I was already eating with my eyes. After trying it, I'm very pleased lotta different flavors. I got a little bit of eel sauce sauce, and Ponzoo with a light spicy mayo on top. I like adding the more loose sauces first so that they can really get absorbed in the rice. I originally put five stars, and I only put four instead of five specifically coming from a Chef aspect. I love that I can come here and build my own bowl. And they sure do pile it on. A medium can feel two people. They have good protein options like tuna, spicy tuna, tofu, salmon and octopus. The bases I remember were salad, white rice or brown rice. Parking is easily accessible right outside the door. The inside is a nice size. You can order at the counter and dine in or get your food to go. I noticed some of the tables could use a wipe down, they had crumbs, a straw and/or bald up napkins. Actually the napkin was left on the table by a worker who was eating, he got up and left his used napkin on the table. Quality has gone down so much since they first opened. I went right when it opened today and it was pretty empty. I got the 3-scoop medium poke bowl and got half white rice and half mixed greens. They didn't have any brown rice ready. When I brought it back to my office, I noticed that the rice was cold and looked like it was a day old, the cucumbers were wilted, and the fish seemed a little spoiled. My coworkers actually warned me before I went that it was going to be bad, and that one of them got food poisoning from there a few months back, but I didn't listen because I was craving poke. I don't think it's necessarily the worker's faults but this chain has gone down in recent years. There are way better poke places out there. I've been to this location and the one in Torrance and both use frozen (like freezer burned) fish and product. When I ordered my bowl, the shrimp, corn, and tuna were slimy and tasted off. I stopped eating it because it had 0 flavor and I was worried about getting food poisoning. Easily the worst poke I've had. It was quite expensive too. The portions were decent, the place was also very clean. I don't recommend eating here. read more

Mind you I was the only Hispanic there every other customer plus employees are American white and Asian. Decently healthy and fast lunch, I got the medium bowl with 3 proteins - salmon, shrimp, and octopus, all tasted of decent quality. Also had "1.5" base of greens, which was dubiously measured. I also got the seaweed salad and crab salad plus a good selection of toppings. I thought I had crafted a hefty bowl that that would have yielded some leftovers, but I finished it easily in 1 sitting, which made it pretty pricey for a standard work week lunch. I did have leftover pickled ginger and a lot of wasabi... There is ample parking, it's easy to find, and the cashier was helpful. I think the portions were just smaller than I had hoped for given the price. Maybe I needed rice to fill me up. After having a few great tasting salmon bowls we had it Door Dashed this evening and the salmon was obviously not good. We called and shared that after a few great bowls this one was not so great. Unfortunately instead of attempting to keep us as returning customers we were told that because we ordered thru a 3rd party there was nothing they could do to resolve the issue. I've had a restaurant in the past absolutely resolve an issue even tho the order was placed thru door dash and i continue to order from them because of their excellent customer service. First time trying out Poke Bar (conveniently next Pensey's). Ordering process was pretty standard...the menu makes it easy for you. I ordered a "medium" with 3 protein, white rice and sides. I didn't want to be too adventurous for my first time so I got a 50/50 mix of regular tuna and spicy tuna. I opted for #2 recommended sauce combination: house + ponzu + sesame oil. These were all recommended by the counter staff. Everything came out to be $16 + tip $1.50. Took it to go and ate it when I got home. The flavor was really bland. I had to add more salt and my own furikake seasoning. And it STILL would not make magic happen. Maybe it was the sauce that I picked....next time I would probably go with sauces #1 or #3 which had shoyu. Please do not get any sauces without it unless of course you like bland food, lol. Overall it was okay....I was kind of disappointed because I was excited to try another poke place. read more

Dined in on 1/14/24. The family and I were planning to eat at Katsu Bar. Happy to see Poke Bar was in the same place. The family ordered Katsu while I proceeded to order poke bowl at Poke Bar. The lady was nice and gave good service. The spicy tuna was very spicy! If you like a very spicy, spicy tuna then this is for you! Unfortunately, the spicy tuna was way too spicy for my daughter. I also got spicy tuna but bc my bowl had other items such as salad and many of the other toppings, the spicyness wasn't as bad. I had other poke bowls from other places and honestly, I prefer the sauces from the other place. The sauces from Poke Bar was not as tasty but that could be bc I didn't know what sauce I like since it's my first time trying Poke Bar. I do like the generous portion of the medium bowl. The ambiance was modern and clean. Even the restroom was clean and that sats a lot about a restaurant. We will definitely be back. They are located in El Segundo. I don't recall ever giving one star to any establishment, but I can say with confidence that I am NEVER COMING BACK HERE. The first time I came into the restaurant, there was a long line that was not moving. Long story short, I had to head back to work with no lunch. Cut to today, I wanted to give this another try, so I attempted to place an order via Yelp as their website was not working. When I tried to check out, I kept getting an error message. I didn't want to deal with the long line so I tried to call ahead and their phones were not working either. I gave it a go and drove to the restaurant. There was one person in front of me so I thought it would be quick. I was wrong. There were four people behind the counter, and all of them seem to be so focused on online orders that nobody was attending to the customers waiting in line. Not even a " Hi, we will be right with you ". Not only that, there was a female worker talking to the other employees in a rude manner. Not the way to talk to humans in general, especially in front of customers. I actually felt bad for them. She ended up telling them to get out of the way so she can just do whatever needed to be done. Ordered through Uber eats: The food is definitely worth the price they charge. They aren't stingy with toppings, the fish taste fresh and doesn't have a strong odor to it. I've been to a few poke places and I am glad I found one I like. I also did order the miso, it came in a lil small container. It cost $2, and was a little salty but for that price I can't complain. Overall, the bowl is just okay. I ordered pick up and for the medium bowl for about $15 you get a decent amount of protein. However, the bowl has hardly any rice which was strange. The fish itself was good but didn't taste all that fresh - it was a bit dry as well. As for the service, again nothing special I walked in and said I was picking up and she just pointed which was fine but I would've appreciated a bit of a welcome.
