Medium Poke Bowl
Queenie M.

I have only tried the poke bowls here, not the ramen - but I came here a couple of times this past year and each time the food, service, and experience was great! The poke bowl was generous and is a lot bigger than what other poke places offer for similar pricing! They give you a decent amount of proteins/toppings and don't skim on anything! Considering this location as my top 3 favorite poke places in LA to go to whenever I am craving a bowl!

I ordered Unagi Bowl and beef udon noodle soup here, and they were incredibly delicious! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is really clean,[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the service attitude is also very nice. I'll definitely come back next time!

Not an area I find myself in often but I'd come over this way for ramen and gyoza again. Everyone there working was chill even though I walked in like 15min before close. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Black Garlic Ramen. Delicious!

I have been to this place many times for Poke bowls. Everything is always fresh and delicious. I recently decided to try the black garlic ramen and it was phenomenal! I don't know what they did to the pork belly but it is melt in your mouth tender with a sweet gelatinous finish. Also, kudos for having a takeout container with built in separation for the wet and dry ingredients. Definitely will try more items off the menu.

Small Poke Bowl

Not as authentic as other poke spots in the South Bay, but you know what? Still tasty! You make your own bowls so if it sucks, that's on you lol The portions are huge by the way. I got the smallest bowl and was surprised at how much food I got. I love the protein options they had here. I live down the street now and will be coming here after work for a quick poke meal.

Tuna, spicy tuna, salmon, and squid salad poke bowl.

The poké is extremely fresh! I've come here a few years now but have always had the food to go. This time, I dined in. Customer service was great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is clean, fast service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Nice portions. I spent about $25 on my large bowl and it was definitely worth it.

Amazing the meat melts in your mouth the flavors definitely will come back again when I'm out visiting!

Amazing from the employees to the food the meat melts in your mouth and very flavorful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Don't judge a book by its cover, this place hit the spot and then some. I was very pleased with the flavors in the Tonkotsu Ramen. I must admit we were actually supposed to go to Shin-Sen-Gumi Hakata Ramen, but the wait was too long. So, I did not have high hopes walking into this place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's not very big. They have indoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can order to go at the counter or seat yourself and someone will come to your table to place your order. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was clean and quiet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff was friendly. Service was good. We cracked a couple of jokes with our server about how spicy the edamame was and how spicy was each level with the Ramen. She stated she always went with a level 4 because the ramen was still enjoyable. Both my friend and I went with the Tonkotsu Ramen. I went with a level 4 she went with a level 1. We also ordered the spicy edamame, which technically was not spicy it was just garlicy. Both ramen and edamame were a 10/10. Their Tonkotsu Ramen is traditional. Pork broth, creamy and very flavorful. They put chashu (great tasting), soft boiled egg (made perfectly), pickled ginger (could have gone without. Not my jam.), green onion, fish cake, bamboo, dry seaweed, and friend onions (yum). My only complaint would be we do not think my friend got a level 1 spicy with her ramen. Her ramen looked like mine, and she stated it was too spicy for her. She still ate it. I think it was halfway through she realized this and why we did not bring it up to their attention.

I ordered a large-sized poke and shared it with one other person. We got really full. What sets this place apart from other poke shops is the wide variety of toppings, so I could enjoy all sorts of flavors. I often eat poke at various places. I end up with an upset stomach at about half of them, but this shop was fine. I learned for the first time that it's delicious when eaten with takuan (pickled daikon) or coriander. I recommend trying it with some crunch added--it's really tasty. At checkout, they don't charge for tips, so please put a little cash in the tip box.

The dragon roll sushi was good. It's deep-fried, spicy, and with cream cheese. I also got the spicy ramen level 4 and it's not too spicy. It had good flavor. Service was okay. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's background chill music playing as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean spot for a good bite.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'll be back to check out the poke.

My friends and I just finished a long day and wanted to relax and enjoy some ramen before my friend flew back to Texas. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is average and there's some music that the play in the background for ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is a bit lacking just due to the fact that the service is more like one and done. They have both ramen and poke here! The food was good and I'm glad that they have cooked and raw garlic in the ramen and it was delicious! The broth was really umami and flavorful! I got the spice level 2 and it goes all the way up to 5 on spice ‍ Tip: Parking is super ample and in a plaza! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The A/C is nice in here and there is a restroom here for CUSTOMERS only[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] ‍

2 Medium Poke Bowls- 1 with 2 spicy tuna and regular tuna other with 1 salmon and two spicy tuna

This place is the best hidden gem! It's in the shopping center right next to Vons. They have the most kind staff that works there and their food is incredibly fresh and delicious! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is very clean and has a nice cozy feel to it![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is a must to check out!

I used to frequent shin sen gumi regularly but the lines are always outrageous there. Hakata Ikkousha doesn't have lines, at least the times I've been and the ramen is just as good as sin sen gumi. My family and I love to frequent here because we know what to expect. I will say on my latest visit, the ambiance was not it. Why? Well, because while everything else was on par, the music selection was highly inappropriate for a restaurant. Tupac's unedited Hit 'em Up was playing loud as we sat and ate, i had my kids with me. Look, I'm by no means a snowflake and hyper-sensitive to profanity-laced music, but this was completely unexpected at a family-friendly restaurant. I still plan to eat here in the future, but I just wasn't feeling the vibes during the last visit.

Skip the Shacho Ramen and go for the pork rice bowl! The Breakdown Service & Speed: 5/5. I ordered within 5 minutes and the food arrived in 10. The manager lady is amazing, charismatic, and highly memorable. They're full service, they packed my leftovers. The Highlight (Pork Rice Bowl): Generous portion of rice and incredibly tender pork. Mixing in the egg and mayo made the dish, became the highlight of my meal. The Perks: Their menu is simple and straightforward, and adding extra toppings to your ramen is actually relatively inexpensive. The Disappointment (Shacho Ramen): This was my first meal here without fried chicken, and the Shacho Ramen unfortunately fell flat. It completely lacked the complexity and depth I was looking for. The Broth: Had the rich, heavy sesame creaminess I demanded, but it was incredibly one-note outside of that. The Spice: Level 2 had no heat at all. I asked for a side of extra spice, which helped a bit, but didn't save the dish. The Noodles: Very bland.Ended up packing most of it away Verdict: Come for the great service, cheap add-ons, and excellent rice bowls, but pass on the Shacho Ramen.

Everything from the flavor to the experience just feels a step above. The (always-vegan) broth is rich and well-balanced, and you can really tell the focus is on quality. One thing I really appreciate is how accommodating they are with customizations. I usually ask for my ramen without nori (seaweed) and skip the egg, and they get it right every time. It might seem like a small detail, but it makes a huge difference not having to send anything back. The atmosphere is also a big plus. It's cozy and inviting, perfect for sitting down and enjoying a warm bowl of ramen. The first time we went it was pretty busy, but it still felt comfortable. The second time, we went earlier in the day and it was quieter, which made the experience even better. At this point, anytime I'm craving ramen, this is where we go. I like that the menu tells you the soup, sauce, and toppings for each item. It's wonderfully detailed. Tonkotsu miso: 9.5/10. Absolutely delicious. I think my only small thing is that my friend got certain toppings in his tonkotsu shoyu that I would've also liked in mine, but that's all. The broth was rich without being too heavy, thanks to the miso. On the flip side, the tonkotsu didn't overpower the miso. It was a good blend of both broths.
