Then about 3 weeks ago I got some more by ordering for pickup and Uber Eats delivery. Then saw them again at Concern Foundation. When I picked up at Westside Eats. Here's what I got. 3x Original | 2x Spicy | 1x Mild, 2x CRAZY Hot The MF Cookie? Chewy, chocolatey, and gave cereal dessert vibes Juicy, tender chicken with bold flavor. This ordering experience was kind of bizarre, you show up to this white room with a tablet and rows of lockers and no human beings around. You order on the tablet and get a time to return and then you scan your receipt and a locker opens with your food. There was a guy like roaming around that eventually I put together must have worked there, he was super chill but at first I was like ?? who are u lol Anyway the food itself is super tasty! I wanted to try as many things as possible so I got the 5 piece box with potato salad and green beans and then a tofu box that came with rice and pickles. Both boxes came with the ranch, which is good but had I known it would come with it then I would have chosen the other sauce for the tofu box. But whatever all their sauces were nice and tasted different from one another. The potato salad was BOMB, super flavorful and a decent portion. The pickles were yummy and the rice was cooked well- very fluffy. The green beans were good too but a little basic just steamed most likely with a dipping sauce which again was good but the dish as a whole was nothing crazy. Okay main event - the chicken! I am a freak who doesn't like buffalo sauce kind of at all but especially when it's too vinegary so almost all of these sauces were honestly not for me, which I HATE to say!!! But!!!! The original sauce.... Absolutely ridiculous. So incredible. I would totally go back and just get the original time and time again. The breading was super flavorful and crunchy and the chicken was juicy and delicious. Tofu was good too!! so if you're a buffalo lover def go with a spicy option but if you're not! Just ordered from this new spot for delivery and wow! Big portion sizes and flavorful and juicy chicken. The ranch dressing is so creamy and goes really well with the chicken! Since I ordered for delivery I can't speak to the service or restaurant but I know this was prepared with care and quality- can't wait to try it again! I've liked this place a lot, ever since I first tried it a few weeks ago. Some of the best chicken in La. Now, I like them even more! I ordered delivery, and the app said they were out of potato salad. I wrote a note with my order, asking if they can swap the side salad for potato salad. Amazingly, when the order arrived, there was a nice note on the bag saying "sorry, we ran out of potato salad but I gave you what we had left". How nice is that?! They went above and beyond. This is fried chicken in a league of its own. We ordered enough, we thought, for two days and happily ate all of it in one day -- crispy, crispy on the perfectly seasoned crusty and so, so tender inside. Oh my god. This was the crispiest and juiciest chicken I've ever had. I had to come here and tell the world so this place never closes. I got the 3-piece with rice and house pickles. Portions were good and the meat was very juicy. The marinade/seasoning on the chicken and the sauces it came with, however, were far too sweet and salty - the flavor was overpowering to the point where I was struggling to finish my food, and I'm not someone who particularly dislikes sweeter fried chicken. I also tried the fried tofu, which use the same marinades, but the texture was great. I ordered pick-up from Uber Eats, and the location is a cloud kitchen, which seemed well-kept and organized. I wanted to try something new, so I ordered from Postmates. I am giving it 5 stars bc while I am not the right audience for their food, it is good and high quality. I am a huge fan of Tenkatori, Gus' Fried Chicken, Go Go Bird, and even fried chicken from the hot deli glass cases from Ralphs or even KFC. I loved that the chicken here was moist, juicy, and super flavorful. I do not like fried chicken where there is (a lot of) sugar in the sauce or marinade, which this one has. I got the mild spicy flavor based on another review. My spice level tolerance is in the Tabasco or Tapatio sauce level. When I opened the box, warm smells wafted up, but of sugar. Kinda like when you open a box of donuts, that faint sweet smell. If you have had the fried chicken from Yama Sake Sushi Attitude it is kinda similar to that; theirs is also in the sweet side. I love that they give you veggies for a healthier meal - cukes, green beans which were plain, and cabbage. They also give you 2 types of sauces. Loved the cukes. I also loved the potato salad it comes with. They also gave me a free cookie - very good, but I am more of the soft, chewy cookie fan, and this was the crunchy kind. The cookie was very flaky and layered so it was a great texture almost like a more tender Nature Valley granola bar. Again, these are all just personal preferences & I am not the target audience. Moist and succulent large pieces of white meat chicken with a crunchy panko coating and dipped in yummy asian sauces. Umami flavor galore.
