Had a company event here and the food was delicious! The staff was also very attentive and quick to cleanup any used plates that were empty. The mozzarella balls were also the perfect size! I had the pep pizza and I liked that the crust was crunchy. The pasta was also cooked well, it wasn't soggy and the sauce was tasty We all had a great time and I would highly recommend if you are looking for a place to host a party. Parking was easy as it has a parking lot. Only thing that I didn't love was how oily? Some of the bowling balls were.

I came into Lucky strike on a date and they were so accommodating with their services. They provided the best services. I had an amazing time and I'm so excited to come back.

This used to be Bowlero...upon walking in you are hit with the loud sounds! Bowling check-in on your left, arcade games to your right. There's a bar and he was busy by himself during the weekend afternoon so of course there was a wait. Bowling lanes are ok but i didn't actually bowl. If i were to go again it would need to be in the private room at the southern part of the building. It want as loud and had brighter lights and its own bartender. Pepperoni pizza 12" was decent good.

Mark the manager and Maya behind the front desk were amazing! They made our friend's birthday party so special and were beyond accommodating. The facility is clean, fun and extremely family friendly. The food was great and all the kids left happy. Thank you again Mark and Maya for making the day so memorable! We will be back again soon!

Thanks for the greatest customer service ever!!!!! God bless you all!!!

Lucky Strike has string pins, a big arcade, and a full service bar at their new bowling alley location in Pasadena. The alley is 32 lanes wide, and already has many leagues going on!! Today we made it in time for their Happy Hour and got the $5 Chicken Strips. They tasted great, and were fresh and hot! The bartender is awesome, and went above and beyond for our group!! There are tables and booths at each of the lanes. There are plenty of seats behind each lane, and also other tables nearby. The ambiance is cozy meets VIP!

The food was better then I expected. The pizzas were a thumbs down but the wings, salad and mozerella sticks were all quite good. The server who was our main contact was good. The manager on duty was very nice and helped me get a heavier ball from the back for my other half. My one complaint would be the gal behind the bar could have been friendlier. There was plenty of parking in their lot. They are located behind Islands and across the street from Panda Inn.

It was a busy night apparently, but the lane next to us was empty for the duration of the time we were there. Interesting, but whatever. My cousin, who competes in local competitions, said the lanes are kind of whack as the pins go down a bit too easily and reward the crappier players. Not sure what he meant by that, but I did bowl better than my usual average of 65. Prices are decent and we took advantage of the 3-game special where the third game is half-off. Balls are in pretty decent shape and they have small to X large for everyone. Pro tip: there's a pretty good bar in here, sort of a hidden spot for locals here. If the usual popular sports bars are too crowded when a big game is on, I usually just come here. Lots of beer on tap, the screens are pretty large, and their burgers and fries are pretty good. Their cocktails are pretty solid as well. Happy rolling!

Everything is set to free play with a paid admission fee. You can do hourly pay or a set price for all day play. There's probably about 60 different arcade style games ranging in many decades including 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s favorites. Pinball, Mario Kart, Mortal Kombat, Marvel Vs Capcom (my jam), Super Smash Bros, Basketball Pro, Pac Man, NFL Blitz, Rampage (arcade game of my youth), Donkey Kong, Tron, The Simpsons and so many others. Soft drinks, great lighting, a spacious layout. Neon Retro offers cool holiday deals and specials, hosts fun events, IG giveaways and keeps the fun going all year long. It's still only $15 for unlimited hourly play or $25 for a day pass. No food is served here other than snacks (think chips and candy), but so many places closeby to eat before or after your Neon Retro Arcade fun!! It's not a barcade like EightyTwo or Player One so it's alcohol free. They're all welcoming and very personable. I do know they have a capacity limit and weekend tend to be the busiest until around 4 or 5 pm. Nights and weekends are definitely lower in foot traffic, but still great energy. I don't make it over too often, but highly recommend experiencing once or thrice. They just had a cool 50% off hourly prices for Bonus Level Loyalty Club members, and yes it's free to be a member :) Local street (meter), paid lot and garage parking available. Gender-neutral restrooms. Great for groups or just you.

I came back on a separate day to offer my patronage and support. Parking is plentiful. Interior has an old school look and feel to it. Quite nostalgic! Very clean and organized, but not super bright. Most house bowling balls were old, dirty, and chipped. I don't use a house ball since I have my own personal bowling ball. They may want to invest in some new balls... just saying. Their bowling games were $9.50 per game that Saturday night. I ended up not bowling. I would love to return to take advantage of their Early Bird Special at $4.75 per game which is a great deal from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM on the weekend. League rate is $5.00 per game which is a steal, too (please note league must be hosted by Action Lanes to qualify). Bowling shoes are $5.00 per pair which isn't bad, but I have my own shoes so I don't need them. Please check out their other rates and promos online. When I was here, I had a wonderful conversation with Caleb. He was working behind the counter. Super friendly and nice young man. He gave me the scoop on which nights have leagues and when it was best to come here for best deals. Thanks Caleb! I didn't want to leave without supporting them. There's a boba shop inside the bowling alley, but they were closed at the time. I ended up buying one A&W Rootbeer from the vending machine. It wasn't a lot, but it was something. Quite a refreshing drink! I love bowling so I'll definitely be back to bowl. Thanks Action Lanes!

This was a perfect snack after an hour of bowling. I would order this again! Parking is shared with the other businesses in the plaza. It is large so you won't have to worry about not finding a spot. The business wasn't as busy when we came here during the week. There were a few lanes still open when we arrived. Overall, I recommend this spot. Upon arrival, the bathrooms were filthy, with overflowing trash cans, paper towels scattered across the floor, and stalls that were clearly not being maintained. There was also feces left on one of the toilets, making the conditions especially unsanitary. From the photos I posted, it is evident that this restroom has been severely neglected and likely has not been properly cleaned in quite some time. This was incredibly embarrassing as a host. For a venue that accommodates private parties and large groups, I expected the restrooms to be regularly checked and properly maintained. I brought these concerns to management and followed up with two emails in hopes that the issue would be addressed. Unfortunately, I never received any response. The lack of communication was just as disappointing as the condition of the facilities. A clean restroom is a basic requirement during any events. When you're paying a lot of money to host an important celebration, cleanliness and customer service is important!!!

Hands down, without a doubt, best bowling alley food I've ever had in my existence. I'll start with the pizza because pizza is my favorite food. I was hesitant because I was at a bowling alley and I guess I've never had good food at a bowling alley until now. But when I looked around at all the pizza being served to different tables I just had to try it. I ordered the pepperoni pizza, and honestly it was sublime. I loved it. It was thin, crispy crust, good sauce, good cheese, good pepperoni. I devoured it. This pizza is better than most pizzas. I enjoyed it just as much as I have enjoyed Wildcrust, possibly enjoyed it more. Simply put, Highland Park Bowl makes a great pizza. Also got the calamari. Truly didn't have high expectations, maybe because I was at a bowling alley, but this calamari was shockingly good to me. Way better than expected, and would 100% order it again the next time I'm here. Additionally it was a pretty good sized portion. My wife ordered the burger and fries. She loved it. I tried it. I loved it. Fries were amazing. Would order it again for sure. The ambience is very cool. Had no idea this place has been around for like a century. Loved the vintage feel. So much character. Staff were super friendly. Although I think they may have been short staffed when we went. It seemed like there was only one server taking care of the whole place. She was really nice though and our food came out surprisingly quick. Came at 5:30pm on a Thursday and parked on the street right out front. Street parking is 1hr up until 8pm I believe. We were in and out of there in less than an hour. I timed it haha. Loved coming here and will be back sometime!

It seems like the complaints and positives are pretty consistent and accurate. The bad: The woman working the front reservations desk was notably unfriendly and unwelcoming, with a negative energy right off the bat. She seemed weirdly annoyed at the presence of customers. And this was at the beginning of the day. I can only imagine what it's like at peak evening hours. There's a total of 8 lanes. We were surprised to find there's a strict one hour limit for lanes unless there's no one else waiting. It would have been helpful if they posted this on their website. A countdown started at 30 minutes left and was displayed on the score screen. The really weird part was at about 10 minutes left, our scores disappeared and never came back. We were still able to play but it was not cool that our whole game's scores were just gone. The time limit made us feel very rushed, which was especially awkward because we ordered food and drinks. The good: As many have said, the best thing about Highland Park Bowl is the beautiful vintage interior design and cool history. There's a lot of impressive detailing and it's fun just walking into the space. We thought the food and drinks were pretty good. We got Pesto Genovese and Contadina pizzas, Calamari, and some cocktails. Though I'm glad to have checked it out, unfortunately with the customer service issues, I was left with a negative feeling and would hesitate to come back.
