I love a hearty grain bowl or salad when I'm in a mood for something healthy yet filling. I'm happy they opened a Sweetgreen in Ann Arbor. I went for my lunch break to pick up some bowls for my coworkers and I. I only wish it wasn't downtown because parking is terrible. It's located in a busy part of State St. where tons of cars and pedestrian traffic (especially college kids) are. I got the shroomami bowl and it was really good. The tofu was cooked perfectly, but the mushrooms were a little on the salty side. It paired well with the kale. I substituted the raw beets for roasted sweet potatoes. I'm so glad I did because it was really good. The portions are bigger than I imagined. I had some leftover for later. read more

The automated phone call has no way to connect you with an employee in the store to speak with someone who may help fix your issue. When I heard that a Sweetgreen was coming to Ann Arbor, I was so excited. SG is one of the things I missed most about living in DC (SG is based in DC and they are everywhere there). However, I was disappointed in this location. While the salad was good, it was not of the quality I had come to expect of Sweetgreen. Furthermore, they really skimped on the serving size at this location. Usually the salad is filled to the brim, but at the Ann Arbor location my salad was only half full. Quite sad to have my enthusiasm be stifled by this. However, this may be due to the location being so new. I plan to come again later and try again once the dust of the grand opening settles. I was really excited to try this place but unfortunately was not very good. We got the Kale Caesar Salad and the Chicken Avocado Ranch plate. The chicken avocado plate was an extremely small portion, the salad portion was fine. Both were pretty bland and just not really worth it. Super healthy options that even the pickiest eater will love. All of the food containers, eating utensils, menus etc are compostable which is awesome. The servers making the bowls are friendly and can accommodate reasonable requests for substitutions. Highly recommend the Crispy Rice bowl. We also had the Harvest Bowl and that was very good too. Ordered food today from Sweetgreen through their own app. When it arrived from a door dash driver only 4/7 of the items arrived. I attempted to call the store to rectify the situation, but they had an automated response saying they weren't open, which is incorrect since the website says they are open and are clearly taking orders on the app. There was no way to speak to a person and the automated customer service AI in the app tried to just give me a $12 store credit for 3 missing bowls despite paying for those 3 bowls as well as tip, tax, service fee, and delivery fee. There could have been an easy solution for the home store to rectify the situation and send the three bowls they forgot to include when to door dasher came, except the organization and the local store both had systems in place to prevent customers from speaking to a person and getting the help they need. I had ordered sweet green fairly regularly prior to this but am terribly disappointed by a horrible customer service experience and I'm also hungry since my food never arrived. read more
