Horrible customer service from the male manager. I called to see if they will have an certain item instock to be released and if they have a good amount in stock, he said he can't talk about it multiple times like it's some mysterious secret when it's public information. I called other boxlunch locations and they were extrememly helpful and gave me an answer. It's either a yes or no answer. How hard can it be? This location is horrible, experienced a similar snobby attitude from a male manager before as well in store, I'm not sure if it's the same one. Avoid this location. Where many stores are limited to basic items like shirts and backpacks, this store has a huge variety of goods for all types of fans. You can definitely find shirts and backpacks here, but you can also find items such as energy drinks, home decor and even slow cooker and waffle irons with your favorite characters. They have quite a bit of BoxLunch exclusive items and if you watch for sales, you can save yourself quite a bit on some pretty cool stuff. read more

This is a fun little place to step into in the mall, especially if you're a nerd. Lots of Knick-knacks to look at from top to bottom, mostly fandom-related (like Disney movies, Marvel, videogames, Harry Potter, etc.). Expect things like journals, pins, jewelry, socks, underwear, shirts, mugs, and of course Funko Pops. A lot of it is definitely on the pricier side, but let's be real, most of us in fandom are willing to throw a lot of money at our faves. The workers here always greet their customers. Their store is pretty interesting. I love how they have anime and cartoon items. They even have their own Pop Funko exclusive. Cons: Kind of small with limited of walk way space... Some of their products are pricy compare to others. I had a lot of fun looking at all the fun items, especially the Disney exclusives, throughout the store while the customer service guy was finding my pick up order. They have back packs, cups, t-shirts and a lot of novelty items so the store is fun and pretty unusual. There is free shipping for store pick up. I purchased a mini back pack online and the box was filled with a coupon for $25 off of a $75 purchase and $15 off $30 Box Lunch Money. The store also promotes donations to a meal program. read more

Eyegasm after eyegasm. Almost like a hot topic (i think they are owned by the same company) but cooler. This store digs a little deeper into fan favorites and brings you so many unique items. I could stay here for hours if i were to visit without my son/husband/mom. A bit pricey but the items they carry at this store arent the kind of stuff you can just find any where. Even better, a part of your purchase (not to sure about the fine print but i think it is every $10 spent) provides a meal for a person in need. I really hope this store does well. I readily admit that some of my complaints have as much to do with the apparent ethos of the "BoxLunch" chain as it does with the situation at this particular store, but either way, there are some problems. For those unaware, "BoxLunch" is an off-shoot of "Hot Topic" stores. It's basically all the pop culture crap from "Hot Topic" without tongue studs and spiked collars and crappy alternative rock band memorabilia. First and foremost, *every time* you come through the entrance you are pitched an extremely long speech from an employee about all of the running sales. This may not sound like much of a nuisance, but if you go into the store somewhat often (a few times per month sometimes), it grows tiresome. They are clearly forced to run through the extremely long speech even if they know they're actually bothering your shopping experience. They often ask if you've been into the store before, but it's clearly a useless question, because they run through the speech whether you say yes or no. The floor layout of this place is *awful*. It's impossible for more than one person (regardless of girth) to navigate through each "aisle" at the same time. There are essentially three or four "aisles" to work with, and you'll regularly find all of them blocked (and/or you're blocked in at the back of the store). Most problematically, the prices at this place are ridiculous. A few things (such as Funko Pop figures) are inexplicably slightly cheaper than Hot Topic, while other stuff is more expensive. A place has no business charging $40 for a crappy t-shirt. $85 for a BoxLunch-exclusive Funko Hikari figure? No surprise that I've seen the same figures go unsold at this place for *months*. My suggestion: Have a look around (if it's not too crowded), and then if you see something you like, buy it online where you can more times than not find it, and for a cheaper price. read more

This store is similar to Hot Topic and Spencer's. However, I think Hot Topic offers better sale promotions. I saw a Mulan shirt I liked, but I cannot justify paying $40 for a graphic shirt. I will shop here when they have sales, because I don't think it's worth it to pay full price on certain items. read more

The product & inventory of this store gets 5 stars! But the customer service?...is there a negative button? Honestly, I'm surprised at others yelp reviews that they had good service. I worked in oakridge mall for over a year and frequented boxlunch. Not once was I ever greeted nor asked if I needed help. This store is def NOT stroller or wheel chair friendly at all. Their cashwrap area is awful. It also happens to be where clearance is too, so it's always crammed with people as you're trying to be a paying customer. The last straw for me was when there was a long ass line, 4 girls behind the cash wrap, and one of them was sucking back the Mexican fruit cups they sell in the mall. So unprofessional. There should never be food on a retail sales floor! read more
