We reapplied anyway because we didn't want to lose the house. Communication was slow, inconsistent, and updates only came after repeatedly contacting the office. The owner of the property requested a double security deposit, which we agreed to, and then we received written confirmation from Kevin that our offer was accepted. That same day, Brett Kendrick told us, "Another applicant came through, so we'll let you know." After nearly a month of delays, shifting terms, repeated reopenings of the process, and additional fees, we withdrew and requested a refund, which was denied. Beyond the financial impact, this process cost us significant time and emotional distress. As a rental property owner myself, this was the most unprofessional exchange I've had. Renters should be aware that even if you apply, and qualify, and are approved, nothing is final.

We did resolve the issue with Brittany Springs, it was determined to be the fault of the complexes accountant. Now the issue is having the black mark removed from the credit report.
