The best thing about them is the personalized service they provide. its like a family atmosphere. this is so important because when we travel several times a year, we feel very safe and comfortable with their taking care of our cats, which is soooo important. We can actually enjoy our vacations knowing our cats are well taken care of.. When one of our cats passed away 2 years ago, Nicole sent a beautiful card and a picture that i didnt even know she had of our Chance. It brought tears to our eyes and i still have that Polaroid on the front of our refrigerator .. Just a great group of people from Nicole to top down to the managemnt and sitters. Our 4 pets (2 senior cats & 2 senior dogs) have been loyal clients of Dr.Granson/Urban Animal Vet Hospital since we moved to Houston in 2019. We had never found a vet as thorough and attentive as Dr. Granson and have had no complaints in the care we received. Fast forward to today. I reached out to the vet to update Dr. Granson with an ongoing issue with my senior pet. I was then informed by the receptionist that Dr. Granson is no longer at this practice since the beginning of this month and they currently do not have a permanent veterinarian on staff. It was suggested to me that if I have concerns regarding my pet that I establish care with a new vet. I'm not sure what this issue is about but I am thoroughly disappointed with how this is being handled. I feel like at the very least we should have been notified of this change asap so we can ensure there isn't a lapse in our pet's care. Now I have to scramble to find care elsewhere for my 4 senior pets who have a myriad of health issues. It seems like whoever is in charge of decisions in the interim does not care about the health and wellbeing of our pets.

They never rushed us and answered all my (many) questions with patience and compassion. What stood out to me was how gentle they were with Mellow. He's usually anxious at the vet, but they handled him with such care that he seemed calmer than usual. They even followed up after our visit to check on how he was responding to the medication. However, when I reviewed the evidence they provided, the email shown was addressed internally between their own staff rather than to my email address. Based on the documentation they submitted, I never actually received the USDA health certificate they claimed had been sent to me. Because of that evidence, my bank initially denied my dispute. I had to call my bank and explain that the email they submitted was not sent to me at all. It appears to show an internal email between employees, not an email delivered to the customer. In addition to that, communication throughout the process was poor, fees were not clearly explained upfront, and I did not receive the documents I needed before my travel date. The entire experience caused unnecessary stress and forced me to make last-minute arrangements for my service dog. I expected transparency, timely communication, and accurate documentation. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.
