I've only had good experiences here when getting things dry cleaned. Prices are fair and service was great. However, there is a big safety issue with some of Boyer's customers parking in a residential driveway that is next door. More than once I've been forced to walk my kids into the street around these cars/worried someone might back up into us or hit us on the street and have seen a lot of dangerous moments with rude people. I finally spoke with someone who did this today and they were rude and unapologetic about this behavior, claiming it was okay and doesn't hurt anyone. Agree to disagree.. I would greatly appreciate if Boyer could please put up a sign asking that their customers don't do this; there is an elementary school next door and a child could be hurt! This is the walk to and from school for many local families. If I see Boyer put up a safety sign I will readjust my review. I really like this business otherwise. read more

If you could give 0 stars for personality, customer service, communication and customer interaction, this would be the EPITOME. The older folks, man and woman, look at you, grunt, moan and groan and don't say three words. They are angry, irritable and don't care about the customer. If you ask them for a little help here or there, nothing. More grunts, moans and groans. I have come here for a little while. They have lost my business. I never give 5 star reviews BUT... OMG I love this family owned and operated dry cleaner. It's right around the corner from where I live. They are beyond amazing and will clean just about anything. I brought in a sweater that had something very terrible happen to it. I tried to save a dog that got hit on the street while it was raining a couple months back. Long story short, I lost the dog and couldn't bear to look at this brand new blouse again. I was about to throw it away, but decided to ask if perhaps they could clean it for me, I had already washed it twice (never dried it) but the dirt and the wet dog smell just wouldn't come out. Viola, they got it clean! They are amazing. And give a discount if you pay in cash, just sayin' leave your plastic in the car. read more

How many times can you deny responsibility for ruined cloths before I stop returning? About 5 times too many, is apparently the answer. Today was the worst, a ruined burnt cuff, with pressed in wrinkles on the collar. And you blame the shirt? CARE FOR THE ITEM AND IT'S INHERIT FABRIC. When I explained the amount of times you have denied responsibility and that you were losing a customer that spends hundreds of dollars a month, your response? "GOOD!" The convenience of location kept us returning. No Longer. I advise against their abuse of fabrics and unappreciative business practices. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR CLOTHES HERE IF YOU TELL THEM YOU NEED THEM BACK AT A CERTAIN TIME!!!! My husband brought my 2 shirts and a pair jeans to get pressed. He was there 8:45 am and asked if they could be ready by 1pm. Gentlemen that services the counter said yes no problem. I came back at 12 pm to see by chance if they would be ready and was told "No your husband said 1:00 pm". I said OK, I will be back". I returned at 1:10 pm to pick up my items only to be told that the 2 shirts were not ready. I got upset at the Latin women that greeted me with a smile and told her that we wanted them ready at 1pm. I got upset at her and I apologized to her because it wasn't her fault. She was just the messenger of bad news. The man that told me to come back at 1pm emerged from the back and said it would be another 10 minutes. I told him " You tell me to come back at 1pm and it would be ready. Here I am and still not ready, is this how you do business?" He looked at me and walked away.....how can anyone do business with people that do not smile, show no emotions and do not even apologize for their mistakes. To make it worse I was charged full price, no compensation. Never again Boyer Cleaner will you ever have our family business. $2.50 to launder a man's button down shirt. $1less less than the cleaners next to gelson's in los feliz [classic cleaners] & without the attitude, and at least $1 less than the one near the ex-ralphs on glendale blvd. [silver glen cleaners i think it's called] shirts look pressed & dapper. next to a trader, a plus. as my 92-year-old father is still a clothes horse, the lower price makes a huge difference cumulatively. friendly service so far, and cleaning ready on time. i did get the 5% cash discount, unlike some who say they were reamed out of it. it was expensive to have an oxxford suit jacket cleaned: $9. but i expect it would have been even higher further west. read more

Very down to earth cleaning place with very accommodating staff. They were even open on Christmas Eve. My jackets and dresses came back clean and looks very taken care of. My favorite is that my velvet jacket came back soft and wonderfully cleaned. They even were kind enough to reinforce my falling buttons from one of my jackets at no charge. I recently got a new pair of GAP jeans that I wanted altered because the length was far too long. Their alterations was done very well and you can't even tell that it was even altered. The length was perfect and, as I asked, the orginal bottom hemline was kept. Prices are very reasonable. My jackets were $6 each and dresses were $8. My alteration cost $15. I showed up 2 weeks later to pick it up and she said they were unable to clean it. I have made peace with this cleaners. Years ago I was very unhappy with them. Found the people who own it rather cold. No more! Today they became my all time favorite. Boyer cleaned a badly stained old rug and made it look like new. A miracle! Their miracles are quite expensive, I might add. But not as expensive as a new rug. This place post's a sign that says 5% off if you pay cash. However, when you pay cash they don't give the discount unless you ask. I had a shirt cleaned that cost $2.20. When I asked the employee, "your sign says 5% off cash, she replied, "is 9 cents that important to you"? I replied yes, and buy the way 5% of $2.20 is 11 cents, not 9 cents. I agree, 5% is pretty much meaningless, but if you post a discount sign and then humiliate a customer for asking, I suggest you take the f------.sign down. read more

I think it's time to alter clothes elsewhere. We used this place the whole time I was a kid, and the work was good. Not so much anymore. They hemmed my dress unevenly. So I requested a redo. Now, it's noticeably uneven on the other side. Also, I wanted a shirt dry cleaned. When I picked it up with a bunch of other stuff, I noticed the grease stain was still there. When I inquired, they said a second dry-clean could probably take it out and they'd redo it. Sure enough, it worked. But why didn't they notice the grease stain and address it to me when I went to pick it up? Or redo it beforehand? read more
