The place has coffees and lattes, as well as a variety of desserts. The main draw, as you might imagine, is the Chai. They have several types, and the cool thing is they let you sample before you buy. My wife and I ended up splitting the BonBon Chai (caramel flavored), though the tiramisu and amore were a close 2nd and third. They also have flat breads and wraps, though we didn't try any as we had just finished dinner. The staff was super friendly, and there was ample seating. It looks like they also had outdoor seating, though not something we were going to do in January. OVERALL - if you're looking for a coffee shop alternative, or want to try some amazing Chai, check this place out! Celebrity Rating - Ron Holland

I met my friend and his wife at this Middle Eastern eatery for lunch while I was in town. The…read moreSheikh Restaurant is located in a middle suite of a narrow Canton Township strip mall. Parking spaces were ample as the neighboring businesses weren't busy at all during this holiday week. The inside was not ornately decorated as some of the fancier places in the area that serve this type of cuisine. Between the booths and tables, my estimate was that the seating capacity was around 50 customers. The menu booklet contained several pages of offerings across the categories of appetizers, soups, salads, sides, wraps/subs, traditional dishes, and seafood/chops. For beverages, there were juices, smoothies, coffee, tea, and soft drinks. My friends each chose a different type of wrap for their meal. I picked one of the entrees from the traditional dishes which was the Gallaba over Hummus. In my hometown, I don't see gallaba as often as items like shish kabobs and shawarma. My order consisted of a choice of meat (lamb was my pick) sauteed with green peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, and carrots with special spices added. The mixture was served on a bed of hummus with my choice of rice on the side. A cup of chicken rice soup (instead of lentil) also came with this traditional dish. While we were waiting for our food, a basket of warm pita bread and a cup of garlic spread were provided. The spread was very pungent so I used it sparingly. An extra dinner salad was mistakenly added which I saved for leftovers. The gallaba was essentially a Middle Eastern version of a meat stir fry. The pieces of lamb were tender and not gamey. The spices added flavor but not saltiness. Between the bread, soup, rice, and gallaba, it was a generous portion size that also became leftovers for later. For the quality and price of my meal, I gave a four star rating for our visit to The Sheikh Restaurant.

The ambience is absolutely lovely--spacious, clean, and very pleasant to sit in. The upstairs seating area is especially nice, with comfortable tables and chairs that make it a great spot to relax. They also offer a good selection of packed bakery items on display that look fresh and tempting, making it ideal for a quick grab-and-go visit. That said, the dine-in experience was let down by long wait times. I ordered a croissant and a falafel sandwich and ended up waiting significantly longer than expected, with little to no updates on my order. The ordering system--placing the order in one area and then waiting with a buzzer to collect before paying--felt somewhat inefficient, especially during off-peak hours on a weekday when the café wasn't particularly busy. In terms of food, the falafel sandwich was decent, while the croissant was just okay. Overall, the service felt slow and somewhat disorganized during this visit. I later stopped by just for grab-and-go items, and that experience was much smoother and quicker. Overall, the café has a beautiful ambience and fresh offerings, but there is definitely room for improvement in service speed and order management for dine-in items.

Pakwaan Fine Indian Cuisine - My friend enjoyed her Tikka Masala with white meat chicken. She was glad she got it at mild spice level.

I got there around 1:20 and they closed the buffet right at 2 - clearly eager to get out of there. The selection was good: I liked the fact that they had a standard green salad. I had some tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala, butter paneer, and naan. I also tried bites of the aloo gobi and some vegan dish that I can't remember the name of but it was basically cauliflower and potatoes. I was a little disappointed in the dessert selection; I love gulab jamun and was hoping they would have it but all they had was a mango custard (it was good but I wanted something sweeter). All of the food was good bordering on great; my standards for Indian food are pretty high and this place met them. I thought the spice level was good - not horribly spicy but definitely had a kick to some dishes. Would have been nice to have a lamb dish but understand they have to cater to vegetarians too. The place itself is nice although the lighting was a little dark in my opinion. They were great about refilling water, clearing plates, and checking in. Bathrooms were clean and nice. Would return!
