 5-6 shrimp? Why so much money? I've been coming here on occasion since 1995, when it was the Millstone Pub. The decor is not much updated, not is the furniture. The menu pages I had were stuck together by...something? And the tables are so old and dirty you can see it from across the room. All that being said, the food was "good". Nothing was bad or didn't taste fresh. Our service was pretty good as well. All I will end with is know what you're walking into....I think next time I'll just come for karaoke and a beer. read more

I was here over Easter weekend. Dad and I took the bike out for a cruise down the parkway. He comes here for lunch during the week and suggested we hit the place up for some bloody marys,calamari and hot wings. Great log cabin detailing throughout the bar and restaurant.
