    Smash burger with fries

So it's my second time eating here and I initially came here for the solid lunch special. I got the burger again with fries. Burger solid. Fries, half hot and half cold. Don't know how I feel because it was weirdly crispy still so maybe it was sooo cold outside they froze half my already cooked fries. Now I also ordered the Korean Fried chicken bowl. That was sad. It was drowning in sauce that was really watery so it got all over the rice. And it was just there. Didn't really elevate the fried chicken (which was kinda like a katsu). Chicken was good. Juicy. Crispy. But the rice, sauce, and slaw was sad. It kinda makes me think only getting the burgers and sandwiches here are the only thing that's worth it imo.

I decided to come for Sunday brunch. Had the Garden fresh omelette with home fries. The omelette was delicious, well cooked cheesy. And the home fries were crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. Huge portion. Simply delicious. Great place and awesome food.

Stopped by for a quick lunch and it did not disappoint. First impression means a lot when walking into a restaurant. The ambience was great. Service was quick, which I loved because usually the waiter takes forever to get to you. We started off with their cucumber mint mocktail. Super refreshing and light then I ordered their chicken street tacos topped with corn. Highly, highly, highly recommend. For main entrées, I got the Dhaka crunch burger (vegetarian). As well as Korean chicken bowl and masala bowl. Food was very flavorful and refreshing to eat. I love the fact that you don't feel bloated after eating here, considering we ate a lot. Will definitely be going back because they had a lot more on the menu that I want to try! Highly recommend this place give it a try if you want to make your taste buds dance!

The creamy Calabrian pepper tomato sauce delivers a legitimate, vibrant heat that doesn't hold back. Breaking into the Italian burrata is essential; the creamy center beautifully tempers the spice, while the micro basil adds a nice hit of freshness. We also started with the truffle fries, which were executed perfectly--crispy, aromatic, and a total highlight. The Service: While the food was top-tier, the service wasn't great which is why I deducted 2 whole stars. I ordered a ginger ale that never made it to the table, yet it still appeared on our final bill - not cool. It's a small detail, but at this level of dining and price point, you expect those things to be caught. Also, the service overall was pretty slow which was disappointing. Verdict: Even with the minor billing oversight, the culinary execution is elite. If you're a fan of bold, spicy pasta and a great atmosphere, this is still a JC must-visit. Just double-check your tab!

Came here for the first time in the early weeks after it opened in Summer 2025. Pretty much half the menu, through the appetizers, small bites, entrees, and dessert, was unavailable/out of stock. This was during a prime seating slot, around 8pm (was on a date) on a Saturday evening. Okay, opening kinks, fair enough. But still---a restaurant opening to much fanfare, and dining during a prime slot, 40-50%-ish of what is already a somewhat limited menu should not be unavailable. This was gravely disappointing. Nevertheless, what limited items we were able to order were, again, REALLY good. So I made a note to return. Fast forward about 8 months: got seated at the bar, as a walk-in, just before 8pm on a Saturday. Once seated, took a rude amount of time to even be acknowledged. Was close to putting on a face of noticeable frustration and impatience, of which, I guess, the bartender must've noticed the emerging cracks and took my order. Recognizing this was the same bar tender from my first visit, and seeing that one of the extraordinary specialty cocktails that I enjoyed during that visit was no longer listed on the menu, I asked if it would be possible to order it. No; it's "no longer on the menu." Turning on my "benefit of the doubt" hat, perhaps it required specific ingredients that are not kept on hand; fair enough, and, if true, understandable (I do hope this was the case so that there is a sensible explanation). But when I replied something like "aw, you can't just make one anyway?" e.g. as one might prepare any other known cocktail that exists but does not appear on a specialty menu (asked in a way, to be clear, meant to seem friendly/fun, not at all pushy/demanding) bartender replied with a simple "No" (or maybe, to their credit, "no, sorry.") Next, out of only three entrees on the menu, the one I ordered was, you guessed it, out of stock--at 8pm on a Saturday. I had gone to Maxwell Alley to try that specific entree of the three, and had no interest in the other two. If a menu contains only three entrees, they really ought to be in stock at 8pm on a Saturday. I declined the server's invitation to order one of the remaining two, got up and left. As I departed 15 minutes after being seated, no staff--hostess, maitre D etc--said a word. I've worked at upscale places and was always trained never to allow a single guest--even the very content ones--to leave without being acknowledged, told thank you/goodnight etc. A guest departing within 15 minutes of being seated might, one would think, have caught someone's attention and asked whether there was a problem, etc., but I guess not. Still--believe it or not--despite the limited menu, and this place striking out twice, the food during my first time was, in fact, so good that I do intend to return yet again--third time's the charm??? I'll try for 5pm on a Thursday or something, in hopes of ordering from the full menu.

The Ricotta Gnocchi came after about 15 minutes and was deliciously creamy, and cooked perfectly where it was both tender and provided a chewy texture which we found enjoyable. The portion was on the smaller side which we were informed by our server. It also looked very pretty as well! The duck breast and the faroe island salmon both came after another 20 minutes, which took quite a while since they weren't really that busy at the time. The duck breast was tender with a crispy skin that was paired deliciously with its cherry jus, so I highly recommend getting that! However, the salmon was overcooked and quite bland compared to the other two, which was quite disappointing and left us feeling hungry despite spending over 100 for 3 dishes. Although we enjoyed some of their selections, the high price tag did not really justify both the ricotta gnocchi appetizer-like portion, and the underwhelming and bland faroe island salmon. The Roxy has potential of being amazing, so I hope they take into consideration this review to continue to improve and change up their menu. The weather was absolutely ideal -- warm enough to enjoy being outside but still crisp, with very little humidity. Basically, rooftop weather perfection. The biggest draw here is, without question, the view. The space itself is beautiful, with a nice mix of indoor and outdoor seating, but seeing the Manhattan skyline illuminated at night is what makes this place special. It's one of those views that reminds you why people romanticize New York and the surrounding area so much. They offer a full food menu, although it appeared to be available primarily for guests seated indoors. The outdoor area seemed to focus more on drinks and lighter bites. Just know before you go: this is definitely a splurge spot. Everything is priced at a premium, so prepare yourself accordingly. Unfortunately, the service experience got off to a rough start. Both the security staff and hostess came across as unwelcoming and not particularly friendly. Whether they were overwhelmed or simply having an off night, it didn't create the best first impression. My biggest disappointment, however, was the restroom situation. By around 9:30 p.m., the bathroom was already in pretty terrible condition. Honestly, it was hard to believe it had deteriorated that much in just a few hours, and it gave the impression that it may not have been properly cleaned earlier in the day. Overall, Rooftop at Exchange Place delivers exactly what most people come for: spectacular views, a beautiful atmosphere, and an unforgettable skyline backdrop. Just be prepared for premium prices, a potentially lukewarm welcome, and hope that someone has checked on the bathrooms before you arrive.

I had an 8:30 reservation and arrived 30 minutes prior (according to their strict directions via text). I waited in line for an hour and 15 minutes and only received a wristband as the fireworks were going off and after arguing with the manager Jude. He consistently let walk ins in before dealing with any reservations. We also paid 35 dollars in advance. Once I got up to the rooftop, I was informed I would have to wait longer as they were kicking people out of our table. I asked to speak with a manager and again was forced to wait 35 minutes and witnessed a hostess quit mid shift. I do want to note, while waiting in line, a kind security guard informed me that the manager was letting people in who were late to their reservation. For example, a couple came at 8:00 for their 7:15 reservation and were let in. This was a horrible experience and will never be back. I understand the craziness of the 4th of July but this could have been avoided. Do not spend your money here, there are plenty of amazing places in Jersey City. Check out District! We went there instead and it was 10/10.

Great views of NYC, especially from the outdoor seats. While the service was less than 100%, the breezed short ribs were amazing! If I lived in the area, I think I could order those short ribs everyday. Pricing is very reasonable for the area, even with the "included gratuity" of 18% that they threw on the bill, probably because of all the international travelers coming into watch soccer. I understood this was something they probably had to do specifically during the world cup. We paid about $70 per person all in, we were drinking soft drinks, so the bar can push the total bill much higher very quickly. Overall, I would certainly return to this restaurant for great views, amazing food, and a reasonable value.
